There were rules. We broke every one of them.

Cassius
I didn’t have the luxury of wanting things. I worked, I provided, and I carried the weight my selfish father left behind. Taking care of my family meant sacrifice, and I was desperate.
So when the offer to work for a billionaire came—with strings and secrets—I took it.
Problem is I didn’t expect him to make me want something for myself.

Harmon
I told myself it was simple. Clean. Bound by a contract with clear lines I wouldn’t cross—I’d done it before. But Zachariah made me forget all the reasons I kept my distance.
He’s too young, too tangled in a life I don’t belong in, and yet, he’s the only thing that feels real.
What began behind closed doors was never supposed to leave them.
But feelings don’t care about rules—and neither do we.

(4.5 stars) This book was so sad, but also so sweet. Cassius and Harmon had a very unconventional beginning stemming from a bit of desperation on both sides. However, they very quickly became each other’s safe space while providing one another with love and experiences that neither had before. Cammy and Chrissy added so much to this story, and I’m so glad that all three of the siblings stayed so close throughout all of their ups and downs. Harmon seamlessly merging into the family was also very heartwarming. All the wholesomeness aside, this book also had lots of spice (maybe a few spices you haven’t tried before). Overall, this book had me hooked from start to finish and I’m so happy everyone got the happy ending they deserved.

Mister Stone is the 6th book in the CEOs of Kink a multi-author series. Mister Stone is brought to us by Penny Fox. Mister Stone is a a full length, age-gap MM novel and part of the CEOs of Kink Collection. Each book in this collection can be read as a standalone.

Harmon Stone needed control in his life. His father had thought he was weak, that a lack of control was pure weakness, and most of all Harmon’s father thought that preferring men was weak. Now at 46, Harmon needs to control every aspect of his life, and the only way he allows any form of personal intimacy is through a Master/Slave contract. At least until Harmon meets Cassius.

Cassius’s life is appalling. At 22 he has 2 younger sisters who are 19 and 14. His mother is useless as she’s a bloodthirsty addict who’s always looking for her next fix who constantly neglects and despises her kids. Cassius lives in a trailer park, his sisters are in dire need of medication, but they have no insurance and Cassius has no way to get them the medication they need.

When Cassius meets Harmon the 2 men agree on a contract. Cassius is new to the lifestyle that Harmon is offering him, but he knows that he needs the money and he’s willing to do what ever he can to make the money he needs.

Harmon loves that he gets to have his control with such a beautiful man and he get to do whatever he tells him to, and Cassius finally gets to let go of all the stress and the stressors that have been ruling his life, even if its just for a few hours each day, he can let it all go and just be told what to do for a little while.

Both Cassius and Harmon know the rules, they are crystal clear, but the goalposts they first set out keep getting moved and both Cassius and Harmon keep breaking the rules they both set and both agreed to when they signed the contract.

I found this to be such a sweet and spicy age gap romance. I loved the way each man had exactly what the other needed, they each support the other in ways they never knew was possible or even believed they truly deserved. As the barriers they set in their initial contract begin to weaken and then the walls they have each built around themselves to protect their emotional well being start to crumble, you start to see a beautiful warm, loving and supportive relationship forming. You start to see one man beginning to understand what it could be like to have a family of their own, and the other starts to accept that he doesn’t have to always be the one everyone goes to all the time for all the answers and the solutions.

We do see a short and really a very mild final act break up that we see resolved very quickly. Other than that last act break up this is honestly a low angst story, and even though there’s a 24-year age gap between Cassius and Harmon, that age gap doesn’t really play much into the plot or even into the sub-plot. I will say that I found Harmon to be somewhat emotionally stunted, he’s never allowed or given himself the opportunity to have himself to have a traditional romantic relationship. On the other hand, I found Cassius to have been parentified and he was robbed of his childhood. Cassius had been forced to give up his childhood to raise his two sisters when he realized his mother wasn’t going to be a mother and raiser her kids herself. And Cassius was still a child himself.

I really did enjoy this read. The one thing that really bothered me was that one of Cassius’s sisters shut him out of her life at the end of the book and it was really out of character for her. And it really upset me that she shut Cassius out of her life like that especially when things happened that were out of Cassius’s control and he had no idea why they were even happening to begin with.

If you enjoy a great MM romance, a master x slave contract, opposites attract, and a well written story with a great plot and sub-plot then you will enjoy this book just like I did.

Mister Stone by Penny Fox is a standout addition to the CEOs of Kink collection, offering a beautifully crafted standalone story about two men from opposite walks of life finding rare, transformative peace within one another.

The character work here is exceptional. Harmon Stone, the CEO of Stone Timeworks, is fascinating. I appreciated the realistic details surrounding Stone Timeworks, like the river scene, which added an extra layer to the worldbuilding. The book explores the "lonely at the top" trope. Though Harmon was born into wealth, his upbringing was defined by isolation and abuse. His lack of control in childhood means he needs to be in control now to feel safe. Penny Fox illustrates how childhood trauma follows us into adulthood, shaping behaviors in profound ways.

