Note to Reader: Nightingale is a Paranormal Romance story but certainly not about pretty vampires. The characters are gritty and raw. They have hot, steamy sex and talk nasty adult language when their doing it. There's violence and blood, motorcycles, tattoos, men with muscles , women with curves, a whole lot of leather and some chains here and there. So yeah, if you don't like that sh** don't read this book. But for those of you that do, you're in for a treat. So buckle up the straps if you're into that stuff and enjoy ride. I know I did!
What starts as a story about a downtrodden, abused woman turns into a bloody, sexual, intriguing tale.
Yes, there were a few issues - the changes in Jayde's personality were abrupt and there were a few things repeated needlessly at the start - but apart from that I enjoyed the messy angry bloody sex and even the fact that I have no clue where the story is heading.
I downloaded Nightingale as a free book from Amazon. A short, violent tale ending on a cliffhanger-- one of those cliffhangers where the action simply stops. I never grew to like Jayde, I found her annoying for the most part. I also didn't understand her relationships (Why?). I'll skip the rest of the series, this one's not my flavor of vampire story.
Meh! I didn't care for it. Not only is a huge cliffhanger, but it is so short that not much got accomplished. Jade is different than the others and Sergei is supposed to be the male MC, so far, but my impression of him is effeminate.
