A Gun for Braggs' Woman

Rate this book
1886. Sapinero is a dead, cold whistle-stop in the mountains of the Cimarron. No-one ever goes there, except horse-thieves, rustlers and minor crooks. It is no place for a young lady, but Casey LeClair finds herself stuck in the town. Original publication date has to be 20-plus years earlier at least.

I was looking for a different book by Steve Frazee and came upon this one. Excellent and original western. "First Published" date has got to be wrong. Date read is a guess. I see that a Goodreads stalwart has added a cover image - excellent!

Frazee made the unlikable characters interesting, and the main character was drawn with distinction.