Cassius carries a different kind of weight. Raised by a neglectful mother, he became a "parental child," sacrificing his youth to care for his two younger sisters, Camarra and Chrissy. Both men learn what it truly means to find peace through their Master/Slave dynamic, new to Cassius. The portrayal of this dynamic is mature, healthy, and consensual, and the transition throughout the story feels natural and genuine.

I loved that the narrative wasn’t confined to a corporate office. Taking the characters out of the boardroom allowed us to see them as real people with real-life problems. The family dynamic, especially Cassius’s sisters, added heart and raised the stakes, making his protective nature feel earned. The book’s length and pace were perfect, giving the romance room to grow organically. Harmon and Cassius’s love feels believable, allowing for faltering, growth, and eventual trust. My only minor wish was more insight into Harmon’s internal thoughts to match the depth we get from Cassius, but this is a small note in an otherwise well-rounded story.

The balance of steamy spice and plot is perfect. Harmon’s secret past, the trauma from his father’s abuse, and his careful adherence to strict rules—including NDAs and contracts—set a compelling backdrop for his relationship with Cassius. Cassius, desperate for money and caring deeply for his sisters, is thrust into a world he never imagined, and meeting Harmon changes everything. Their differences in background contrast beautifully, but they complement each other as they heal together.

Cassius introducing Harmon to his sisters was a highlight, showing Harmon experiencing the family connection he never had. Twists throughout the story kept me invested, and seeing Harmon navigate his role as CEO as an openly gay man alongside Cassius added tension and depth. Their HEA was a surprising curveball and absolutely satisfying.

Overall, Mister Stone is a gripping story with emotional depth, heartfelt romance, and a touch of closed-door spice. Penny Fox has crafted a dynamic duo in Harmon and Cassius that will stay with readers long after the last page.

This! This is exactly what I was looking for. Mister Stone by Penny Fox is a standout addition to the CEOs of Kink collection, offering a beautifully crafted standalone story about two men from opposite walks of life finding a rare, transformative peace within one another.
The character work here is exceptional. Harmon Stone, the CEO of Stone Timeworks, is a fascinating character. I particularly appreciated the some of the realistic detail surrounding Stone Timeworks. Like the river scene with the Timeworks building. For me this added an extra cared for layer to the world building. This book has the "lonley at the top" trope. While Harmon was born into wealth, his upbringing was defined by isolation and abuse. His lack of control in childhood means he needs to be in control now to feel safe. Penny Fox does an amazing job illustrating how childhood trauma doesn't just vanish it follows us into adulthood, often shaping our behaviors.
Cassius carries a different kind of weight. "Raised" by a neglectful mother, he was forced into the role of a "parental child," sacrificing his own youth to care for his two younger sisters, Camarra and Chrissy. He is a man who had to be in charge all the time, it was how they survived.
Neither of these men truly knows what it means to be at peace until they enter their Master/Slave dynamic, which is new to Cassius. I was so impressed by how this was handled it’s portrayed in a mature, healthy, and consensual way. The transition from the start of the dynamic to the end of the story was a natural real feeling. It was never forced.
I loved that the narrative wasn't confined to a corporate office like most CEO books. By taking the characters out of just the boardroom, we got to see them as real people that had a real life problems in addition to the work setting. I also enjoyed the family dynamic, Cassius’s sisters added so much heart. It raised the stakes and made his protective nature feel earned. The book’s length and pace was perfect for me. It allowed room for the characters and feelings to breathe and grow. The romance didn’t feel rushed, the love between Harmon and Cassius had the space to form, falter, and eventually become something truly believable. If I had one small wish, it would be for a bit more insight into Harmon’s day to day internal monologue to match the deep dive we got into Cassius’s perspective. However, that’s a minor note for a story that was otherwise incredibly well rounded.

The balance of steamy spice and plot is handled perfectly here. I wasn't ready to say goodbye to these characters. Penny Fox has gained a permanent fan in me, and I’ll be eagerly diving into the rest of her backlist and future books. Her writing is absolutely incredible.

I received an advance copy through Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest review.
3.8*
Really enjoyed. The story is very much grounded in Cassius’s POV. He and his sisters survive amidst poverty and parental neglect/abuse. The flip side is Harmon’s POV, who is rich, powerful, commanding, etc., but we spend comparatively less time in that mindset. Despite all of the privilege, Harmon is shown to be open-minded and an intuitive problem-solver. He wants people around him to be taken care of. Cassius signs a kink contract with Harmon, which is regularly described as not being a sex contract, but includes sex-adjacent activities. 🤷‍♂️ It’s a lot of energy to make sexy things not about sex. Anyway. Cassius gets paid and can rescue his sisters from desperate conditions, while Harmon gets a kinky “slave” (who is not a sex slave because reasons). Being Harmon’s slave is just being his sub with a more degrading title. Harmon is mostly a soft dom who gets very invested in Cassius’s wellbeing. I liked all of that, and the kink is fun. Harmon breaks all his rules about keeping emotional distance, and Cassius invests himself in making Harmon happy. Both get more out of the arrangement than they’re supposed to and I enjoyed the building tension.

