This collection of stories seem to be a rip off of the James Patterson Women's Murder Club series. In these books three women, one lawyer, one reporter and one FBI agent are involved in solving crimes usually involving murder. The books are not written very well, not as interesting as the James Patterson books which seem to have become very proforma, the same plot over and over again, but the bad guys names are changed. This collection follows the same blueprint. I really don't know why I plowed though all of them, I guess I don't like to be a quitter and hoped the plot would get better as it developed.

I will comment on each of the four books, one at a time.

Face of Betrayal: I felt the ending was kind of out of place but liked that there was a twist. It is a good story. I would rate this book at a 4.

Hand of Fate: Well, two things. I liked the first series I read more (Mia Quinn) but I still really like this one and second, I think in an ideal world I would wait more time between books. I felt a little like there were a lot of similarities between books in this series so far. However, I am going to forge ahead with book 3. I would still rate this 4 stars.

Heart of Ice: This book is my least favorite book so far. Too many psychopaths for one book. I also did not like that Elizabeth/Sissy seemed to be the main "narrator" of the story. So creepy. I also did not like that there was no real mystery--I was just waiting for the characters to figure things out. I scan-read to get through it faster. So I would rate this 2.5--scan-reading is an automatic 2 and I am throwing in the .5 for extra measure.

Eyes of Justice: Wow, did I ever not expect this! I stayed up way into the night/morning to finish this. This was sad and sobering. I would rate this 3.5.

These average to 3.5 for the series.

Amazing author, quickly becoming one of my favorites. I miss JAJance (as I'm not a fan of her latest character) and Lis Wiehl has picked up the mantle. I'm going to devore all her books as they all seem to be wonderfully written. I love 'em!
