A-Z the Universe in Me
Children have so much untapped potential, and it is a joy to see it unfold! When they have higher self-esteem and self-confidence, it empowers them; affirmations are just a great way to achieve that.
A-Z, the Universe in Me is a collection of short poems, affirmations composed especially for children to hear and enjoy, to sing and repeat.
Written in an easy-to-recite style and drawing parallels from nature, the simple poems focus on the fact that all qualities from A-Z in the universe are present in every child.
The poems should be read out aloud enthusiastically to kids by parents, grandparents, or teachers.
Affirmations can be powerful when the words "I am" are emphasized. Encourage your children to use them often, e.g., "I am kind," or "I am grateful."
Affirmations work best when emotionalized and repeated daily. Singing and reciting the poems are fun ways to evoke emotion, which is very important to make affirmations effective.
Children learn by observation and imitation; parents are powerful role models who can influence children if they habitually indulge in positive self-talk themselves. This children’s book, “A-Z The Universe In Me” by Michal Y. Noah, Ph.D., is an exceptionally good and brilliantly colored tool for teaching young children the alphabet. Its real value, though, is as a confidence booster for children well into the elementary school grades. Each page presents a poem, the title or focus of which builds on the sequential letters of the alphabet, from A to Z. The poems, however, are NOT trite little contrived rhymes to entertain a child, or put her to sleep, but rather are affirmations of every child’s worth and potential.
The text is overlaid on incredibly brilliant colored graphics depicting various animals of the land, sea and air. The content of each poem is meticulously crafted to help children understand and accept their own potential, while boosting their self-confidence.
This book is as far removed from an “average” children’s book, as the East is from the West, if I may borrow a phrase from the Bible. The artwork is literally amazing, and that alone will fascinate a child for hours on end. The colors are more vivid than I would have thought possible. All the caricatures of the various animals have big, contagious smiles on their faces, and are obviously happy, loving, confident creatures; this attitude is certain to be passed on to the child.
Of all the many children’s books I’ve read over the years, I believe this may be the best in every conceivable category. I have no doubt your child will feel the same way about “A-Z The Universe In Me”, and I have no doubt this will quickly become your child’s favorite choice for a bedtime story. My grandson will be getting a copy from me as soon as it is available for purchase. I absolutely give this my highest recommendation.

I love this book. Mom and I would read a page every day. It makes me feel good. I love reading this book again and again.

We LOVE this book! My daughter and I read this together over and over. I love the positive affirmations in this book. Very uplifting and a great addition to the book shelf.