Various plot elements bring the MCs together and, later, force them apart (as happens in romance books). I love how important Cassius’s sisters are to him and to the story. Caring for them, helping them, watching them thrive, all of this helps tell the story in a more authentic way. The reader is fully invested in Cassius and his family, as is Harmon. Then… there’s a late in the book surprise T.A.B. and I hated the whole thing. The timing is honestly horrifying and it’s the worst kind of betrayal for characters who grew up not able to trust others. Eventually, the truth comes out and then TIME JUMP. 🤦‍♂️ Noooo. Show me how the core characters come back together and learn to trust again. Don’t just tell me it happens, because while the characters may forgive each other, I don’t. Characters that screw up need to be on page working to fix what they broke. That’s how readers get invested in the redemption and forgiveness. I’m still having big feelings about the whole thing. 😤

To be clear, I do like where the story ends up. The bad actors get what’s coming to them and I really enjoyed the epilogue. I love that, earlier in the book, we got to peek into these dreams, and then later, we see them brought to life at the end. I left the book smiling. Cassius and his sisters deserve their happy ending. ❤️‍🔥

Mr Stone, The CEO of Stone Timeworks, has a secret. One he has kept hidden from the world since his father degraded him when he found him in the presence of another man. Convinced by his father that it would ruin the family name and the face of the company, Harmon took himself as far away from his father as he could.
When he inherited his father's company, he moved it to Chicago. No one knew him there, and there was no judgement and he was happy living his life as a loner.
His kink was M/s. Him being the dominant in the relationship, he was very strict in which partner to approach to see if their interests aligned....that was until he met Cassius. He soon found many of his rules were relaxed when it came to Cassius.
Their stories align in that they both have hidden trauma and help each other heal over time.
Cassius being the younger of the two men, has always liked men.
He was desperate for money. He lived for his two sisters Cammie and Cassie. They had a deadbeat mother and lived in a trailer park. If Diane, their mother could get money for something in the trailer she would! Hence, Cassius was desperate for money!
So when an opportunity arose that sent Cassius to a sex club, hoping to see the man in the blue tie, he nearly cried when Harmon approached him.
Strict rules and NDA's and contracts and schedules were explained to Cassius, noting that their partnership was to be strictly secret.
Both Cassius and Harmon soon became a unit. Both finding that the other settled them to feeling something close to being safe when in each others presence.
Their lives could not have been more different, and as the story line develops, Cassius and his family...his sisters specifically....take a lot of the narrative. It blended well with how the story flowed and as Cassius soon learned that he was starting to have feelings for Harmon, he decided to introduce him to his sisters. Which went much better that Cassius thought. Harmon loved being part of a family, something he never had growing up.
There are plenty of twists within the story to keep you vested and wishing that Harmon could still take his place as CEO of his company as a gay man with Cassius by his side without any repercussions.
How they reach their HEA is a curveball I did not see coming, but oh boy it was incredible.
Overall a great story with a touch of closed door spice from the dynamic duo that made up Cassius and Harmon.

This one?? Hit exactly what I was in the mood for.

If you like messy power dynamics, emotional depth, and characters who are a little broken but finding something safe in each other… this delivers.

Cassius and Harmon worked so well for me, but in very different ways.

Cassius immediately had my heart. He’s one of those characters who has carried way too much responsibility for way too long, and you can feel that in everything he does. He’s protective, self-sacrificing, and just trying to keep everything together—and I love a character like that.

Harmon, on the other hand, was really interesting to unpack. He gives off very controlled, put-together energy on the surface, but underneath that is someone shaped heavily by his past and the need to maintain control to feel safe. I really appreciated how his background influenced the dynamic and the way he approached relationships.

The power dynamic itself was done really well. It could have easily gone off the rails, but instead it felt intentional, consensual, and actually grounded in emotional need rather than just shock value. Watching that dynamic evolve between them felt natural and believable.

What stood out the most to me was how much space the story gave these characters to breathe. The relationship didn’t feel rushed. You could see the progression from guarded and transactional to something real, and that made the emotional payoff land.

I also loved that the story wasn’t just stuck in one setting. Getting to see different sides of their lives, especially Cassius’s family, added so much depth and made everything feel more real. His sisters especially added a layer of heart that I wasn’t expecting but really appreciated.

