How did I get my name? Nah, let’s leave that story for another day. Fact is, at six foot seven, I’m the tallest member of the King’s of Anarchy Arizona chapter, with a physique to match my height. Men fear me just for my size alone.
But my bulk only meant I went down more heavily, when I came off my bike due to an ambush. Knocked out, crushed under my bike, left for dead, the brothers with me had to battle it out on their own. When I eventually came back to life, it was to find, as expected, the Kings had vanquished the enemy in that they’d soon turned their backs and fled. For now.
Me though? Well, I was beaten up quite badly, taken back to the club, and subjected to the mercies of our on-call medic, who I hate with every bone in my body.
It was no secret that though his medical proficiency wasn’t in doubt, he’d been struck off the practitioners’ register due to his more dubious activities with patients. With the Kings being his best customer now, we knew he’d treat us and keep his mouth shut.
Turns out we didn’t know the depths of the depravity in Doc’s past. Can we turn a blind eye? He’s an important asset to us, one we couldn’t replace easily. One especially necessary now we’re being targeted by another club.
Are there limits to what even the Kings of Anarchy can stomach?

I don’t care how the hero tried to play it off - his actions proved that he most certainly did care about her being a virgin for the exact reasons he said he didn’t. And the heroine is so damn traumatised, she’d believe anything the hero says.

Secrets Come to Life
This is another addition to the KOAMC series and it was full of surprises that changes everything and everyone. Bron has been to the club before with her father who is the club’s doc and even though she was shy and liked Short, he was warned off her by his President. Now desperate she comes to Short for help. The secrets that come out sure took me by surprise. I’m so happy after everything that the “three” of them were able to find their HEA. This is a must-read book.

Short is a great addition to Manda's KOA library.
This story builds into something you're really not expecting, but once you find out the truth, it unsettles you but keeps you captivated.
You have Short, the brother warned away from the Doctor's daughter, Bron, by everyone in the club. To begin with his misunderstanding of her makes things easy, but as soon as her truth is exposed. all bets are off.
I fully engaged with the story, and felt the mix of MC and relationship was very well spread, but there were a couple of occasions where it felt a little repetitive, but on the whole another great addition to the KOA world.
I can't wait to see how this series unfolds.

I did adore Short and Bron... I loved the camaradie within the club. But the one that stole my heart was Trip.
Despite all he had been through and what had been planned for him, he overcame it all and showed his love to Bron and Short.
Bron been beaten down, abused and used her whole life. She felt worthless and unloved, to have a man like Short show her attention scared her. I loved how easily Short took to Bron and Trip, how quickly they became his family.

I loved Short and Bron together. Bron is the mc's doctors daughter that helps the club when needed. When Bron and Trip are in danger , Bron runs to Short for help. When the truth comes out, Short will do everything in his power to save his family with the club's help.Im not giving spoilers away but i will say this book is a must read.

What could I possible say about this amazing book? This is the first one I have read from Manda in the Kings of Anarchy Arizona series. Manda brings you a storyline full of shocking surprises you don't see coming, a lot of different emotions, twists and turns, harsh brutal scenes and amazing characters that bring it all together for one amazing read.
The female lead in this storyline truly was wow. She was fierce loyal and gentle. There was definitely an edge to her and it was amazingly written. To be able to read her story and see how she deals with everything in her life. It had me turning the pages so fast to see what was going to happen. She is a nurse and the daughter of the club's doctor. She is the one that comes to the club and helps the injured now more than her father. But she is hiding quite the secret. Secrets that could easily haunt her the rest of her life if she let them.
Short is a member of the MC. He is injured and Bron comes to take care of him. He is interested in her but she is too innocent for him and is off limits. But he sees something there when he talks to her and he ends up offering a shoulder. Bron will do whatever it takes to protect her little brother Trip from their father. Something comes to light and she runs to Short for protection. Everything changes when the truth comes out. But will Short believe her and be willing to still protect her when the truth comes to light?

Reading about Trip and what he went through and how he came out at the end really made the book that much better for me. I absolutely loved how well his character was thought out.

Bronwyn is the daughter of the MC doctor. She is treated very poorly by her father and Short has noticed. He's more than attracted to her, but she's off limits to anyone in the MC and Short himself figures he's not a good man for her. He's too old, too wild and she's an innocent. But Bronwyn has a lot of secrets and when everything gets exposed, Short has to not only prove himself to her, but step up and protect all those he's claimed. The MC has enemies and there is a lot of action as well as romance in this story. The only issue I had with the book was the initial MC reaction to just the first secret they learned. The MC Prez especially made a comment that rubbed me the wrong way, basically saying they didn't know the whole story and maybe Bronwyn did something to deserve what happened to her. Yes, the MC are outlaws, and I'm sure this is hypocritical, but I wanted them to put a woman in crisis above their petty needs, i.e. a doctor to hide their illegal activities that lead to injury. Thankfully, the MC did come around, but it really bugged me enough to lower my rating to 4 Stars.

Short & Bronwyn: triggers- child molestation, child abuse, domestic abuse, sexual assault, incest, unregistered birth, missing children, sex trafficking, gun trafficking, assault, torture, blackmail. wow, this author really put in almost everything but the kitchen sink as far as triggers goes and I'm still missing some. this was a really long yet really good story that covers the highly mistreated daughter of the doctor the MC has been using for their ailments and Short, one of the patched members that is seen helping her a lot in the previous book. Bronwyn is very quiet, shy and a little closed off but definitely has a tiny crush on short though she'll never act on it because of her dad. Short has been warned away from Bronwyn and doesn't really talk to her until he's in need of medical help. we learn that someone has a dark secret and it will bring danger to the club. so the club steps up to include Bronwyn in their protection coverage and prepare for the fight that's coming. really good story that has all the twists and turns and is very steamy.

