Stealing Her Privilege

Rate this book
When I had a one-night stand with the gorgeous brunette named Bree on vacation, I knew our paths might cross again. What I didn’t expect was to walk into her office the morning of my Major League debut with the Music City Troubadours and be introduced to her as their lawyer—Gabrielle Pierson.

She may insist what happens on vacation stays on vacation, but I don’t miss the way she looks at me, and I sure can’t deny the desire to pick up where we left off when I see her walking around in tight skirts, heels, and those damn librarian glasses. When I get arrested and she’s in charge of making sure I fulfill the terms of my plea agreement, any thoughts we had about maintaining a professional relationship go out the window.

They don’t call me The Chaser for nothing. To the world, I’m the star rookie playboy with the highest stolen base percentage in the league and a penchant for chasing women and trouble off the field. But, I’ve never wanted to chase anything more than this woman. I’m going to prove to her why my nickname is so fitting. I’m relentless when I go after what I want, and I want her. More than the bases. More than the records. Hell, more than my next breath. She may be forced to deal with me right now and may want to deny what’s happening between us. But by the time this is over, she’s going to be mine.

Stealing bases may be what I do but stealing her heart is a privilege.

Stealing her Privilege is a spicy contemporary baseball sports romance with an age gap (she's older), forbidden workplace romance with no third act breakup and includes tons of banter and found family. Their one night stand can be read in Tryst (A Music City Troubadours novella).

ARC Review of Stealing Her Privilege

📖 Stealing Her Privilege

✍🏻 @tleighturner_author

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thank you @tleighturner_author for the E-ARC! 💕 All opinions are my own.

Turner gave us tension, angst, found family + swoony romance — and I’m OBSESSED. 💕⚾

Wow — Turner really knocked it out of the park with this one! ⚾ I haven’t read Book 1 or the novella Tryst yet (but I will 👀), because her writing keeps you on the edge of your seat and craving more.

This story follows Gabrielle & Chase, who first met at Ivyor & Preston’s wedding in Tryst. From the very first chapter, sparks fly when Chase shows up in Gabrielle’s office — and the banter, tension, and angst are SO good. I adored Gabrielle’s friends (Miller’s jokes had me laughing out loud 😂), and Chase… let’s just say he’ll make you feel all the feelings. 🥹 Watching him find his place with the team + his vulnerable moments with Gabrielle = perfection.

✨ If you love sports romance, found family, and sizzling chemistry, you need this series on your TBR! Book 1 + the novella are out now, and Book 2 (Stealing Her Privilege) releases in just ONE WEEK! Pre-order ASAP! 💌

We were introduced to the ONS FMC Gabby and MMC Chase had in the novella Tryst. Gabby is the in-house lawyer for the Troubadour’s baseball team and Chase is the rookie shortstop who just got called up to the majors. Gabby wants to forget their ONS ever happened but can’t and Chase can’t forget it and isn’t going to let her forget it! Chase is delightfully cocky but cares deeply and works hard to prove himself to Gabby. Gabby is focused on work and so uptight and trying so hard to prove herself worthy of her job. Honestly, she was kind of annoying about it! The Troubadour’s world and found family that has been created here is very supportive and very beautiful. Gabby’s health scare was handled with honesty and TLC. How Gabby herself handled it however, made me want to tell her to knock it off. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I am telling you, YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS BOOK!!! I am obsessed! It started with a bang and only got better and better!

I feel so much like Gabby! The overthinking and insecurities and not wanting to burden people and keeping things to herself! I do all that, even after being married and with my hubby for 17 years, it is just who I am. But she is a Boss Babe, so strong and smart and doesn’t always see or realize it! And Chase loves all those side of her and doesn’t want to change her. When I read an MMC who basically gushes about the FMC (even in his thoughts) it just makes feel happy and so content. It feeds a part of my soul in way that is very hard to describe. Chase is so down bad and I honestly could not get enough of him! He is persistent and relentless, but he still follows Gabby’s lead. I loved jealous Chase, obsessed Chase, and possessive Chase, spicy Chase and SWOONY Chase. Chase’s character growth was done so well and I loved it because 1) he wants to be and do better for Gabby and 2) he really wants to show he belongs on the team.

