Most of this report appears to be an anthropological thesis or dissertation on the Native American tribes from mid-Columbia River and eastern Oregon area. What appealed to me were the chapters on mythological tales recorded from the original peoples. My personal favorite story, "Testing of the Great Tah Power of the Warrior," an Umatilla story, expressed a strong moral lesson (about loyalty and courage).
