Part travel guide and part love letter to the red rock country around Sedona, Arizona. I thought this was a bit more cerebral than most of the Arizona Highways series of travel guides but of the quality I expect in those publications, including the beautiful and often dramatic photography.
Sedona: Official Guide to Red Rock Country By: Lawrence W. Cheek 96 pages non-fiction/informational
Most people love to take vacations. They like going to warm places like the beach to relax, or cold places to ski or snowboard. What if you went somewhere that gives you a little bit of both. Next time you take a vacation check out Sedona in Arizona. Sedona is a beautiful land filled with beautiful rock formations and tons of fun. The place is stunning and it gives you a good mix of weather. It rains, has hot and cool temperatures, and it even snows. Sedona seems to attract many people because of it's beauty and wonder. It truly is a beautiful place to see.
I gave this book three stars because at times the book could be boring, but it was full of good information. I've been to Sedona before, and after reading this book I learned so much that I didn't already know. It really is a pretty sight to see. If you don't really enjoy sight seeing, you can still have fun while you're in Sedona. You could go shopping for native souvenirs, or you could go to a place called slide rock. Slide rock is a place where you can swim in Sedona's cool waters. The floor of the shallow pool is made up of a slippery rock which you can slide on! It's very much like a slipping slide. You can do all sorts of things at Sedona. Sedona is quite a beautiful and fun place to be.