I could not get enough of the banter, both in person and in text! And then the spice in this book was H-O-T!🔥🥵 I felt all of this balanced the more serious parts of this book without taking away from either. As for the serious aspect of this book: it was done with a vulnerability, sincerity and consideration that made me feel this on a more personal level where I did not just sympathize and empathize with Gabby but feel a deeper respect for her and every person who has, is or will have to deal with this health situation.

The found family in this series continues grows and have me loving this group and their friendship while making me excited for all their stories. Miller and Preston’s bromance is still top notch and they have added Chase as their third! The girls’ relationship is full of acceptance and understanding and love, and after this book will be even deeper and stronger.

Chase is obviously the MMC and he kills it. Readers are going to go crazy for him! But I have to shout out the other male characters: Miller continues to be hilarious but this sweet goofball hides a deeply serious, vulnerable, and hurt soul. His brotherly love for Gabby was just want she needed, and when he accepts Chase as her person he does it a protective but not in a toxic and domineering way. Grant is this man in a powerful position who leads by example without masculine toxicity that makes me love him and so eager to learn all about him. Preston and Daddy Mike are steady and supportive men who love the woman in their group so deeply and with profound respect that has me putting them on a pedestal as an example of what men should be like.

Thank you to the author for an ARC copy of the book!
I haven't read the first book in the series but I absolutely enjoyed Stealing Her Privilege! I will be reading the first one and I'm so excited for Taylor and Grant!
I'm not going to lie, I normally don't read age gap or reverse age gap but I enjoyed this one very much! I loved the relationship between Chase and Gabby!
The 🌶️ scenes were 🤌🏼 delightful! The chemistry between the two main characters was amazing and the chemistry between all the other characters is also one of the best parts of this book! Miller is amazing, one of the best characters (dare I say, the best?) of the book!
Obviously this book talks a lot about one important topic of health related issues, breast cancer. Gabby has 2 breast cancer scares in the book, one in a flashback and one on the main storyline, both are on page so proceed with caution if that could be triggering. But I think it's very important that this is talked about, and the author describes the situation very well.
Thank you again for the ARC and the opportunity to read the book!

I knew going into this book I was going to love the MCs. In T. Leigh Turner's novella "Tryst" we get to see our MCS meet and have a one night stand and their chemistry was off the charts!

Gabby is the lawyer for the Music City Troubadours baseball team. She is a bit of a workaholic, because she's had to be as one of the few females in a male-dominated field. She is strong, independent, smart, and successful. She has a great group of friends, but the only one she truly lets in is Miller. He's one of her besties, and basically a brother to her.

Chase (The Chaser) Bennett is the new rookie that was just called up to the Troubadours. When the book starts both of them have realized that they are connected through the baseball team. Chase is known for liking to party hard, but now that he's been called up to the majors he promised to step up and be the player that the team needs. When they see each other for the first time after he joins the team Gabby tells him that they can't be anything more than friends.

Gabby knows that it would be detrimental to her career to be dating a player, not to mention one who's 10 years her Junior. But Chase is determined to be there for her, and eventually their attraction and chemistry is too much to deny. And when they finally give in, wholly fireworks Batman!! It was some of the best spice I've the ever read! The mouth on Chase had me sweating! And when Gabby said "eyes on me Bennett" I literally squealed!! So! Hot!

This book also had me laughing my butt off at the antics between the guys and the hilarious group chat. The found family is one of my favorites I've ever read, I want to be part of it! There are also moments in the book that brought me to tears (be sure to check the trigger warnings). Gabby is dealing with a health scare and Miller is the only one that knows. The relationship between Gabby and Miller was so beautiful! The way he supports her and she lets down her walls around him....I loved it so much!

As their feelings grow Gabby starts to open up to Chase as well, and seeing the way he loves her so completely absolutely melted my heart into a puddle. I also absolutely loved the way Preston and Miller welcomed him into not only the team but also their friend group. I honestly expected Miller to be the defensive big brother, but he was very supportive of their relationship from the beginning. On more than one occasion he told Chase to not give up, and was even the one to tell him about Gabby's health scare and that she needed him.

Tiffany had me on quite the emotional roller coaster, especially in the last third of the book! From start to finish I was hooked and loved every second of this book! Not only was I obsessed with Gabby and Chase's story, but Tiffany also has me feral for the rest of the books in the series!!

