I was excited to discover this book on Kindle because I’m currently going through a very stressful period in my life and was hoping it would offer some helpful support.
The tone of the book is warm and validating, which I appreciated. It reassures that burnout is not simply a matter of not trying hard enough, and that perspective can feel comforting.
However, I found that much of the content repeated ideas that are already covered in many other books on burnout and wellbeing, so there wasn’t a lot that felt new or particularly insightful to me. I also struggled with the writing style, which felt overly enthusiastic and somewhat juvenile at times, making it harder for me to fully engage with the material.
