Interesting. A collection of photos with accompanying text and stories about living on the Lake of the Woods, a beautiful, huge lake in Northern Ontario, Canada. I discovered and read this book in Vancouver, BC. This lake is full of natural woods & thousands of islands, extending southward to Minnesota. Fishing, hunting, water sports, boating, logging, birding, neighbors helping neighbors, surviving the storms, ice and dangers ... all brought generations of families together. For them, the Lake of the Woods was/is a way of life.