This book is sooo funny 🤣 But sorry, it's not because of the MCs 🙈 It's Miller, one of the main side characters. I already loved Miller in book one and obviously in the novella between both books, but he definitely topped it in this book. Try to imagine a jokester, and now make him 10 times more 🤣 But even with all his jokes and barely being straight, he was there for Gabby when she needed him the most. 100% and without even thinking about otherwise. He loves her with everything he has.
Yes, I had my idea of him and Gabby as a couple when I read book 1, but no, they are definitely so much better as "siblings" 🩷 I love his multiple nicknames he uses for everyone. My favorite for Gabby is Gabbadoodledoo 😁

Perfect, I'm almost done with my max and have said nothing about the MCs 🙈 Miller really pulls all the attention to himself... This guy...

I loved Chase, and not just because my dog's name is Chaser 😁 He is such a wonderful man. He is also very "stubborn" and persuasive. He wants Gabby, so he does everything to get her 😎

With all the funny things, this book has a heavy topic, too. It's about breast cancer. And yes, it goes through the whole book. And yes, it's Gabby who's scared about it. That's another thing, when Chase shows how wonderful he is 🥰

I waited so long for this book. No, this is not a criticism, just a matter of fact 😎 I know life doesn't always work how we want it to have and it took T. longer than she wanted herself. I'm so happy the book is finished now, and it's perfect 🩷

I'm now trying to wait patiently for book 3, and it's still not Miller's book, but I'm pretty sure it will feel like it is his 🤣

Thanks to the author for trusting me with an ARC 🩷

Stealing Her Privilege(SHP) by T. Leigh Turner is hands down her best book yet!!! SHP is the third book in the Music City Troubadours Series and although it can be read as a stand alone, it is best enjoyed in series order.

This book is absolute perfection. The banter, the spice and the found family aspect make this read one to remember. If you’ve read Tryst, you may recognize Chase/Matt and Gabby/Bree from their ONS on the island. Imagine Gabby’s surprise when she meets Chase again months later! I guess what happens on vacation doesn’t always stay on vacation!

A adored how Chase was such a sweet, calming influence for Gabby as she went through her health scare. He really came through for her. On the flip side….his dirty talk was just…whew! So, so hot. Those spicy scenes solidified for me that T. Leigh Turner has a gift for writing spice and writing it so well.

On a serious note, I really felt that the nailed the challenges that Gabby faced in the workplace. Working with mostly men, I think so many of us know exactly how she felt about needing to work twice as hard just to attempt to be taken seriously by her male counterparts.

Stealing Her Privilege had me crying, swooning and laughing….sometimes all at once. The love this group of friends has for each other is everything…I’m absolutely obsessed with this series. I can’t wait to see where the author takes us next.

Thank you to T. Leigh Turner for the honor of Beta reading Stealing Her Privilege.

Smart, funny, and smokin’ hot this is a stellar read about one-night stands who magically reappear and can’t grasp the words we’re not happening, ride or die friends and found family that can get you through anything, and knocking down walls and getting the girl, and it’s captivating, charming, and impossible to get enough of! The swoon factor is off the charts, the humor is on point, the chemistry is explosive, Chase shows you exactly why they call him the “The Chaser”, and Gabby burrows her way straight to your heart with her quiet strength, her heart of gold, and her inability to resist a certain short stop. It’s knowing what you want and doing whatever it takes to get it, always showing up, seeing that what she needs more than anything is a shelter in the storm and a soft place to land, letting someone in and allowing yourself the freedom to fall, and it’s addictive, it’s touching, it handles a health scare like a pro, keeping it real and relatable and adding a fire and an urgency to making Gabby see how much Chase loves her, and it is absolutely incredible. A fabulous addition to the Music City Troubadours series, an excellent second novel from T. Leigh Turner, and a must read that without a doubt belongs on your tbr.

