Kabrina Kenneth had no complaints when it came to her life. She had the career of her dreams and the man to go with it which was something she deeply coveted coming from her particular background. But when her dream life turns into a nightmare literally overnight, Kabrina's anger and hurt causes her to make a huge mistake. Feeling like she can't catch a break and is doomed to pay for the sins of her mother, Kabrina does whatever she can to hopefully rectify what that one night of betrayal, anger, and sadness has caused. But because that mishap is better known as Unique Compton, she realizes it will be harder to fix.

Unique Compton, the handsome, charming, and flirtatious up and coming actor has always lived life on his own terms. Equipped with two girlfriends, a role on a popular show, and an aura that makes most women become putty in his hands, Unique feels like his life is set. But underneath the sexy smile, pretty eyes, and light hearted demeanor he must constantly deal with his beefing significant others as well as a work situation he wants to take to the grave. To make matters worse, the pretty girl who makes his heart beat a little faster named Kabrina, has entered his life in a way he never imagined, making things, namely his love life, all the more difficult. And even more so when she connects him to a person he had long ago tried to forget.

In this romance filled with secrets, jealousy, and unexpected love, you will experience what happens to a man so hellbent on avoiding true love, that he ends up falling head first right into its trap.

not Unique being in my top 3🥹

4.5⭐️I was not expecting to love Unique as much as I did but I think it was because of how attentive and caring he was towards Kabrina. He was also a good communicator; he didn’t hold any secrets from Kabrina, and when he realized he wanted more than friendship he didn’t waste time getting rid of his extra baggage. This story was so easy to get lost in - the opening chapter when Kabrina’s life turned upside down, I was seated and ready to see how things would turn out. One trope I love is a drunken marriage in Vegas and Shvonne executed it well. The drama, the evolution of love, and the updates on the rest of the family was just right. I can’t wait for Banks :)

4.5⭐️

I LOVE Unique!!! With him being vulnerable, a great communicator ( his communication was *chefs kiss*) smart, funny makes him my 2nd fave out of this series. I love his and Kabrina’s relationship from the accidental marriage until the end. Mentioning of the end, we didn’t need that bonus chapter regarding Daisy and her doozy self.
I feel like someone needs to draw up a family tree with all these men having babies left and right it was hard to keep up LOL. Anyways I enjoyed the read. 4.5/5⭐️

I related so much to this: “I try to see shit from another person’s perspective or put myself in their shoes unless the shit is just dumb.”

Now let’s see what Banks about to get into. Had Unique’s blood pressure thru the roof 🤭🤣

Unique was not new to it but true to it!

Unique and Kabrina were just what I needed. They were friends to lovers, *secret trope within the prologue 🤐*, and just fun love to read! Unique, I was unsure how everything would play out because in book 7, he had two girlfriends, and Kabrina was dating a guy named AJ. Now, there was a lot on both sides, but omg, I loved how the drama never truly stopped the connection between Unique and Kabrina. Also, Kabrina, being the connection to a certain Compton that goes by Kyle now, is insane! I peeped the first thing and gasped. That resolve felt bittersweet, but I'm so glad that situation is resolved for the Compton boys! I loved Asif and Stazi’s wedding! Ugh sooo magical and all the family updates has me so torn that Banks is the last book! Banks is on one in this book, and her love interest makes me nervous because her daddy and brothers don't play! Shvonne really outdid herself with this series, and “Loves Most Wanted” is a great addition!

So freaking good

Chile I didn’t know how Unique whole little situation was gone turn out but I’m glad I was on the ride from little boy to grown ass man because that’s exactly what he was given… I love this family down so much I don’t know how I’m gone live without the Compton/St. Thomas clan but I loved how Kabrina played no games it was monogamy or the highway and nothing in between and I loved that for her because Unique was all gas no stops…. I can’t wait for Banks book so we can revisit the family once more

Ok. UNIQUE!!!!

I think Unique made it to the rop of my favorite list. This story from start to finish was amazing. I loved everything about it. I don't feel bad for Daisy or Aurora. They both knew what they signed up for. Kabrina's aunties were real aunties. No, they weren't perfect and they had .e side eying them, but overall, they presented as very realistic family members and I loved that she had somebody in her corner even if just a little bit. I'm not going to be ok when we come to the end of Banks' story because I could keep reading about this family forever. They are so funny and down to earth. So glad with the turn of events with Kyle and his family. I really appreciate how it all played out. As much as I adore Prime and Lequay, Unique really is up their for me.

