"There you are. I thought you was running from me.” He made a come hither motion with his finger and I did what he wanted...
Jay tried to warn me to be still ...He released one hand and grabbed the worm with the other. As quickly as he grabbed the worm, he let it go. Then he pulled my panties down...
I knew he didn’t want to play dolls, I knew he didn’t want to talk.... All he wanted to do was put his hands in my secret spot and rub me. He wanted to try and put his snake into me and he wanted to get on top of me….
He gained entrance to my panties and began to rub the small slit between my legs...I felt the strange sensations again, moving down my thighs...I was gripping the bedspread so tightly that my knuckles were turning white...I couldn’t bear it...I just couldn’t stand looking at what he was doing.
I saw death out of the corner of my eye. The black filmy ghost wavered there for a moment and then disappeared. I don’t know why I did what I did next, but I looked up at Jay. Jay was not beside me anymore...
Molested, violated and neglected, this is a story of a little girl whose life was transformed forever.
What happens when your abuser is someone you trust, one of your closest friends? From a very early age, Juliana was repeatably molested and raped by one of her closest relatives. Every day was a struggle.
In order to cope with the trauma, she developed imaginary friends in her mind. She became violent and would constantly get in trouble. It was only through the help of god that she began turning her life around.
Buy the book and find out the true story of what happened to Juliana Hurd.
Juliana is the survivor of life. She enjoys reading, writing and spending time with family. Nature provides her inspiration as well as her muse.
Spirituality serves as her guide to a healing destination. God is love, Juliana is loved.
There are many layers and not enough time to convey who she is, but Juliana will be writing until death. After all, if you love what you do, you will never work. She heard that somewhere and its the gospel.
To take on other reviews of this book, the spelling and grammar are terrible. Some names of the people are changed and then changed back. Very confusing. Otherwise, a very odd and fantastical story. I kept asking myself if this was really a true story. The reason I read stories like these is because I see a little of myself and childhood in them. I can see some of myself in this book, so I can understand how someone that had a childhood like this can experience things like she did. Now, onto book #2...
It starts off a little weird but you get to see in the mind of someone's youthful and slightly psychotic mind. I would reccomend this book for anyone looking for a good read.
It kept my attention, but only because I kept expecting more. I found many typos that at times made me stop and have to re read the sentence. I have lived and read many of these types of books and found this one a little boring.
I did really like the story, I feel it accurately tells a young child's thoughts and emotions during horrific abuse. That said, I was annoyed while reading (especially in the later chapters) some words were missing from sentences, or the sentence was mixed up, or words misspelled- example; Geena spelled Gina. If it was supposed to be Gina all along, why spell it the other way a hundred times prior then spell it Gina, then go back to spelling it Geena again. Also somewhat irritating is the heroine would say she found some person " the most beautiful person" she had ever encountered when almost everyone she became friendly with she described that way. Near the end, she made a statement that no one had ever stood up to her father till her brother did but she had several times. The story never finished telling us what really happened to Gary or why the authorities never pursued what they evidently thought was a murder. I mean a lot of missing stuff. I thought the book worth reading, I felt though that the author didn't proof read it at all or make sure the story ran through in a sensible combination, again mainly towards the last part of the book. I am not sure if I will read the second one.
I enjoyed the story line; I found it to be very realistic as it depicts the trauma caused by abuse. However I did have a hard time getting past the written errors...placing words that don't belong, or using an incorrect word- similar to what you would get using auto correct. At one point we are introduced to "Richard' and for the next couple of chapters he was Robert. I would still recommend reading. Aside from editing, the author is to be commended.
I thought it was an ok, maybe good book. I was a little confused, the story seemed to jump from here to there and back again. Once you get past the childhood years, the it was actually pretty interesting. I got it free from the lending library, I probably would have been more disappointed if I'd paid for it.
It grabbed my attention in the beginning and it got darker and darker but I kept reading because I felt I was too far in. Finally I had to scrap it 2/3s through. I couldn't deal with the craziness any longer. Talk about a bunch of sick sick people. Sorry I wasted as much time as I did on it.
Juliana's story is a sad one and unfortunately more common than people think. I also suffered this type of abuse as a small child. The story is well written however, the book contains many typos and misplaced words. I would recommend this book.
The story of the book was good, and they did a good job with the internal conflict and fleshing out most of the characters, but it seems that this book wasn't edited? There weren't many spelling errors, but the punctuation and sentence structure was atrocious.
it started off ok . the middle was better but towards the end I found it hard to follow . would of been better if the ending was clearer on how she is now
Book is poorly written, has many typos and jumps from one topic to another, I had to reread paragraphs just to try to understand what exactly she was saying. I also found the book to be very boring and have no intention on reading part 2