January 26, 2026Wow…just wow! Manda never disappoints with her originality to tell the story. and has delivered another outstanding story! Storm and Bronwyn’s story is full of heartbreak, pain, abuse, suffering, and more. Packed with a lot of different emotions, twists and turns, and great characters. A very in-depth look at abuse and overcoming the trauma and challenges that Bronwyn has faced and the healing process.
Trip is such a bright, special little boy and how both of them handle him and his disability is amazing and truly heartwarming. It’s a real tragedy what he had endured, too, but overcoming the obstacles is very powerful.
Loved having some other KOA members from other chapters making appearances and lots of laughs.

This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with found family, friendships, with heartbreak, pain, abuse, danger, suspense, intrigue, tension, trauma, secrets, surprises, engaging and realistic characters, survival, revelation, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, twisted, and unpredictable, addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Action packed no holds barred story, abuse, pain, torture and special needs. It covers a lot of sensitive subjects but Short is amazingly understanding and gentle when it's needed, his background gives him that with Bron and Trip. The club brothers are soon supporting them and looking for justice. The scenes are brutal at points along the journey so don't expect a nice calm romance, though there are the caring loving scenes as well. For anyone that loves MC and likes the hard and soft sides and how they blend then this is perfect, it definitely kept me reading. It's a fairly long book so I didn't get to read it in one day but I enjoyed that it gave me time to get into the characters and the lifestyle, details sometimes missed with shorter stories. Edgy and powerful right to the end.

I was super excited to read this book. I was fascinated by the characters when they were introduced in Property of Saint. The characters were great through most of the book. There were some twists that were unexpected. The fight scenes were believable. There were some things that had me cringing. While an easy read, the author threw in some vocabulary that doesn't seem to fit the story. And there seems to be a rush in trauma recovery. I feel like it was the author's way of getting to the pretty bow HEA. The author also throws in characters from other books, which readers of the saga will love. While I'm not eager or excited for the next book in this series, or dying to read the others in the saga, I don't regret the time I spent reading it. Overall, it was a good read.

I have to say I loved the storyline on this one. In previous books, Short has been referred to as a big guy who helps, possibly fancies and is warned off the Dr’s Daughter… but in this book – his Story – he is waaay more than that. As someone who understands what it’s like to have an abusive upbringing, his help and support is invaluable when he offers his shoulder and ear to Bronwyn, a student nurse who has been around the clubhouse for a while, helping out her father, the Dr. But…, she has some secrets of her own, which shock him to the core – she is not who or what he thought she was……. Brilliant writing for this one – Highly recommended reading. A definite page turner

Property Of Short is book 2 in the Kings of Anarchy MC; Arizona Chapter written by the talented author Manda Mellett. This is Short, the tallest member of the King’s of Anarchy Arizona chapter and Bronwyn, the daughter of the MC doctor. Short is attracted to Bron but he has been warned off her by his president. The plot is full of action, danger, drama, lies, secrets, pain, abuse, suspense, lots of emotions, trust issues, hot chemistry and love. This pairing had me on the edge of my seat and completely enthralled from beginning to end... I just couldn't get enough of them! My third favorite character in this book is Trip! Highly recommend! I can't wait to see how this series unfolds.

This book had me hooked from the very beginning, and I loved how Manda Mellett wove together a story that was both heart-wrenching and heartwarming. The characters were well-developed and relatable, and I appreciated Manda's thoughtful portrayal of complex issues like abuse and disability. I also totally fell in love with Trip and seeing how much he changed with love and attention! The story was full of twists and turns, and I was on the edge of my seat as I turned the pages. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with this book and can't wait to read more from her and book 3, yes I've pre-ordered it!

Short and Bronwyn's story gives us a fantastic ride. It comes with everything! Rival club trouble, degenerate, abusive Doc, found family and love where you least expect it. These characters, every single one of them, are great! They're relatable, easy to love and you either want to slap them or kiss them depending on the page. Trip breaks my heart. That kid as well as Bronwyn hasn't had it easy. I love that the club steps up and takes care of them as a family should but I really love Short and Bron together. These two are absolute perfection!

So much mayhem and some murder in the mix. The Kings are in for a rough ride. Theyve got enemies who wants them dead. After nearly killing three of the brothers, the hunt is on.
A man who is a rotten pedophile and who committed incest is the club doctor. Short fell in love with his daughter an offers her friendship after he saw how her father treated her. She fled to the club one night with her "brother" in tow. Bron has been to hell and back. Without giving too much more, I suggest you get this book. I totally recommend it.

This book kept me turning the pages and on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. Bron has been keeping secrets about her life that eventually come to light. Short knows she's forbidden and offers her friendship. Secrets, danger, truths, loyalty, steam, action, and an adorable little boy who will capture your heart fills these pages. This is a must read in this series and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Manda this book is amazing. Short and Bron have each had a horrible life growing up. This story is so heartbreaking Bron and Trip have both suffered at the hands of those who should have loved and taken care of them. Bron takes a chance and reaches out to Short for help. This book has my feelings all over the place. Wonderful story!! All of Manda’s books are great!!!

Great story! Short and Bronwyn are an awesome couple. This book is full of love, heartbreak, and pain but is told beautifully. Manda is an amazing writer and does it again with this installment of KOA!

That was pretty good and freaking hillerious at the end lol but there's 1 thing I don't get that leaves me wondering with questions. It started out rough between them but it smoothed out over x. I can't believe everyone she went through in her life. Short is a good man 2 protect her.