If I had one small critique, I would have loved just a bit more time inside Harmon’s head to match the depth we got from Cassius. But honestly, that’s a minor note in an otherwise really well-balanced story.

The spice and plot were balanced perfectly for me, and the emotional core of the story is what really carried it.

If you like:

age gap
billionaire x struggling MC
power dynamics with actual emotional depth
found family elements
hurt/comfort with healing arcs

…you’ll definitely want to pick this up.

I received a copy of this book for free for my honest review.

Harmon Stone needs control. His father thought him weak. Lack of control was weak. Preferring men was weak. Now he is 46 years old and needs to control every aspect of his life, and only allows personal intimacy throu Master/Slave contracts. Until Cass.

Cass’s life is awful. He is 22, has 2 younger sisters 19 and 14, his mother is a viscious addict who neglects and hates her children, he lives in a trailer park, and his sister needs medication, they have no insurance.

He meets Harmon and the 2 decide on a contract, Cass is new to the lifestyle but needs money any way he can make it. Harmon can have his control with a beautiful man to do whatever he tells him to, and Cass gets to let go of the stressors of his life for a little while each day and just be told what to do. The rules are clear, but the goalpost keeps getting moved and the rules keep getting broken.

This is a sweet and spicy age gap romance. Both med have what the other needs, support each other in ways they didn’t know were possible or can’t believe they deserve. As barriers to their initial contract start to weaken and then the barriers to their emotional walls crumble, a warm, loving, and supportive relationship forms. One man begins to understand what having a family can be like, the other accepting that he doesn’t have to be the one with all the answers and solutions all the time.

There is a short and mild last act break up that is resolved quickly and together. Other than that is it a relatively low angst story and their ages don’t play much into the plot. I’d say that Harmon is a little emotionally stunted since he never let himself have a traditional romantic relationship, and Cass was never allowed to be a child, raising his siblings from the moment he was aware his mother wouldn’t. A child himself.

I enjoyed this read very much. If anything bothered me it is that there is an out of character reaction from one of the sisters at the end of the book and it angered me that she shut Cass out when things were out of Cass’s control and he didn’t even know why they were happening.
This isn’t important to the story, but just felt out of character.

Mr. Stone
By: Penny Fox

Boys just wanna have fun!

Oh boy these men and the kinks they fantasize about. But these two are so opposite it just ends up working. We get age gaps, master vs slave and so much more. The author adds debth in the men and it makes it worth the read. I'm honored to have been introduced to this amazing authors books. The one thing about this book I enjoyed was it keeps you wondering what’s next. This story has amazing friends that are great additions to the books overall story that have strong supporting rolls, however it still centers around the main couple per book.

We get taken on an odds are against them story in the newest book in the series.

Authors blurb: There were rules. We broke every one of them.

Cassius
I don’t have the luxury of wanting things. I work. I provide. I hold my family together while my mother tears us apart. Desperation doesn’t leave room for pride.
So when a billionaire offers me a way out I say yes.
I tell myself it’s temporary.
I don’t expect to want him.
And I definitely don’t expect to feel like I’m worth keeping.

Harmon
I build my life on order. Contracts. Control. I don’t blur lines, and I don’t let people close—especially not someone who needs me the way Cassius does.

He’s messy. Honest. Tied to a world full of responsibility and love I’ve never allowed myself to want.

What starts as an arrangement becomes something dangerous. Real.
And when my past threatens everything I’ve built, I do the one thing I swore I never would...I run. But silence has consequences. And love doesn’t disappear just because you’re afraid of it.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know you’re 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy.

Mister Stone’s story is multi layered and includes romantic and sweet gestures, heartbreaking scenes and conversations, heartwarming moments between characters and hooot and kinky smutty chapters. I liked and adored the 2 main characters - Cassius and Harmon and the side characters - Cammy and Chrissy (Cassius’s younger sisters). Cassius is so responsible, resilient, resourceful and protective of his sisters. Cassius goes to great lengths to ensure the safety and well-being of his sisters. Harmon is the billionaire CEO of Stone Timeworks (a watch company). He is reserved, extremely private, craves control through every aspect of his life, respectful and very caring. Cassius and Harmon’s life collide with each other during their respective desperate times. They both try to maintain emotional distance in their contractual relationship but as they slowly get to know each other, it becomes harder for them to stay away from one another. Harmon finds peace, emotional and mental safety, and companionship with Cassius. For the first time in his life Harmon has someone who understands him, cares for him and loves him unconditionally. Cassius on the other hand can let go of the control with Harmon which helps him to relax for the first time in his life. Harmon takes great care of him, is protective of Cassius and his sisters and Harmon too loves Cassius unconditionally. As with every couple, Cassius and Harmon too have their ups and downs but in the end they get their HEA that they both absolutely deserve. If you are looking for a MM romance book with amazing story and equally interesting characters add this book to your TBR list.