4.5⭐️ Kabrina and Unique were not my favorite love story but this was my favorite book. The way I laughed throughout this book was crazy. The fight scene with Aurora and Daisy and Unique’s commentary 🤣🤣🤣🤣 about took me out! I had to take a laughter break. And chips in the attic 😆😂 I couldn’t breathe. Shvonne was definitely heavy in her comedian bag with the last Compton brother. Such a fun read!

I didn’t expect to love Unique as much as I did!

Him and the two girlfriends got on my nerves! I knew when that was introduced it wasn’t going to work! And what I thought with that was exactly what happened!

I loved him and Kabrina! I love that the “Compton Man” in him showed up when her boyfriend’s true colors came out! I knew he would take care of her, I didn’t expect the other events but I really loved it!

I didn’t see the father’s storyline playing out the way it did in this book. But I’m glad things were addressed and they at least had a chance to confront him! The church scene was wild and hilarious to me…because not yall cussing at the church members! 🤣

I also loved the wedding of Asif and Stazi! They are my favorite couple of this family so I loved that this story followed them as well! I LOVE Asif’s energy!

I also loved that the brothers have taken to their younger siblings!

The part with AJ did drag a bit but I was glad when it was lights out for him! I wanted Kabrina to stand up for herself a bit more! And I didn’t really like the aunties (Kabrina’s Aunt) energy! She really got on my nerves!

Overall, I loved it and can’t wait to reread it! I love this family!!

These Compton brothers and Sif are literally walking orgasms! I love how Unique’s marriage came full circle bringing Prime and Lisara’s marriage to mind. I’m excited for Banks but sad it’s the end.

UGH this was the last Compton brothers story and I can’t believe it! Unique had me worried with his two girlfriend having self.

He truly grew and became so caring and giving without even really trying it just came naturally to him because he knew he wanted Kabrina.

I loved how Kabrina stood on business and told him I will NOT be apart of your Poly lifestyle. She knew she wanted a man who was about her & only her! Especially after dealing with that man AJ.

The DRAMA? The Beat downs!? Daisy & Aurora were doing WAY TOO MUCH! Lol like that man don't want either of you no more, just bow out.

I can't wait to read baby girl Banks and Low Story.

Who Would’ve Thought 🥰

Them Compton men are not the 2 or the 1 to play with. From the oldest to the youngest they about that life especially when it comes to those they love and play a major part in their life. Despite all that lead them to who they are, family always came first. When it came to the woman in their life, they didn’t play games with or about them at all.

Being the youngest of the Compton men, Unique the actor seen all the ends and out of his brothers love life with their woman. Well at least what they allowed to be seen shall I say! With all this my guy said, yeah no that not for me. One woman can’t satisfy me or provide me what I need, so yeah I’m not settling with just one 🫣. To him each woman provided different things- for example one can provide that soft era and the other the hood side, of that makes sense. Basically each provides what the other couldn’t. This is what Aurora and Daisy proved him and the start of their poly relationship 🫣!. Oh but when them brother found out, they thought Unique done lost his mind 🤣! None of this was what Prime and Liars instilled in him or his brothers. Now no one nor did Unique force either one of them into this relationship. My guy laid it out on the table what it was and because they thought they loved him so much, both women accepted and agreed to the relationship. They had it all planned out to who days were spent with who, etc and was going well, until someone start being selfish and decided to plot on the next to run them off or so they thought. Babe, when Katrina entered the picture very unexpectedly, things changed as well as his outlook on relationships and what he now needed better yet wanted in his relationship!

Ms. Kabina, babygirl you were done so wrong and I was upset with you! See AJ, who was her man played with in the worst way. When everything came out, my girl didn’t know what to do, however what she didn’t expect was Unique Compton to be there for her when she needed it the most. See turning to alcohol and drinking beyond your limits can have you doing things you never would’ve done sober 🫣😳! The way she was scrutinize in the public eye was horrible. My girl didn’t deserve that. The way her talent was overlook and ignore due to the mess AJ placed her in was so wrong and unfair to her! When I say Kabrina was done with men, she was done or so she thought. She was expecting to grow feelings for Unique!

Devonte/Kyle Compton was a hot mess. The way he handled his situation was weak. The way he turned his back on his sons was even weaker and he was less of a man. Now I get ole boy was lost in his own way, but there is always a better way to handle a situation. What he wasn’t expecting was the day his GROWN sons came to expose him! Letting his new wife and family know the real him! Listen the way they shut Sunday Service down was diabolical and funny but not funny!

