When we left Nathan and Lily at the end of ‘Gone But Not Goodbye’, Lily was preparing to give the only answer she feels she can ever give Nathan. But will she marry the man who saved her life? Or will she agree with the others who know she’s not ready? Nathan’s latest case is close to home and he is none too pleased when he meets Lily’s new friend, Alfonso, who she is spending more time with. With Nathan fixated on a case, will he be there when Lily needs him most?
A R Kennedy lives in Long Beach, New York, with her two pups. She works hard to put food on the floor for them. As her favorite T-shirt says, ‘I work so my dog can have a better life'. She’s an avid traveler. But don’t worry. While she’s away, her parents dote on their grand-puppies even more than she does. Her writing is a combination of her love of travel, animals, and the journey we all take to find ourselves.
another free kindle read that was terrible yay book 1 was Gone... But Not Missed and it was basically the same book but without any plot left, and also a meSS of problems. I also didn't read book 2 but I don't feel like I missed anything :/ there were typos and grammatical errors throughout and there was so much just,,,,fluff and also it ended on a cliffhanger -_-
Oh my, I thought this was the last book in this series but discovered at the end of this one there was a #4! The cliffhanger endings in these books are maddening but I just can't stop reading them! So I've started #4 and will, with luck, do a fuller review. Obviously, I'm enjoying the series as I've given each of the first three 5 star ratings. It appears that #4 is so new it hasn't yet been logged into Goodreads. Hope it shows up by the time I've finished reading it, ie, Gone but not Together. ************** We'll, I finished Gone but not Together. It ended with another cliffhanger and the author said there would be a #5. Eeek ! Who knows when it will be published?
So the series has completely taken over my life for the past 3 days. Now I need to take a break. I can't really do a mammoth review without giving away too much information. But the lives of the two protagonist's are getting more and more convoluted. Lily and Nathan alternate the narration. Usually that would annoy me, but in this series it works. But given I thought the series would end in three books, I'm getting more and more worried what will happen to them. Nathan is an NYPD detective who works on serious cases in each story while Lily continues to deal with the trauma of being kidnapped. Since the next book isn't published as yet, I am bowing out feeling very unsettled and apprehensive about their lives as well as the lives of several ancillary characters. I will say that I would not recommend reading any of these books as stand-alone novels. They must be read in order.