This was a surprisingly emotional and engaging read that blends a power dynamic setup with a lot of heart. At first, the relationship between Harmon and Cass feels very structured and transactional, built on clear rules and expectations. Harmon is someone who relies heavily on control, shaped by his past and the way he was raised, while Cass is simply trying to survive and take care of his family in a difficult situation.

What I liked most was how their connection slowly shifts. What begins as an arrangement starts to feel more personal as they spend time together. Cass brings a sense of warmth and honesty that begins to break through Harmon’s rigid walls, while Harmon offers stability and support in ways Cass has never really experienced. Watching them meet in the middle and grow into something more genuine was one of the strongest parts of the story.

Cass as a character really stood out. He has been forced to grow up too quickly, carrying responsibilities that should never have been his, and it makes his vulnerability hit harder. His relationship with his sisters added another layer to the story and made his motivations feel real. Harmon, on the other hand, is more reserved and emotionally guarded, but seeing him slowly learn to let go of control and allow himself to care was satisfying.

The story stays fairly low in drama overall, with most of the conflict coming from their emotional barriers rather than outside events. There were a few moments that felt slightly off, particularly toward the end, but they did not take away too much from the overall experience.

Overall, this was a heartfelt and character driven romance that explores trust, healing, and learning to rely on someone else. It balances heavier themes with softer moments, making it both emotional and enjoyable to read.

Two men from different worlds

This is what I expect from a series called CEOs of Kink. Penny brings two men from vastly different backgrounds together in a beautiful story filled with kinks, connection and found family.

Harmon Stone of Stone Timeworks was a fascinating character. Between his kinks, his need for control, and his unexpected journey to finding the life he never thought possible. Harmon doesn't do relationships he only does contracted master/slave situations that do not involve intercourse. Harmon has a huge cum fetish and I will never think of pancakes the same again.

Cassius and his siblings grew up caring for themselves. At a very young age he was forced to switch from child to parent for his younger siblings. So when his mother lets their insurance lapse Cassius and Camarra know they need to find a way to afford their youngest sister's seizure medicine. Unfortunately it is very expensive and they also need to keep the roof over their head.

Enter a unique opportunity to make more money then they ever dreamed of having. While Slave wasn't something he expected he found a peace in it. An opportunity to help his family while also having time to decompress and give someone else the reigns.

I really loved that there was an instant spark but the relationship still progressed through the story and it felt like a natural progression. Love snuck up on them and it was absolutely beautiful to watch.

I adore the sisters and that they were so present in the story because it was necessary to show Cassius's reason for everything. I adore the way the girls easily accepted Harmon even though he wasn't from their world. They realized he was the reason they were okay now.

I love that the underlying issues within the company played with Harmon's insecurities. They didn't overshadow the relationship but actually worked with it.

Mister Stone is exactly the kind of book that makes objectivity pack its bags and quietly leave the room. Because yes—full disclosure—Penny Fox could pen the back label of a shampoo bottle and I would likely call it “emotionally resonant.” And yet, biased or not, this story earns every bit of its praise.

This time, Fox delivers an MM romance that is as bold as it is tender—open-door, unapologetically steamy, and yet disarmingly soft at its core. Cassius and Harmon don’t just work together—they fit in that rare, almost suspiciously perfect way that makes you believe the universe occasionally gets things right.

Beneath the heat (and there is heat, make no mistake), Mister Stone carries a surprising emotional weight. It’s a story steeped in the quiet damage of prejudice and the complicated legacies of broken families. From the rejection of a gay son to the cruel stigma placed on a young girl for her medical condition, from parental failures that sting a little too realistically to the heavy, shaping burden of being “the responsible one”—Fox navigates it all with a steady hand and genuine respect.

What stands out most is the balance. The romance never overshadows the story, and the story never dampens the chemistry. It’s a careful, deliberate dance between passion and purpose, and it works beautifully.

And when you reach the end—because you will, likely faster than intended—it doesn’t feel like a conclusion so much as a reluctant goodbye. The kind where you linger a moment longer, not quite ready to let go. The happily-ever-after is not just satisfying; it feels earned, which, frankly, is rarer than it should be.

A final note, elegantly but firmly: do pay attention to the trigger warnings. This story knows exactly where it treads—and it does so with intention.

Sharp, steamy, and unexpectedly heartfelt, Mister Stone is proof that sometimes the most intense love stories are the ones that handle their fire with care.

Harmon has done this before. He's paid men to keep him company, to be his slave but this time there is something very different about the dynamic. It's still all behind closed doors, contacts have been signed, secrets are being kept but Harmon knows, knows there is something about Cassius he wasn't expecting.

Cassius didn't really have expectations. He needs the money to escape his mother, the trailer they live in, the trailer park and be able to take his sisters with him. He signs the contract, he does what is expected of him but he is young, curious, asks questions, reveals things about himself and sees the arrangement slowly changing.