✨Stealing Her Privilege is a fun blend of steamy vacation fling turned complicated workplace romance, with a baseball twist that keeps things lively.🔥The dynamic between the confident rookie player Chase and Bree, the no-nonsense lawyer trying to keep things professional, makes for sparks on every page. 💕Their banter, the push-and-pull of attraction, and the undeniable chemistry make it easy to get hooked.🫠

I really enjoyed how the Chase’s relentless pursuit wasn’t just about winning a game or a statistic — it was about proving he was serious about her, even when circumstances made it messy. 🤭Bree’s strength and independence balanced his cocky charm in a way that made the romance feel engaging.🤌🏽

🥹Though I enjoyed that Chase’s pursuit to gain her trust and love, I especially loved the kind of adoration and tenderness he showed her when she needed it the most. It warmed my heart. ❤️‍🩹The side character I enjoyed as well especially Miller in this book. I can’t wait for more to come in this series.🤌🏽

⭐️Overall it’s entertaining, fast-paced, funny, and swoon-worthy. If you’re looking for a sports romance full of heat, sass, and a hero determined to steal more than just bases, this one’s worth the read.🙌🏽

Thank you the Author T. Leigh Turner for the opportunity to read this ARC!💙

“My resolve snaps. Where’s my damn trench coat?”

I’m not crying, you are! 😭 To know she put so much of herself in this book, quite literally pulls at the heartstrings! Big Hugs and Big Love T. Leigh 🫶🏼 Stealing Her Privilege is a just Hit you in All the feels book! I was laughing out loud and crying whole ugly tears! From the found family to the 85/10 banter to the spice and the love obsessed. I fell head over heels for this friend group in Stranded on Second!
“For letting me be me. For always knowing what I need. For being my sister.” Brothers from another mothers, sisters from another misters it’s all here! Oh how I can relate to the overthinking self critical Bree! I love how Chase reads her so well even from the beginning, and always shows up! And the mirror scenes, I think every book needs one now! One of my fave Chase quotes, “I’ll do something so you know I’m thinking of you.” Thank you T. Leigh for yet another phenomenal book that I could not put down and letting me be a part of this ARC opportunity! I cannot wait for Taylor and Grants story!!! 🙌🏼

“What happens on vacation, stays on vacation.” Miller shrugs. “Well, usually.” He laughs.

This is book two of the Music City Troubadours series and follows Chase and Gabrielle. They have a one night stand on vacation and seven months later Chase becomes the rookie for the baseball team Gabrielle works for as a lawyer. Gabby goes through so much from dealing with the men at work to a breast cancer scare, her character is fierce and independent. Chase, a reforming bad boy, falls fast for Gabby and works to show her he is ready for a relationship. I loved how he was there for her and truly understood her. Together their chemistry and connection was off the charts, and the spice was hot!!! ARC Review

Thank you to the author, T. Leigh Turner, for the ARC in exchange for my honest

Gabby completely stole the spotlight in this one. I loved how layered she was strong, ambitious, and smart while still showing a vulnerability that made her so relatable. Her struggles felt real and true to womanhood, and I found myself rooting for her happiness even more because of it. Gabby is the kind of woman we don’t just read about, she’s an example of a real women.

And then there’s Chase. The rookie playboy with a bad-boy reputation who’s all charm, swagger, and determination. He completely stole my heart with the way he chased Gabby. The only thing hotter than Chase on the field is the way he chases Gabby off it.

The banter was sharp, the chemistry was off the charts, and the steam had me hooked from the first meeting in the novella tryst.

Fun, flirty, and full of heat, this love story is everything I want and more

The banter between Chase and Gabby!! I loved it!!
I am so happy that Chase didn't give up on pursuing Gabby despite her skepticism.

This was a great but also tough read! I love Tiffany and her books and this amazing found family she has created. We left off in Tryst with lots of Easter eggs about our friends!

Now we are back in Nashville and what happens on vacation, stays on vacation…..right?! Well not always.
Chase is the new starting rookie for the Troubadours and Gabby is the team lawyer. They shared one night together on the island as “Matt and Bree”. Now Chase wants more and Gabby wants to keep her distance because of “fraternization policies”.

The banter and the tension had me kicking my feet. The chemistry between them was off the charts!

TW: On page breast cancer scare. It is discussed at length so if this is a trigger, please protect your mental health. Tiffany did a fantastic job with describing the scenario and situations that come along with this type of health scare.

I could not get enough of Chase in this book! He checked all the boxes: possessive, obsessed, swoony, sweet and he brought the spice. When he gets called up for his major league debut, he has a chance meeting with the woman he hasn’t been able to get out of his head since their one night together. He wants Bree (Gabrielle) and will do whatever it takes to win her.

