Adult Conversations
Simplicity is the key to this book. If you have the right tool and know the correct application of that tool, then the task becomes much easier. Sometimes it is difficult to talk to certain people, even a person you have known all of your life. The key to unlocking that cumbersome situation is simply knowing the tool to use. That's what this book is about. I inserted a number of short stories to illustrate how this tool works. Enjoy.

Good Communication
This book is an useful tool in the communication process. The author define the different egos we have in layman terms. It's a precise and with great clarity. You will see yourself in many of the examples. Wow! Quick Goodread

I received this book from Goodreads First Reads in exchange for an honest review...
This was a decent book. The author had a lot of strong, well-thought-out points and theory's, and I did take away a handful of advice that I can apply to my own marriage. He was very open and honest about difficulties and personal issues that he was facing, as well as using his faith to guide him away from these problems. He used a lot of "labels" (this person behaves more as the 'Parent', this person is more like a 'Child', and this person thinks like an 'Adult'), which is what this book based itself mostly off of. Though it was solid information and advice, not everyone is going to agree with the theories and opinions that the author put out there, mostly because it can be difficult to relate too.

I enjoyed this book, the author's conversational style and openness about his faith suggest that it written from the heart.
It is, more or less, a series of anecdotes demonstrating the author's personal understanding of Transactional Analysis, which he attributes to 'What Do You Say After You Say Hello?' by Eric Berne, MD, a book which, he says, changed his life.
A gentle introduction to T.A. for anyone interested but not yet ready for 'What Do You Say After You Say Hello?' by Eric Berne or 'I'm OK, You're OK' by Thomas Anthony Harris, both best-sellers on this subject.

I think everybody has had the unsettling experience of arguing when the intention was to have a simple conversation. This book simply explains the PAC tool (Parent ego, Adult ego and Child ego), how they interact with each other and how, by examples, one can prevent arguments by assessing the particular ego of self and the other person for the moment.
A concise, simple guide to help guide one into having fewer arguments.
