For every successful person in a perpetual-crisis mode--swimming in papers, overrun with complicated new technology, hamstrung by details, and starving for time--here are simple, practical strategies for getting back your desk, your peace of mind, and most of all your time.
At some point in the last 5 years someone rec'd this to me as the 'best time management book ever.' welp, it's not. It's just another book. At least I feel some kind of achievement for reading it and getting it off my physical tbr pile, and now I can release it into the world.
I like this book a lot. It has good yet slightly outdated advice about time management. More importantly, I believe that it has good advice about how to properly organize yourself as an adult for the least amount of stress. It seems to be more of a life advice book rather than a time-management book, but I think that is what makes it work well. My favorite sections are "Powerful Planning" and "The Added Challenges of the Home Office". The former teaches you the importance of prioritization, which is something that I would like to use in my day-to-day. And the latter teaches you how to comfortably work from home, which I believe is important in the post-Covid world.
