Jake Garrison is an all-around nice guy who tries to stay out of the limelight despite being considered one of Dallas's most eligible and wealthy bachelors. He's down-to-earth and a quiet people-pleaser until someone pushes his buttons. Tori Caye not only pushes his buttons, she pulls him into her special kind of chaos with tears and those sexy amber eyes.

Tori Caye is a mean-girl debutante whose sense of entitlement exhausts even those close to her. After her fiance of two years calls off their engagement, she throws herself into the arms of Jake Garrison and tries to manipulate him while trying to maintain her uppity disposition.

The attraction between Jake and Tori is off-the-charts, but it's game-on when he thinks he can tame Tori, and when Tori tries to bend him to her will.

Jake Garrison is a down to earth guy who just happens to be one of Dallas's most eligible bachelors. He is also a millionaire but likes to keep things simple and gives a lot back to help others. He hates the limelight and loves the quiet life.
Tori Caye is an 'IT' girl, a sharp tongue, media loving, scene making rich girl. She is also a Spoilt heiress to a perfume empire. After her two year engagement to Quinn ends and he marries bartender Kylee instead, Tori finds the only person she wants to be around to help her move on is Jake.

This book picks up where the previous one ended at Quinn and kylee's wedding.
Tori is pretty much following Jake around like a lost puppy and trying to get him to notice her. He knows she is after him but keeps backing off as he doesn't want to take on the tornado that is Tori. He also thinks she could be after him only to get back at his good friend Quinn. However Tori is surprised to find herself extremely attracted to Jake. He has always been one of the friends in the group and not the normal type of guy she would go after so she finds it hard when her advances are constantly being rebuffed by him. But like a moth to a flame she keeps on trying.

I loved that this couple were long time friends trying to figure out if they could be more. I found that I was relieved when I looked at my kindle and saw that I was only 30 % into this story as I was hooked before the end of the first chapter and I just didn't want this one to end. If you've been following my reviews on this series you will know Ty and Maggie are my couple. Ty is my man. Book one was the best, it had humour, the character's had great chemistry and it was very sexy. That has been my favourite in the series so far. That is until Tori and Jake came along. Taming Tori is a great love story which is funny and well written and really draws you in. You already know the characters going in as all the friends are back but this is not just a continuation from the other books as very early on in the book you can see the character development. Reading this series is like watching old friends grow up and get wiser as they learn from their mistakes.

Jake is a great hero for this tale. He was smart and funny and was flawed but he was a good guy willing to try. Tori has changed so much from the first book to this one. I couldn't stand her in the first, warmed to her in the second and I all out love her in this one. I would read other books about this couple if any were to come out! (Hint Hint) They are not a perfect match which is why this story works the way it does.

Unlike the first two this one didn't give me a slow burn. Instead I was set alight very early on. I hate to sound repetitive but it is all about chemistry and Tori and Jake have lots and lots of it. Reading this I felt everything between them from the shy touches to the meaningful lingering looks. I enjoyed every moment I spent reading this book and actually went back to read several parts of it again once I finished it. This is a really good contemporary romance and it makes reading a series well worth it when you get to enjoy a book as much as I did this.

I adored Ty and Maggie, Quinn and Kylee were a good couple too though it took me longer to come around to them but Tori and Jake I loved from the start. This book has just blown the other two out the water.

9 out of 10 and 2 out of 3 flames for heat.

Having read the first two in this series I already knew I didn't like Tori Caye. She was a spoiled brat rich girl who had no problem looking her nose down on anyone who didn't have a chauffeur or multimillion dollar bank account. I so much didn't like Tori, I wasn't sure I wanted to read the book. How on earth was Ms. Romes going to take such an unlikable character and make her likable? Truth be told, I shouldn't have doubted her because she did it in only the way Jan Romes can. She used an age old tool that has tamed many a difficult woman, true all-accepting love. Jake Garrison is an all around nice guy, rich, handsome, down to earth and has been crushing on Tori for a lot of years. Jake finds Tori infuriating, gorgeous, maddening, and sexy. In her private moments she's tender and vulnerable and in her public moments she's demanding and take charge. Coming off a bad two year relationship with Jake's friend Quinn, Tori has a bad taste in her mouth for men. Jake is convenient, or at least that's what she wants her friends to believe.

The story progresses in a way most stories about rich people don't. Jake teaches Tori how to be giving and Tori teaches Jake how to be patient. Jake teaches Tori about how to let the person she really is on the inside come out and Tori teaches Jake that an act is sometimes just an act, and the persons true heart is just hidden for painful reasons.

I always get a few good chuckles out of the Texas Boys Falling Fast series and such was the case with Taming Tori. Whether they were at the car wash or the dollar store, Ms. Romes had me laughing and saying 'awwww' throughout the whole book. If you're looking for a fun, lighthearted, bad girl turns good girl, kind of read then Taming Tori is the one for you. Even though this is the third in the series Ms. Romes does an excellent job weaving in the back story so you won't feel lost if you read this as a stand alone, but I highly recommend getting the first two in the series too!

Taming Tori (Texas Boys Falling Fast Book 3) by Jan Romes

Jake Garrison, one of Dallas's most eligible bachelors is an really nice guy. He is quiet, well grounded and set in his life. Until Tori sets her eyes on him.

Tori Caye, a spoiled and mean debutante who is used to getting her way, even if it means making enemies. After her fiance of two years calls off their engagement, she throws herself at Jake. She knows what she wants and is not afraid to go after it.

Jake is very likable, the "boy next door type", he is super rich but does not let that change his nice personality. Tori is out right mean, difficult, and at times not very likable.

The two are a very unlikely pair, there is a lot of drama, tension among friends, many differences between them , yet they still attempt a relationship. It was very interesting to see how the story unfolds, and where it will end? Will Jake be able to Tame Tori? and does he really want to?

I highly recommend Taming Tori to those who like romance. The story is original and fun.I look forward to reading book four in the series Not Without Nancy.

A group of friends: "Taming Tori" ( Texas Boys Falling Fast) by Jan Romes
What I love about this series is the friendship these Texas couples have. They all have money, it means different things to each of them. The lessons learned and the growing up with such friends is priceless. They go through ups and downs learning who they really are, they are always there for each other. They teach each other what friendships all about. Tori's one of the toughest to figure out, will the group give up one her or let her into their world? Jake wants to walk away from the ice princess, even he has his limits. Download this awesome series, follow the Handsome Texas boys and read about each one falling for their soulmate.

I enjoyed Tori's personal journey as she struggles to become the person she was meant to be. Jake has some trust issues of his own, along with a couple of naysayer friends who add conflict to the situation. It was fun to see the heroine and hero come together, especially when their relationship seems impossible at the beginning of the tale. Good read!

In this story, Ms. Romes digs deep, watching Tori grow from an ice princess to a friendly charitable woman was delightful. Jake the all-around nice guy might have had something to do with the change. Their love/hate relationship keeps you turning the pages until the end. I also enjoyed hearing from their common friends, from book 1, Ty and Maggie, from book 2, Quinn and Kylie, and I can’t wait to read Trigg’s and Nancy’s story. Well done, Jan.

Nice story aec

I truly lived the rich humanity shown by Jake and Tori. This is the third book in this series I've read. Sadly, I just can't justify giving more than three stars at this time. Most pages have serious grammar and punctuation issues. When, and if, Romes' has professional editing done, and she gives me the fully edited eBook, I will revise my review accordingly.