Overall the growth of Unique was epic to me. How mature he became when it came to his other sibling he had by Devonte/Kyle and just his overall growth in life. There is so much more that can be discussed, but not trying to right a book for me review. Queen out did herself with this series and I can’t wait for Book 9 about Banks!!! Cause the way she is in these book has my 🤣! Babygirl going to be a problem and I’m here for it!

I’m sorry but this was EXTREMELY LONG, I think coming off the other story that needed more words needed more drama and more court room tension this was CRAZY AF.

I really like this author and this is one of my favorite book families but baby this was a lot and a little at the same time. Sorry for almost 59% of this story I felt like was reading a Tyler Perry parody made to discourage and disappoint. Like all the stress strife and adversity Kabrina faced and all the BS BACK AND FORTH CONFUSION UNIQUE BROUGHT 🤢🤢🤢. I really almost DNF’d because I’m sorry the amount of confusion aka stupidity Unique had us witness was HORRID. Like you don’t know how to be vulnerable and in love but you experiencing a bunch of feelings you want to explore AND WONT GET TWEEDLE DEE AND TWEEDLE DUM GONE??? Kabri was very clear on her boundaries and while she built a fence she was letting him cut holes in it, the point still stood SHE WANTED HER OWN MAN and you weren’t ready to be that so give her space. Some parts definitely had me laughing out loud the cabin fight sequence, The mouse in the house, and the girls spy mission at the reception had me CACKLING.

AJ and Kudos storyline went on too long and while I know the best revenge is your paper Kabrina needed to say something. Sorry get on the live and promote ya gloss Bby girl cus yeah use them the way the using you. Then we never really got an explanation of her obsession along with how is it the whole internet just agreeing with a wife that they ain’t even know about like sorry that’s outlandish lmao like dang Kabrina couldn’t round up no Kadets?? Lmao no Kabrina’s Kalvery nothing she a booked and busy MUA but ain’t have no internet support CMON NOW???? The older freaky lady story line was different, creative and really added a level of depth to Uniques character. The smut was cool but the book was just way too long. Like it’s clear we winding down the series cus at times it felt like the author was tired of writing but then found a second wind or some inspo to bring it back. Shvonne is undoubtedly talented and I can tell she’s put effort and thought into this series while trying to make each one special but yeah this one took too long to get good for me.

Surprising

Unique's book was one I wasn't that interested in because he honestly was the brother that stood out the least, but I ended up really enjoying this book, and it has one of my favorite tropes in it: accidental marriage. Kabrina’s misfortune really made me feel for her, and I loved how Unique was there for her in his own way, and they gradually became sort of friends to lovers. This book has the usual Compton brother ex-lover drama, as both of Unique's girls can't seem to let go, but it's an entertaining ride for sure.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I don’t know where to begin! This series has not disappointed at all and I’m going to feel sad when it ended. With each book drop, it seems the black book community has embraced a new character and built even more of a connection. We all rejoice and talk ish about this family.

Shvonne’s writing in this series has created a whole world and we’ve become invested in the Compton- St. Thomas household and even beyond. Reading this book, I found myself happy to see Bambi is still around and that Blair was invited. This world she has cultivated- have been curious about the new Compton/ Manning siblings.

There was no surprise I fell for Unique just like the other brothers. The way he moved with Kabrina was intentional and I love a strong FMC. Despite the misunderstanding in the public of what type of woman she was, Kabrina was a real one. She wasn’t allow herself to be second fiddle even when it was clear he was into her, in a way that differed from Frick and Frack. She stood and business and his behind rose to the occasion. Top tier behavior, especially if you’re serious- which he proved himself to be.

We also got some closure with the Devante/ Kyle, which I wasn’t expecting. Yea- he has come up throughout the series. But I wasn’t expecting what happened.

I’m a bit torn on this storyline. I hated what he did and how he did it. And I also, didn’t agree with how they handled it publicly. Only because I don’t believe in outing people’s sexual orientation. Still, what he did was foul and he clearly was a selfish person; whose decision making was horrible.

This book was funny, dealt with some heavy topics. But I think the author has a good knack for addressing sensitive topics without writing a book full of trauma dump. It’s a skill and she has it.