Beyond what Harmon and Cassius share, which is the principal plot of the story, there are subplots the most important one of which is the possibility that someone has leaked designs to a rival company for a watch designed by Harmon's team. As this plot line develops the two lives Harmon has created for himself - the person and the professional - begin to blur and those who have no heart, who choose to judge rather than understand, they are the ones who appear, who want blood. And very likely money.

This novel is deep, we fall into the characters, their lives, we learn everything about them, past, present, future but above all we are drawn into the intricate world that is love, desire and passion as Penny Fox subtlety takes us on a journey of discovery. As a reader you may learn things about yourself, about the way others live, the way others love but I feel that above all else I have come away from this novel with a deep sense of satisfaction, with the realisation that love truly is so many things and is, at its heart, pure and beautiful for those who have found the way they want to share it.

Mister Stone - Penny Fox
4.5/5✨🌟

* SPOILERS *

I am usually not a fan of the whole master/slave vibe but the way that Cassius and Harmon came together, I just knew that this was going to capture my heart in the same way. I haven’t read many books by Penny but I’ve read a few books in the escort service, which I’ve absolutely loved.

All that Cassius wants is to provide a better life for him and his sisters because apparently his mother just cannot. She just expected him to do certain things. I lost total respect for this woman when she made an offer to her son about his sister. I was completely appalled by her. Also, it didn’t surprise me at all whatsoever.

Then, there is Harmon who has kept his own secret for years. He meets Harmon and they go over the rules of the contract. The funny thing is that these two can’t even follow these rules no matter what.

I really love how Cassius and his sisters welcome Harmon with open arms. I also love how they bond over Supernatural. Definitely one of my favorite shows of all time. I loved how they stated how the show had a character named Cas and said he might be important.

What I absolutely loved about Harmon is he easily spoiled Cassius and his sisters because he just wanted to. It was so hard to trust for both guys because of the life they have both lived.

This book will have you go through so many emotions and it’s worth it. I was gripping my kindle towards the end because things do go down. I highly recommend to read the trigger warnings because it does have some deep matters in this book. I love a book that surprises you; especially when you think certain things happen when it really does a flip switch on you.

Absolutely outstanding read.

I received this book as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review. Mister Stone is part of the CEOs of Kink collection, which features standalone stories.
Cassius and Harmon are the two main characters, and I absolutely loved both of them. Cassius, in particular, was such a strong and layered character. He was dealt a tough hand growing up, being forced into a parental role due to having a neglectful mother and caring for his two sisters. Despite that, he didn’t let his past define him or keep him stuck. While he had moments of hesitation and struggled with trust, when he allowed himself to open up, it truly paid off.
I really appreciated getting to see the characters outside of their work environment and interacting in everyday life. Cassius’s relationship with his sisters was especially endearing, even when those dynamics weren’t always positive. It added depth and realism to his character.
As an age-gap MM romance, Harmon Stone—CEO of Stone Timeworks—starts off unsure of what he wants or what’s missing in his life until Cassius enters it. Their connection felt genuine and well-developed. There were a few moments that seemed to skip ahead that I wish had been shown more on page, but overall, the pacing still worked.
The story touches on some heavier topics, but they were handled with balance and didn’t overwhelm the narrative. The writing was strong, the characters were well-developed, and I felt fully connected to them as a reader. The balance between spice and plot was just right.
These two quickly became some of my favorite characters together. I’ve read other works by Penny Fox, and she did not disappoint. This book delivered exactly what I’ve come to expect from her, and I’ll definitely continue to seek out her future projects.

This book is so much more than its spicy Tropes.
Honestly when I read the blurb of the book, I was confused and wasnt sure how much I would like the book. Then add the Tropes, Im thinking damn this book is just going to spicy ontop of spice. But I risked it because, I like Penny Fox books.
Oh I was so wrong thinking it was just spicy. No it was so much more! I got invested. The outside world didnt matter until I finished the book.
Take a risk and read it, it is so damn worth it!

Cassius will do anything to take care of his sister's. They deserve their dreams to happen. He was been taking care of his sister's as long they have been born. When the medical insurance didn't come through for necessary medicine. He had to find a way to make enough money to get the medication before they run out.
Harmon has been looking for months almost years to find someone that will satisfies his cravings. No one lasts to the second meeting. When he sees this young man sitting at the club. He takes a risk and hands him is business card. Told him to call him if he is interested in more..
Control was supposed to make it Simple.

