⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely amazing!!

I loved this book!! From start to finish, A Heart of Ice is packed with so many characters, layers, and intricate puzzle pieces that I couldn’t put it down. K. Wright has crafted such a rich world, and I was completely hooked.

Summer is an incredible protagonist, and her group of friends brought so much heart and depth to the story. Jackie and Koda completely stole the show for me—I’m obsessed with them! There are so many interesting side characters that I could definitely devour little spin off novellas or series for them too! There’s too many lovable characters to choose from!!

The magic system is unique and well thought out, and the love triangle had just the right amount of tension. Add in fate, political intrigue, conspiracy theories (seriously, I may never trust technology again…), and you’ve got a story that constantly keeps you guessing.

Every thread felt intentional, and the way it all tied together left me speechless. I can’t wait for the next book! If you’re a fan of fantasy with high stakes, layered relationships, and twisty worldbuilding, A Heart of Ice is a must-read.

This book was so fun!!! The relationships and dialogue were top-tier and left me wanting more. While I’ll always take more Koda (*hint hint nudge nudge* I need lots of Koda in book 2), I really loved learning about Summer’s friends and the stories of how they found each other. The plot was plotting and kept me on my toes throughout the whole book, but that ending…wow. Did not see it coming! Highly recommend.

5/5 read for me. K. Wright accomplished the romantic & fantasy plot line balance PERFECTLY. Because it is written from different POVs, I was able to get a better understanding on each of the main characters, and get an insight to their feelings & intentions. The characters from this book have so much depth to them, it felt like I knew them while reading this. And THE MEN? Koda (especially Koda), Dune and Aaron (yes, Aaron don’t judge) - I’m kinda in love with them all?

A Heart of Ice is filled with twists and turns which kept me intrigued (& also kept me up way too late at night reading because I just could not put it down!)

The cliffhanger and revelations at the end.. I was not expecting!! Now, I won’t be able to stop thinking about it!! I am SO excited to read the next one!

Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am new to the fantasy genre and this book was perfect for newbies like me. The world building was easy to follow and it helped that it was rooted in real world experiences that I could relate to. I also loved learning about the different wielding powers and can’t wait to see how they will be used! And the characters were *chefs kiss* 🤌🏻

Summer is a badass FMC. I love a good woman in STEM book and was so pleased that the plot revolved around technology.

There were so many fun side characters too! I loved Jackie & Kyria and Emily!
*hint* I would loveee a side story on Emily & Teival 😉

And then there’s Koda 😍😍
I lived for the moments Summer and Koda had together…and his pining!! Sooo good 🥵

This book killed me with its ending and cliffhanger! But I cannot wait for the next book to find out what happens! Super amazing and fun read!

And now for some of my favorite moments with Koda…because, just yes 🥵

”The compulsion surges through me to take her by the face and consume her. To let her overtake my soul. Tucking a windblown caramel lock of hair behind her ear, I try not to let my hand tremble too visibly.”

”He traces my pulse down my neck with his teeth and tongue.”

”His forehead never leaves mine. We keep getting closer without actually making contact. He cups the back of my head, his thumb rubbing my cheek. Koda’s breathing is as heavy as my own.”

This book was great! I like that it is fantasy with more of a modern spin. The writing style was super easy to follow, which made it a smooth and fun read. From the first chapter to the last, it kept me engaged the whole time—I didn’t want to put it down. The story flowed well and the characters were interesting. I can’t wait for the next book!