Now I wait patiently impatiently for book 9. Please let Princess Banks behave better than her 18-19 y/o self did in this one. Her sister in laws gotta school her, we don’t compete over men. She over there being catty with Rue; it shows she’s pressed and I don’t like that for her😂. But like Khari said her brain ain’t fully developed yet.

Damn Ms. Ma'am I guess now I have to rework my fave Compton boys list.
When I tell you Shvonne Latrice just knows how to write a book that you get literally emersed in...💜💐

I can't even believe this is the last brother, my heart is a little sad but she def did an amazing Job with Unique. His situation, I was def not feeling when it was first introduced and I was not expecting to like him as much as I did but getting to understand where he was coming from in his decision to be poly though I didn't agree with it, but he was very up front about what he did and didn't want and he never lied about his thoughts and feelings. Loved how attentive and sweet he was to Kabrina with the situation between her and the other n*gga. Unique was very communicative which was necessary in his relationship, and I really feel that Kabrina was sent to help him mature in his mindset. Though she kept getting set back she was not giving up and sis def had Hands, she could throw down. I loved how he valued the time that he spent with her in a friendly way and when he felt that he wanted more he dropped kicked the excess baggage.

The level of maturity that Kabrina had was unmatched which is why them other birds could not compete where they didn't compare. They were def dumb broads only with Unique for what he could do for them, they had no ambition or drive, and Kabrina was the full package that Nique realized that he needed.

NHA(IYKYK)...GOT WHAT HE DESERVED!!! HAHA🤣

P.S: Damn, not Stazi beat the shit out of that girl...that is why she perfect for Sif unhinged ass. loved seeing the fam come full circle. I still don't like they dumbass bio daddy still know his ass was selfish as hell. Loved seeing the updates on everyone and the way they welcomed Kabrina as a new sis. I am def excited for Babygirl Banks story because I really don't even know how it's going to go.

This was a decent read. I’m always a fan of an accidental marriage turned real, eventually. I didn’t think that I would like Unique because the two girlfriends storyline isn’t my thing but I liked the way the author handled it. I also appreciated Kabrina for making Unique essentially grow up lol. I think there were some other plot points that the author brought attention to such as the double standard in the media regarding infidelity and how men are typically given a pass while the woman is villainized. And of the toxic masculinity that men fight when disclosing sexual exploitation by a woman. There were some surprising plot twists that I for sure didn’t see coming. But this book has all of the elements that the previous books do with strong a strong FMC, alpha MMC, lots of banter and the close relationship dynamics of the brothers and their wives. I’m so sad the series is almost ending.

4.5 solid stars — this was SO good!

Unique had me cracking up, thought Cemone was funny! Nah baby boy is hilarious!
Kabrina is a straight-up hustler. Pivot that career!
Aunt Bell and Aunt Rosette… I’m still side-eyeing y’all.

Kabrina being the connection to Devante was a full-circle moment I didn’t see coming, but I loved it.

Now Zosia… did she really have to get dragged into AJ’s mess?
And nope, not feeling bad for AJ — not even a little.

Aurora in that attic though 🤭😂😭
The church scene?? I was STUNNED 😳😳😳
That “Never Have I Ever” game?? Pure Comedy 😂😭🤣

And listen, Anastazia handled Daisy like she owed her back rent 😫🤣

ALL these babies!! Analicia is going to need a bigger building just to fit her daycare crew 😅

Asif and Stazia’s wedding? Beautiful. 🥹🫶🏾 Their vows had me tearing up.

Now let’s talk Baby Girl Banks St. Thomas 👀 I’m READY for her story…
But if her love interest is Deacon?? Please no, that’s weird 😬
Low though… whew 😮‍💨 I could see it. 👀

Another great book in the Crenshaw Kings series. Unique is funny as heck and is definitely young. It was nice to see his growth and character development. I was glad that they finally confronted their no good ass daddy and were able to develop relationships with their other siblings. That was something I thought should’ve at least started in Shakur’s book when he went to the church.

Asif was THAT GUY in his book and he was still THAT GUY in this one. I thought Lequay was unhinged and feared…he taught Asif right. How he handled Daisy’s ditsy ass and the way he DOES NOT play about Stazi…whew and those vows🥵.

Banks though…she is about to give them all high blood pressure and send them to the hospital in her book. Baby the way she wants Willow her brothers are just gone have to deal with it lol.

Again, this series just keeps getting better. Shvonne Latrice never disappoints when it comes to the Crenshaw Kings…I can’t believe I have gone through 8 books. Only one to go and that one should be just as good.

