Oh I do so love a "good guy" hero and Rob McConnell of author Sami Lee's Giving Off Sparks is truly one of the good guys. In the first book of this series Rob did a really nice thing for one of his fellow firefighters and the woman he wanted not that he didn't enjoy his part in it, but it was still a nice thing for him to do. Once again Rob is playing the good guy as he busts into his neighbors house to extinguish a fire only to find a woman that he doesn't know and a woman that knocks him off his feet.
Sierra Lawson was caught totally off guard when a she catches a half dressed man in her friend's home putting out a fire but she'd have to be dead to not notice his Greek god appearance or the way her hormones stand up and do a happy dance.
I loved the way these two wanted each other from the start and even when Sierra tried to put on the breaks because of her refusal to be with men with dangerous jobs she just couldn't stay away from Rob. Rob was really invested from the start with Sierra even going so far as to become a believer of love at first sight. The unabashed way these two enjoyed each other was refreshing yet oh so very hot. There was just something in the way they were together that seemed so very right despite their struggles.
From the first word until the last I was completely caught up in this sexy and entertaining story. Sometimes the good guy DOES finish first, okay well maybe not because Rob was really intent on making sure Sierra always did! Another fun and flirty story from author Sami Lee you don't want to miss!

We met fun-loving, flirtatious firefighter Rob in Burning Up but now in Giving Off Sparks, we get to see a more romantic side of him which had me swooning. The moment Rob and Sierra met, there were some serious sparks going off between them and I couldn't wait to see where things were headed. Sierra didn't want to fall in love with him because she didn't want to risk her heart again with a guy who had a dangerous job, but Rob melted past her defenses. I liked that these two just seemed to enjoy being together and doing normal, every day stuff when couples date which included some pretty hot sex. I also enjoy watching them struggle with their feelings when their relationship suffered a setback due to Sierra's fear. Another sexy story by this author and I am really looking forward to the next book in this series.

We first meet Rob in Burning Up. I'm always sad when a story starts with a threesome and someone winds up left out in the end so I was happy to see Rob get his woman. In Burning Up Rob came across as fairly naive, but in Giving Off Sparks he is a changed man. He knows what he wants and goes straight after it. Once Rob sees Sierra that's the end of it, he has to have her. After Sierra lost her fiance she is too scared to really let herself love again. She has a hard time fighting her attraction to Rob. She decides to let go and be with him, but only allows herself to be with him for short time. This was a short and sweet story-plenty of heat too though! I really enjoyed seeing Rob get a happy ending (in more ways than one!). I hope Sami plans on writing more in this series.

It's hot in here!
There's no shortage of heat in Giving off Sparks. Rob saves the night and rescues Sierra form a house fire. From this first meeting, the pair definitely threw off sparks. You could feel a connection between the pair immediately.
Despite only knowing each other for a few hours Rob knew she was the one. Sierra took a little longer to come around but finally found her way back to Rob.

Yes, yes, yes! I love this story!
There are some wonderful emotions on both sides in this book. He falls hard and fast. She is scared of falling at all. The best thing to do is have some casual smoking hot sex and figure it out. Great story line and character dialog.
Sami Lee does a brilliant job with this love story.
