Now revenge’s blood beats Haulcon’s heart and he will stop at nothing to see those who attempted his murder pay. Resolving the issue of his saving grace, Adair, is a distraction he can’t risk. Adair Ellis is a wildlife photographer, an explorer of sorts. However, the day she meets Haulcon, her life becomes more of an adventure than she can handle. Everything changes for her when she is drawn into a world so dark and dangerous it seems to rob her of her very being. But, she can’t turn back and she can’t flee the valf that she has become bound to for life.

This was just an okay read for me. I felt like how most of reader felt the ending was rushed and I feel like it should have been longer. But otherwise it was good read.

A Nice read

Valf's are interesting creatures that I wanted to learn more about. I wish this author has done more with this series. It is a good read, a bit of a fast build up but worth the read.

This is a no sugar coating review

Good story, would of been better if it had been longer. The ending seemed rushed which was a downer, however I have a new name to add to my vocabulary, Valf - which is what the hero is, he is half vampire and half werewolf.

The heroine is just plain human, well not exactly 100% but whatever it is she has in her blood goes back donkeys years.

The heroine stumbles across the hero in the forest/park, he has been tied up and left to die by others in his Valf (oohh that just sounds so sexy) clan who aren't happy about him being alpha.

They spend time together and end up doing the dirty, they go their separate ways, Haulcon to get his revenge and beat the crap out of who ever left him for dead and Adair back to her life of being a wildlife photographer.

It doesn't end there though, Haulcon has to deal with valf's going missing and found dead and at the same time missing Adair, little does he know that their naughty deed left something in the oven.

Giving it 4 stars because it felt rushed at the end.

Where was the editor for this thing? Was there one? Agreement errors. Just plain errors when it should have been she not he or vice versa. "Valf" 1/2 vampire and 1/2 werewolf, and all I can think of every time I read the word is "Alf" that orange alien from the same named 1980's sitcom. Needless to say that did not help this book for me.

You can only suspend your disbelief for so long and I lost it in the first chapter.

This manuscript was more than rushed when it was written; it was slapped together.

I hate giving a bad review, but the truth is the truth. I just wonder how this author is considered a "USA Today Bestselling author."

3.5 STARS! I took off a bit because there was some inconsistency and I became confused in parts having to turn back to remind myself of things that had been clearly stated but were now being changed. Also, at the end there was a part of the happy ending that just didn't work. Overall I really enjoyed the story. The h/h Haulcon and Adair were compelling,I liked them a lot.

This was an interesting book. Quite different these Valf's were. I rather enjoyed it. The characters were strong and well written. There were some parts of the plot that had me turning back to figure it out. But all in all, this was really an interesting story! I enjoyed the mix of paranormal. The steam was hot and explosive. If you like Paranormals, this is certainly one to add to your TBR.

Horrible Ending

If the ending would have been better, I would have given it 5 stars. This is a great author, but I always feel cheated when I get to the end of her books. The ending of this book was particularly horrible. It just ended suddenly. Another couple of pages wouldn't have hurt.

Loved it!

I brought this today and read the whole thing in one setting. I loved the connection between Adair and Haulcon also. However, I do wish that there had been an epilogue to see the continued repair of Adair's connection with her father. Anywho, great read!

DNF. Something about this book did not click for me. I think it was the diction and/or writing style. It was also kind of simplistic in a grating way.