Review for (CEO of Kink) Mister Stone by Penny Fox

I really enjoyed this story by Penny Fox. They are a newer author for me, so I'm so excited that I have found them. These days, as most of us can say, a lot of the books we read are close to the last one we read. I love it when a story shows you new things, exciting things. This book gave me some of these, which I appreciate so much. This story shows Cassius as a workaholic who does nothing but work. He was thrown into this to pay for things his selfish father left behind. It's his place now to take care of his family; it's a lot to take on, but he will succeed. He just wanted to make enough to take care of them and himself. So when he is offered a job with Zachariah, a very wealthy man, it changes his life, but he isn't sure if it is a good thing. Cassius found out that working for this man comes with secrets. Will these secrets become too much? Or will he be shown who he really is and what he deserves out of life instead of just living each day? I loved the kink part of this story. I have lived the BDSM lifestyle for years, so having kinks thrown into stories makes it more real and good. Thank you, Penny Fox, for the chance to have read this book. I'm so happy I found you.

This turned out to be a much more emotional read than I was expecting. While it starts with a fairly familiar setup—an arrangement built on rules, control, and clear boundaries—it quickly becomes something more character-driven and introspective.

Cassius is an especially compelling protagonist. His sense of responsibility and the pressure he’s under come through strongly, and it adds weight to every decision he makes. There’s a quiet resilience to him that makes it easy to stay invested in his journey. His family situation also adds a nice layer of depth, grounding the story in something tangible and personal.

Harmon, in contrast, is far more controlled and emotionally distant at the start. What I found most interesting was how gradually that begins to shift. The dynamic between them evolves in a way that feels earned, as small moments chip away at the walls Harmon has built around himself.

The romance leans more on emotional development than high drama, which worked well here. The tension comes from their internal struggles rather than external conflict, and it gives the story a softer, more reflective tone despite the premise.

ARC Review

From the first page of Mister Stone, Penny Fox hooked me and didn’t let go. This is a dark, pulse quickening romance about desperate choices, impossible attraction, and the rules two men break for the chance at something real. Cassius’s quiet, crushing responsibility and Harmon’s controlled, contractual distance are both heartbreakingly believable, and the way their walls slowly come down is devastating and electric.

What I loved most: the moral complexity. Neither character is perfect, both are shaped by sacrifice, secrecy, and survival. Which makes their chemistry feel earned and urgent. Fox balances heat with heart; the scenes behind closed doors are intense and well-rendered, but it’s the small, tender moments and the fallout of decisions made that lingered with me after I finished. The writing is taut and intimate, and the stakes never feel cheap. Secondary characters are sharp and meaningful, and the plot continually surprised me without losing emotional truth.

If you like romances that are morally messy, emotionally raw, and unflinchingly sexy, Mister Stone is a must-read. I couldn’t put it down and I’m already thinking about a re-read.

RULES ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN!

The CEOs of Kink, the filthy rich and powerful bosses who each have a particular taste, a specific obsession that will be explored in each standalone book. 12 Authors, 11 books and a world of kinky possibilities.

Meet Mister Stone, CEO of Stone Timeworks, billionaire and has kink for Master/Slave, loves having rules and contracts for his own protection but what happens when the rules are broken. The dynamics between Master (Harmon Stone) and Slave (Cassius Clark) is tangible and unexpectedly heart warming. This addition to CEOs of Kink shared world from Penny Fox was not what I have come to expect and that is a fantastic thing. I loved the intricacies of the kink and the way it was explored between the characters. With the mix of real life expectations while performing their respective roles in the relationship, this story was engaging and easy to become lost in. The underlying threat to all involved from various side characters was interwoven into the story, allowing for a whole life story. Wonderful writing, excellent character development and world building in an already established scene.

I had never read this author before but the blurb pulled me in and this author delivered on their promise. This is a wonderful story about kink, finding yourself and finding love. Cassius and Harmon are just about as opposite as opposites can be. A super CEO in Chicago part of the who's who of society but he has a darker desire that even in some circles is a step too far. He never found someone to fulfill his every need for very long until Cassius. And it's not that Cassius perfectly fits the role out of the gate but his willingness and natural disposition spoke to Harmon on some deeper level which allowed him on some level to loose his reins at almost every turn. This story is not all sunshine and rainbows, rather both characters require growth and understanding. As their relationship grows, Harmon realizes what a family can truly be and Cassius learns how to be truly and deeply cared for without strings.

I couldn’t put this book down—Penny Fox has a talent for pulling readers in and holding their attention from the very first page. Mr. Stone follows Cassius as he accepts a job working for Harmon Stone, offering a glimpse into Harmon’s highly controlled and unconventional lifestyle. I wasn’t sure at first how I’d feel about Harmon, but he’s written with surprising depth and vulnerability, and the story eases you in while steadily turning up the intensity.

As their arrangement deepens, so does their connection. The boundaries they set begin to fall away, replaced by trust, tenderness, and unexpected vulnerability. Cass finds stability and care, while Harmon learns that needing someone isn’t weakness. Blending wonderful heat with genuine emotion, this story delivers a touching romance about breaking down walls and building something that feels like family. I truly enjoyed every minute of it.