Gabby, she had to face so many challenges, not only in the work place but with her own life also. When she starts to let Chase in, he was such a calming presence for her.

The spice in this book is hot as all get out!

And Miller is always worth a mention. This guy is the best friend anyone can ask for. He is a goofball but he can be protective and also had this sweet vulnerability to him.

I am obsessed with Gabby and Chase!! I will probably be thinking about this book for a while.

Gabby is so headstrong and brave. I can definitely relate to feeling like you are bothering your people with things and just want to keep what’s going on in your life to yourself. I love the found family that this group has made and I just love them!

Chase is so smitten with gabby from the beginning and I am here for the golden retriever energy. He is so sweet and patient with her and I absolutely adore them together. He helps break down those walls gabby keeps up and helps her see she is so cherished and loved.

This group is one of my favorites and I absolutely cannot wait for Taylor’s book!!

I read this book as an arc reader and it was so sweet to finally read about Gabby’s and Chases relationship. I read Tryst and from their appearance and their one night stand in the book, youll instantly want to more of them. I loved Gabby as she was easy to relate to from being good at her job but also have insecurities to her overthinking to figuring it out. And Chase is someone tlu can’t help but fall in love with. The way he fell for Gabby and absolutely did what he needed to do for her, melts your hurt. You get tons of laugh, banter, heartfelt moments and the spice was just so good! Definitely recommend reading it!

This was such a fun read! This is my first book by T. Leigh Turner and definitely won't be my last. Gabrielle and Chase's one night stand turned more was a really great ride.

Reverse age gap
Team lawyer x player
Reformed playboy
One night stand

After one amazing night together, Chase and Gabby never expect to see one another again. Until he walks into her office as the teams newest rookie. Their connection and attraction is undeniable, but Gabby doesn't want to risk her job for love.

But Chase is determined and I absolutely loved him for it! Chase was the ultimate MMC, even when Gabby was making it difficult for him.

T. Leigh Turner didn’t miss with the third book in the Music City Troubadours Series! ❤️ I loved Chase and Gabrielle (Gabby)’s story so much! The rookie playboy has a penchant for “chasing” women but he certainly has met his match in Gabrielle. This reverse age-gap, spicy baseball romance brings the HEAT 🔥and the lovely, delicious, filthy mouth on Chase is chef’s kiss 🤌🏻💋 This can be a standalone, but you’d really understand some of the context better if you’ve read this series in order. Many thanks to T. Leigh Turner for allowing me the chance to review!

Thank you for the ARC.

This book had me hooked from the moment I started reading. The two main characters, Gabby and Chase, had me so invested that I couldn't put this book down. They were so perfectly matched and written that I absolutely fell in love with them. The way that the sensitivity of Gabby's health scare was dealt with was perfect, especially the fears and thoughts that came with these real-life scenarios.

This was the first book written by T. Leigh Turner, I have read, I will definitely be reading more.

Oh how I love this series!! The found family continues in book 2 with Gabby and Chase. They have an encounter in the novella during a wedding weekend and never expect to see each other again. But when they return to the real world they discover that he is the newest player on the pro baseball team where she is on the legal team. I loved how he was able to see past her workaholic nature to really see the person she tries to hide from the world. He pursues her so well and their love story was so fun. I can't wait to see what comes next with this group of great friends!!

Usually I'm a sucker for hockey romance so reading a baseball based one was a good mix up. Reverse age gap romances always suck me in so when I saw that trope in this one I knew I had to give it a read. I loved the quick banter between the two characters once they figure out they now have to work together after their one night stand. Gabby experienced some difficult times through this book, but Chase was able to step up and be there for her when she needed him which I think is what makes their relationship all that much better. Overall I would definitely recommend reading this if you have not already!!

It was a great book but it didn’t really do it for me. I felt there was no plot and it was just chaotic and too many spicy chapters that were unnecessary in my opinion. I really loved the development of the characters and the connection between them but it was just that. I would have loved more if there were more details of baseball games and their games in the book instead of the main characters doing it. The way sensitive matters were handled was good and respectful but it still felt like no sense with whatever was happening in it. As I said I felt like there was no plot.

