It wasn't a very pleasant reading although a lot of useful information was provided about online teaching and learning.

"Effective online learning needs to be collaborative and interactive." (p. 58)

"One key aspect when designing online learning and teaching is to allow sufficient time for the teacher to remain involved in providing ongoing support." (p. 113)

"Similarly, it enhances student autonomy via its preference for selfdirected and experiential learning, where the learner has more direct control over the pace and use of self in learning activities." (p. 187)

"Materials are usuall ymuch more transparent and shared than in the traditional lecture hall mode." (p. 187)
