I am voluntarily reviewing a copy of secrets of ruth through the publisher and netgalley:

"Wherever you go, I will go." Ruth spoke these words to Naomi thousands of years ago, and they resognate today. Naomi and Ruth left Moab for Bethelem, listening to God's call.

For years I have been fascinated by the story of Ruth and Naomi and the relationship this Mother in Law and Daughter in Law had.

If you are looking for a book that gives you a deeper look into Ruth and Naomi then Secrets of Ruth is a must read.

Five out of five stars.

Happy Reading.

One of my favourite books in the Bible is Ruth so I was very pleased to be given the chance to read this book for an impartial review by Netgalley.
This book looks at the book of Ruth on pretty much a verse by verse aspect. This gives us a very good insight into what this book is about. On occasions she brings in other Bible verses to supplement what she believes this part of Ruth is about.
Overall an easily accessible and suitable book for all whether lay or minister and all are likely to gain something from reading this book.

Elimelech and Naomi had a crop failure because of a drought in Israel, so they traveled a bit to the east to the land of Moab and settled there. While they were there, their sons, Mahlon and Chilion, both married Moabite women, and Elimelech died. Eventually Mahlon and Chilion also die. Embittered, Naomi decides to go back to Israel. Ruth and Orpah, the daughters-in-law, follow, but Orpah turns back after Naomi's urgings. Ruth commits to staying by Naomi's side, whatever the cost, whatever the outcome.

Patricia Mitchell has drawn out the life of Ruth and exposed the work God did in her life and how it applies to us. It is in a devotional format in easy-to-read, short daily snippets. Secrets of Ruth speaks to the heart of women who want to do what matters most to God and that is exactly what Patricia has done in this book. One thing that will stand out to the reader is that following God isn't always easy, nor is it without cost, just as Ruth found out herself.

This is a five star book for women who matter to God.

My thanks to Barbour Publishing for allowing me to read and review this book.

This book made me see Ruth in such a different way. I knew the story of Ruth but this author gave her a different dimension. The author also used Ruth to show us how GOD spreads HIS wings over us and protects us and takes us in just like Boaz took in Ruth. The book is a devotional about Ruth - it starts out with a Scripture each day and then it starts out with describing what the Scripture was about then how it relates to GOD and today. This book is so wonderful - I love Ruth - this is just a great addition to it I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I love the book of Ruth. This Bible study/devotional sheds new light on the story. I learned so much in this study. The breakdown of the relationships among Boaz, Naomi and Ruth is very enlightening. It also shows the relevance of this story to today. A must read!