5 freaking ⭐s

This was my first book by this author and I absolutely loved it. I am now going back to book 1 because I need to know what happens on that Island.

First two sentences of the book said by Gabby.
"I just want someone to f-k my brains out. Is that too much to ask?"

With a first lines like that how could you not want to read this book?? Now can you guess who heard her say that? Her one night stand from months ago. Chase "The Chaser" Bennett. Their one night stand can be read in Tryst (A Music City Troubadours novella).

Gabby (team lawyer) wants nothing to do with Chase (shortstop) because the team has a NO fraternization policy. Gabby has to have Chase sign some paperwork since he is going to be starting with the team that night. When he sees the paper he says:
"Well, it's a little late for that one, isn't it? We've already f---" I purse my lips unamused "fraternized." He finishes with a cocky wink.
"There was no fraternizing" Gabby says.

Gabby's internal thoughts: This is why I've never had a one-night stand before. Karma hates me and delivered him straight to my office door wrapped in a warning label.
When I get to the last page, it's blank. He signed all but one of the papers-the fraternization policy. F--king hell.

The found family in this book was amazing. The only person Gabby had trusted with her health issues was Miller. Their relationship was so beautiful to read about. Did it drive Chase crazy at first before he understood. Absolutely. It was funny watching him crash out about it. But Miller knew when it was time to call Chase and have him be there for Gabby. Just writing this brings back the tears.

I am telling you the banter is top tier with these two. I completely fell in love with Chase. He was going to chase Gabby until she let him catch her. He could not do any wrong in my eyes. Now I have to say there was times I wanted to shake Gabby and tell her to get her head out of her a@@.

What to expect:
💙 Workplace/forbidden
⚾️ Reformed playboy
💙 Reverse age gap (10yrs)
⚾️ Baseball romance
💙 Found family
⚾️ Shortstop x team lawyer
💙 Banter like no other
⚾️ Spice
💙 Breast Cancer rep/awareness

Yes, the book is a good time but it does touch on some serious topics. Please check warnings before reading. Gabby does go through a health scare which gave her extreme anxiety about the whole situation. She does have to go through doctor visits and scans. This was written just like it happens. From the color of the robes to what is playing on the tv. If you ever had to go through this same thing you will feel like you are right there.

Thank you T. Leigh Turner for the chance to read an ARC of this book. I am leaving my honest review.

I absolutely loved Stealing Her Privilege by Leigh Turner! After reading Tryst as an ARC, I was so excited to get the ARC for this one — and it did not disappoint. The chemistry between Bree and The Chaser was everything! This story actually made me fall in love with sports romances (something I didn’t expect 😍). The Nashville setting gave it the perfect vibe — fun, flirty, and full of heart. Tryst Leigh has officially become a one-click author for me! ⚾💋💖

I knew that I was going to love his book based on book 1 and 1.5 but Chase and Gabby did not disappoint! Jumping right into their story was exactly what I wanted and it felt seamless from Tryst and where their story begins. Watching Chase fit so well into her circle and bring out the side of her that lets the people around her in and care about her was incredible. Gabby represents the strong women out there who have to do it on their own for so long that they cannot fathom someone stepping in and being a shoulder for comfort through hard times and I’m so glad that there Chase was to be that man. The growth from both characters inside and outside of the stadium is one I cannot wait to see from Miller and Tay 🤭

Speaking of…. I CANNOT WAIT FOR BOOK 3 🥰

LOVE LOVE LOVE

This series just keeps getting better and better.

I absolutely adore these characters, they have such a found family bond which is one of my FAVORITE tropes.

The heat, the banter, the laugh out loud moments. This book has it ALL.

You definitely need to read this book as well as the other in the Turbadors series!

4.5/5⭐️

I had an opportunity to read this as an ARC and I LOVED it!

This book was just what I needed to get out of the reading slump I have been in! It was fast paced and had great spice 🌶️

I loved reading about Gabrielle and Chase’s love story and getting sneak peeks into their friend’s lives as well.

This is my first book by this author but I can’t wait to read more!

Wow! Thank you for letting be an ARC. This was such a fun read. I loved all the characters in this book. This book had the right amount of laughs, spicy romance, and fun all wrapped up in one. Check it out
