On my last business trip to Singapore in 2006, I had a chance to trek the Bukit Timah preserve and see a juvenile Spiny Hill Tarrupin near a spring. These are very strange-looking creatures with long, sharp-spiked scales. The other most seen reptile was the Garden Fence Lizard which is able to rapidly change colors depending on its "emotions" and background.
