Ryan Kaine is on the trail…

When a car crash kills a woman and leaves her husband in hospital, Ryan Kaine answers the call. One of The 83 is in trouble, and the police believe he’s to blame. But Kaine knows better.

As he digs deeper, Kaine uncovers a web of lies and intimidation that leads straight to a violent crime family who will do anything to bury the truth.

With a grieving man’s freedom at stake, two children in danger, and a killer determined to silence them all, Kaine must act fast before more lives are lost.

Trapped and outnumbered, he’ll have to fight harder than ever just to survive.

Alone and facing mounting odds, can Kaine prove a man’s innocence, make sure the real perpetrator faces justice, and protect a family from retribution?

With over half a million copies sold, the Ryan Kaine series has become a must-read for fans of Lee Child, Jack Lively, and Robert Ludlum.

About the author

Kerry J. Donovan

#1 bestselling author with the US-based Lucky Shores romantic suspense series and the Ryan Kaine military action thrillers, and creator of the popular DCI Jones Casebook series of police procedurals, Kerry J Donovan was born in Dublin, before spending many formative years in West Wales.

Kerry earned a first-class honours degree in Human Biology and a PhD in Sport and Exercise Sciences. A former scientific advisor to The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, he helped UK emergency first-responders prepare for chemical and biological attacks in the wake of the 9/11 atrocities. This background adds a keen scientific edge to Kerry’s writing.

Kerry’s life experiences help him add an extra layer of realism to his stories and his characters. For example, readers will discover the water-borne adventures of his action hero, Ryan Kaine, a former member of the Royal Navy’s Special Boat Services, as authentic and exciting as a night-time dip in the Bay of Biscay.

As the owner of a “pristine” Honda NC750X, you’ll often find him touring the less well-known regions of Europe in search of interesting locations for his novels. A life-long sports enthusiast and open-water swimmer, the moment Kerry catches a glimpse of the ocean, it’s off with the bike leathers and on with his wetsuit.

A citizen of the world, Kerry recently returned from spending two decades living in the heart of rural Brittany and now lives with Margaret in a recently renovated bungalow in Nottinghamshire, UK.

When not writing, Kerry enjoys riding his motorbike, jogging, swimming, spending time with his four wonderful grandchildren, and travelling the world.

Ryan Kaine Book 14, and yes up to date with this series. One of my favourite authors, one of my favourite characters,

But I can only give this book a four star, I am really sorry Kerry, but a four star is still good.

Why? Really two, maybe three things, one a little too long for this story, one a little slower than usual, maybe not so much action, and dry humour that I enjoy.

Love all the characters, the main story, throughout the books, and still a loyal fan.

He promised justice for the innocent.

He promised to help the families , relatives and friends of the 83 who died.

When a tragic crash kills a woman and leaves her husband broken, Ryan Kaine answers the call. One of The 83 is in trouble—and the police think the husband is to blame. But Kaine knows better.

As he unravels a tangled web of lies, revenge, and intimidation, Kaine finds himself up against a violent crime family desperate to bury the truth. With a grieving man’s freedom on the line, two terrified children caught in the crossfire, and a killer willing to silence anyone who talks—Kaine must act fast.

But when the mission takes a brutal turn, and Kaine is trapped and outnumbered, he’ll have to fight harder than ever… just to survive.

Justice means everything to him. And he’ll risk everything to deliver it.

A sad end.

Kerry Donovan and the Ryan Kaine series are synonymous with intrigue, excitement and adventure. I am always waiting for the next in the series. Hopefully there will be at least one more when the new government clears Ryan's name. Great novels... Start at the beginning and you will be hooked.

Always an exciting experience

This was a fantastic story, and another terrific addition to this awesome series. I love how Kaine and his crew are always willing to do whatever is needed to help those who are unable to help themselves. It was a tragedy what happened in the beginning of this series, which would've crushed a lesser man, but Kaine has fought from the start to right his part of the tragedy. I really hope that there will be many more stories in this fantastic series in the near future!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

3.5 rating. This was not a fast paced story. The first third was extremely slow and boring to the point I almost quit reading. It did finally start to pick up in the later half. I didn't like the ending where you are left hanging waiting for a resolution. If this is the first book in the Ryan Kaine series you might never read another.

Another great adventure with Captain Kaine. Fighting wrongs and putting them right for those who are unable to do it for themselves. I really love this series. I don't want to get to the end of the book. Can't wait for the next one. Thank you Mr Donovan.

The Bentley Downfall

Ryan once again goes to the aid of the 83. The Bentley son, Dylan, was a rascal who enjoyed belittling others and strutting himself through life. Toby gets caught in Dylan's nasty behavior. The 83 Trust gets involved to protect Toby and his grandchildren.

Disappointing

Opened book full of anticipation sadly the storyline was very narrow, predicable and lacked the excitement of earlier publications. It did improve at the end when some regular team members finally made an appearance

On the Trail

All the stories in this series are well written and full of drama.
Would have liked a more satisfactory conclusion to this one.
After so many books exoneration was exoected.

Disappointed

A critique of verbose dialogue overshadows the narrative's potential, yet anticipation builds for the protagonist's upcoming journey in the next installment of the epic tale.

not the best in the series

There was a very long lead in concerning the villains and the victim. Kaine didn’t get started on his mission until the second half of the book.

Again I enjoyed the continuing series of Ryan Kaine and look forward to the next story when it becomes available. There was a sentence or two that hinted that the next book might end the series.
