Tired of living in fear of an abusive ex, Cat Tyler takes charge of her life by learning to fly. When her cross-country flight ends in a forced landing, she finds herself trapped in the Montana wilderness with her flight instructor, Josh Buchannan-a jerk who's been riding her butt since she first stepped into the cockpit, and she doesn't appreciate her growing attraction to him. To make matters worse, someone is trying to kill them. While spiriting Cat away to safety, ex-CIA operative, Josh Buchannan, discovers that their pasts connect. A failed mission, one he's tried to forget, killed Cat's parents, and he wonders if this is her twisted way of getting revenge. Josh can't trust Cat, but he will protect her. As they work together to uncover the truth, they must stay alive long enough to reveal the newest threat to western civilization. If they make it out alive, they'll have to come to grips with their pasts in order to create a relationship built on mutual trust for their future.

I loves books that help you learn of things you either don't know, or don't understand. And, as the author said, there's a good bit of romance there also! This was a book I thoroughly enjoyed!
Ok. Did not love it but did not hate it. Same complaints as I have had on others. The author kept you guessing until the end as to who was targeting them which is a good thing. The problem is insetting up the suspense to much was thrown in at to short of a time span to be believable. Also as complicated as the whole set up was it was resolved to quickly and to simple. Come on!! It was a complicated set up and then the bad guys are caught in just a matter of a few pages. Just found it annoying. My other complaint is so much time in setting up the chase, drama, suspense that not much was put into developing the main characters. Not to mention the I love you but I won't stay. I love you but I don't trust you. I love you but this is only due to the stress release we need. You get the idea. This is an author though that will be watching as she perfects her writing style. I would read her again just to see if she develops her characters better.
One of my least favorite books by Sandy. I still couldn't come to love Josh in the end. I felt like Cat could have done better. He just seemed to stay a jerk until the last chapters. He kept leading her on knowing he didn't want a relationship with her. However, this authors knowledge of flying is astounding. The first chapter was so captivating with explaining how planes function, how to actually fly one, and it was understandable as well. I wasn't confused by a bunch of foreign terms. That blew my mind and somewhat saved the book. She also got the terrorists brainwashed state of mind perfectly in writing. This story had the best twist of her books that I've read so far and made up for the relationship I wasn't really rooting for. Cat and Josh will never be a favorite couple but the storyline and twist was worth the read.
