Rate this book
Until recently, radio has been a relatively unexplored aspect of artistic practices; this book asks why. From philosophical, historical and cultural analyses to poetic writings by artists, this unique reference explores radio culture and the unusual range of activity possible when contemporary artists use radio as their medium. I'm also reading a book, in conjunction with this one, titled "Re-Inventing Radio: Aspects of Radio as Art." Goodreads has not yet heard of this one. Hope that's not indicative of the forthcoming "Transmission Arts" book.......

Includes some amazing articles especially those about radio projects out of the Banff Centre and the starting of Vancouver Co-op Radio and its programming.