I really enjoyed this book. It follows two men with a significant age gap that enter into a kink dynamic for pay but develop feelings along the way. It was well-written and well-paced. The characters had depth and enough room for character development and I really enjoyed the side characters as well. The kinky scenes were not super intense but hot and joyful and I was a little sad that this side of the relationship was more or less ignored as soon the feelings were acknowledged. I would have liked seeing them incorporate it in their lives towards the end of the book. That ending also came quite abruptly. There are some issues that lead to the characters not seeing each other for a good chunk of the book towards the ending and then they do get together again and..boom...the book is over, only the epilogue left. That came too soon for my taste but maybe I'm just greedy and wanted to read more about these two.

This is an interesting take on BDSM M/s, slave in this instance relationship. Because of absentee mother Cassius is caring for his sisters, with one having epilepsy. He is constantly trying to pick up work to pay for all of their bills including his sister’s healthcare, and loans from loan sharks. A friend gives a nudge to check out a gentleman that requires and arrayment that pays well. Harmon is a wealthy man in his forties looking for a Master/slave relationship built on contracts to keep feelings out of the equation. I really enjoyed the first part of the book. The establishing the rules of their arrangement. I wasn’t really fond of the issues that Cassius was facing. I felt like I spent a lot of time with his family. It caused me to lose interest. The Master/Slave dynamic isn’t a preferred BDSM roles. In my opinion D/s has more nuances. When to book was focused on the growth of Cassius and Harmon’s relationship is kept my attention. Overall, this was an okay read for me. I am

4⭐️ 3🌶

This story sucked me so quickly and kept me intrigued the whole time. I really like Pennys style of writing and this didnt disappoint. I wasnt sure what to expect this was my first read of this type of dynamic. I thoroughly enjoyed this. I didn't expect to get such deep characters and storyline.

Harmon and Cassius are deep complex characters. They are both broken men and somehow mange to break all the rules with one another and find safety and comfort with eachother. its not a guick journey. this takes place over many many months but their relationship unfolds realistically. I loved the bond they built. I also absolutely loved the characters and the growth between them.

Cassius' sisters also play a big part in this book and i adored Harmons relationship with the girls and vise versa. This was a beautiful emotional journey.

Just shows that sometimes I have to read out of my normal comfert zone becausei loved this. I didn't know this was part of a multi author kink series so ill be going back.

Thank you to Penny Fox and GRR for this ARC. These are my honest opinions and feelings.

Mister Stone

We have another book in the CEO of Kinks world. I am living for these books. The guys and their kinks and fantasies all played out is living my dream. While I may not do everything in these books in real life, I will read them and imagine myself right there in the characters spot.

Mister Stone is the next installment and it is hot. We have age gap, contracts, master/slave dynamic, and billionaire/non billionaire. Cassius and Harmon are two completely different individuals from two completely different backgrounds. But they always say opposites attract. When theses two meet at the club for the first it was instant and explosive. The chemistry leaps off the page and the spice is hot enough for 3rd degree burns.

I am so excited to see who is next in this world and what fantasies they bring to life.

It turns out that Mr. Stone is just the person Cassius and his siblings needed. And Cassius is just the person that Mr. Stone needed as well. Cassius and Harmon, aka Mr. Stone, both come out of different but equally difficult circumstances where trust and connection is not there. They find that with one another and through some interesting situations and obstacles they fight their way through to creating family for one another and Cassius' two sisters. Yes, their dynamic was kinky, but it was also truly consensual and they find a rhythm that works for them both in a respectful way in the bedroom. They also work together. Their relationship is allowed to grow and have growing pains which means that by the time they get to their HEA it was believable and earned.

When a life of order isn’t enough anymore

I felt for both of the main characters in this book and the story of them learning to live with each other is great. Cassius is poor with two sisters to look after and Harmon who has money seems to be the answer to Cassius’ problems. Real life is always more complicated than that and I liked what Penny Fox has done with this trope. I really like that both characters are portrayed as strong in their own ways and not the typical rich character saves poor character. The use of kink and rules is used by Harmon as a way to separate himself from his desires and the reason why he does this is sad but typical. There is a lot to this story especially about the importance of family, whether birth or found family. I really enjoyed reading this book and I can’t wait to see what the other authors in this series do with these tropes.

This book is part of the CEOs of KInk series. There are a total of 11 books in this series. I have read 5 books and loved each and every one. These books are amazing as are the authors that wrote them. I plan to read every single book in this series!
I loved this story and the MMCs (at least one of them). I loved Cassius so much. The love that he had for his family is what drew me to him. He has so much responsibility on his shoulders and I know his pain. I have dealt with the issues he has dealt with, even to this day. I have to say I was not too crazy about Harmon. He rubbed me the wrong way at first. Eventually he grew on me but Cassius will always be my favorite!
Thank you, Penny Fox, for this stimulating slow burn read. It was intense and an experience to read. I hope to read more of your books in the future.