Unique finally met his match when he married Kabrina. No matter how it started the ending was fitting. We all know Unique is the most unserious of all the boys…even still he had some serious moments which really brought his character full circle. I enjoyed seeing him mature over the span of the 8 books and even more in this one. He is really good for a comedic relief but not only that the situations he found himself in makes you think…”would I have reacted that way?” Gives you pause.

Anyway, this is another good series…you won’t be disappointed.

Kabrina x Unique

Do you believe in fate? Well apparently the stars aligned and united the baby of the Compton boys and his co-star’s “girlfriend”….by accident….and in more ways than one. One character was avoiding love at all costs and the other was finding it in all the wrong people.

This book was hilarious! I was doubled over and laughing out loud throughout my read. I especially loved the playful banter and witty dialogue between the characters. While there were some heavy and serious moments throughout the book, it still had a lighter, more comical feel than the others in the series.

This was an immersive reading experience and I thoroughly enjoyed the narration.

Love’s Most Wanted by Shvonne Latrice had me kicking my feet and clutching my imaginary pearls. Kabrina’s life was going great… until it wasn’t. Cue Unique Compton: fine, rich, and allergic to emotional stability. Their situationship went from flirty banter to “oops we’re married in Vegas” real fast. And honestly? I was here for every chaotic, messy, sweet second of it. This book is giving: surprise love, big feelings, grown folks healing, and drama with a side of laughter. Unique had me rolling with his slick mouth but also low key swooning. And Kabrina? She’s that girl even when she doesn’t know it.

Favorite

I feel traitorous because my favorite Compton is Lequay. However, this is my favorite of the stories so far. I was intrigued by the twists and turns kf the friends to lovers trope. Unique's story really lived up to his name. I love it when the one who swears it will never be them gets dragged around my love. I was extremely thankful the brothers finally received some closure as well.
Katrina may be my favorite FMC in this series. I found her very brave and endearing. I loved seeing her growth throughout this book. It is very difficult to take a close look at yourself and make changes, but she did it. Sabrina and Unique are very well matched, and I truly enjoyed reading about them

This one is top for me along with Asif. I think the next book after Banks should be bringing it back to where it all started with Lisara and Prime. They need to renew their vows. They did an amazing job raising these boys.

This was so good, I didn't want it to end, and now I'm even more sad that we're closer to the end of this series.

Nonetheless, Unique is just another great example that Lasara and Prime did good when it came to raising their boys. I know many of us were worried when Unique announced in the last book that he would be in a poly relationship. However, I just knew that when the right woman came into his life, he would fall deeply in love and end up just like his brothers and their wives.

AJ and Kabrina's relationship was a disaster. The fact that he not only lied but continued to go on and did not defend her publicly and admit he was the only one wrong in the situation rubbed me the wrong way. Because he was less of a man and used another woman's name for fame and clout, he let the woman he claimed he truly loved be ridiculed and even contributed to her hurt and pain just because she refused to be a side chick knowingly. In the end, he got exactly what he deserved.

They say things happen for a reason. Unique, being a stand-up man regardless of the life he tried to live romantically, led him to be there for Kabrina in her time of need, which led to a union neither of them expected but needed. While Unique was there for her in whatever way she needed, she served a purpose, too. The universe made it so that the woman he fell in love with also served as the bridge that reunited them with their father. And although Devante didn't change for the better in almost 20 years, I feel it gave everyone some closure. It allowed them to all be in one space and speak about how his absence and lack of being a real man impacted them.

Some might think that the way the brothers exposed Devante was wrong. However, they also have to remember that every action has a consequence. So while we've been reading about their success stories and them finding love for the past seven books, go back to "The Marriage Favor." The way he treated his family and the struggles they had to face justified how the brothers exposed him years later, in my opinion. Karma has no expiration date. However, the whole ordeal introduced them to their half-siblings from Devante, and because they were raised right, the Compton brothers will be the stand-up men their mother and stepfather raised them to be.

Shvonne, THANK YOU for giving us Asif and Anastazia's wedding in this book. We fell in love with their story, and to read about them solidifying their union through marriage was one for the books. Probably my favorite wedding so far.

Auoroa and Daisy played their roles of delusional women who didn't know when to move on. Like every brother, Unique was honest with them when he was ready to go all in with Kabrina. And like every woman before them, they just had to act crazy. They are lucky they walked away with their lives. That doesn't happen too often.

Nonetheless, another five-star read.
