It's been a long time since I read this, but I remember it with a lot of fondness.

I thought this book was very interesting. I liked the main characters and their developments. I was a bit confused by the regular switches in perspective but I believe it was helpful in creating a fuller story. I like that the relationships were respectful, especially with the older women Elizabeth befriends that they are seen as mentors and not romantic interests. I was suprised by the plot and the lack of time with the two leads together, but it made sense given the characters. I will see if this author has other novels.
