What can I say I am a sucker for a book about a HOT cowboy. Give me a cowboy book and I have to read it. When he calls his woman "Darlin'" I just melt :)
So when I saw that Lacey Wolfe was writing a cowboy series, I just knew I had to read it. I have been a huge fan of Lacey's books for awhile now. I don't think there is a book she has written that I haven't loved. Her writing style is great. She has the ability of creating wonderful and sexy stories that are quick reads. Her stories are complete and never feel overly rushed. They get to the heart of the story without all the extra information we don't need. She also creates stories that are primarily drama free, or if there is a situation it is usually over fairly quickly. I also love her characters, they are relatable and easy to connect to.
Tucker and Lauren were no different. They were easy to connect to and also to see their connection to one another. In this story Lauren has just moved from Georgia to Texas to live with her dad and start a new life. Her father is retiring and she is taking over his business, which comes at a great time because she just found out her fiancé Phillip was cheating on her with her BFF Amanda. So what a better time to move on. Little did she know that by taking over her dad's accounting business, she would cross paths with Tucker. He runs a ranch with his family and she does their books. Once they meet the sparks fly from there. They can't fight their growing attraction and decide to give it a try. I enjoyed watching them get to know each other and grow into a couple. They do have a small bump in their road, but it is short lived.
I enjoyed meeting all the other secondary characters and I am looking forward to reading more books in this series. I am assuming that each of Tucker's siblings will be getting a book of their own, or at least I hope that's the case.
So if you are looking for that quick and spicy cowboy love story then this is the book for you. Lacey doesn't disappoint and I will always read anything she writes.

I enjoyed this book. It was a quick, easy flowing read for me. The characters were easy to like and were entertaining. I really liked all of the family dynamics. Lauren and Tucker's romance was sweet, loving, and cute, if not a little fast. I would recommend this book to cowboy and romance lovers alike. I will be looking for the next book in the series for another easy, entertaining read.

This was a sweet fun read with just a little angst. Tucker and his brothers run the family ranch. Lauren is taking over her dads business. When Tucker opened the door to see the ranch accountant he was in for a surprise, a sexy woman was at his door and on time too! The sparks are immediate between the two and the story is fast and sweet and lots of steam between the two. When Lauren’s ex shows up things shake up and everyone needs to decide what they really want. This is a great pick me up read, highly recommend.

This is a very sweet novella, which was perfect for a winter's evening read. The two lead characters are appealing, and the family dynamics work well in juxtaposition with their assumptions about each other. The writing is good, and the outcome as we would desire. As an accountant myself, I am always happy when they are not portrayed as overly boring - and I enjoyed the free financial advice that is thrown in for any cowboy down on his luck!

What more could you ask for but a hot Texas cowboy who knows how to ride with the best of them? This little lady has fallen in love with one of the hottest cowboys to set her kindle on flames in awhile. If Lauren doesn’t want him I will be happy to take him off her hands!
Lacey gives you one hot steaming read as Tucker lights up the pages with his fast moves on Lauren. It does seem Lauren has a few moves of her own. Tucker has always been the love them and leave them out for a little fun but no balls and chains are going on his ankles. Lauren decides after a back break up that is just what she is going to give him. It’s just Tuckers luck when he finds the one women he could keep forever she doesn’t want him. Can he change her mind? It doesn’t help matters when the ex comes to town with plans to take his women. No sir Tucker isn’t happy and he is about to show the world no one takes his women. Now if he could just get Lauren to buy into his plan he would have it made.
This was a page turner for me, the author kept my interest with one hot passionate read. One look was all it took for two free spirit to burn into the flames of love and desire. The pull is strong but will it be enough to keep these two burning with love for a lifetime. I found nothing I didn’t like the characters are wonderful, both strong. One alpha male with one headstrong lady you know they are going to butt-heads. I liked the fact that Lauren didn’t need a man to take care of her, she turned the tables on Tucker giving him what he wanted. I enjoyed that she went after what she wanted. She didn’t take any slack from her ex but stood strong.
Tucker what is there not to love he isn’t a player but he isn’t into relationships either. He is a gentleman who starts out as he means to go on willing to stand up and grab what he wants but does it in a slow easy way. He decides that this might be it for him and puts his best foot forward. When the ex comes to town he makes his stand and doesn’t give an inch.
The author gives you a little twist that could go either way. You will be cheering Tucker on wanting him to win the lady. Even the ex isn’t so bad maybe a little over bearing but I wouldn’t say a bad man. Yes what he did was wrong and I don’t think he learned his lesson. The author starts off right from the start with some heat and gets hotter as she takes you through the story of some very hot passion. Lacey is a wonderful author who gives you what you want in a classy way. She tells a wonderful story of love lost, starting over, and just maybe getting it right this time. I loved the humor Lacey puts into the story. She kept me smiling and even laughing at times. You won’t be disappointed in this lovely story of a hunk of a cowboy. I sure every read can find something in this story they will love.

This was a sweet easy read and had one smoking hot cowboy in it. I would love to have my very own Tucker Carver. He is what I believe every cowboy would be like.
Tucker Carver is born and breed cowboy. He is running the business side of his family’s ranch. Tucker knows what hard work is but doesn’t mind it at all. Because once the work is done then he can enjoy his fun with the ladies and has no desire to settle down to start a family. But one look at the new accountant and that thought starts flying out the window.
Lauren Ford has just moved to Texas to take over her father’s accounting firm. She needs a fresh start from the disasters life of hers in Georgia. She left behind a cheating fiancé and her best friend, who was having an affair with him. A fresh start is just what she needs. When she drives up to the Carver Ranch and lays eyes on the cowboy in front of her, feelings stir inside of her that she can not explain.
It seems that their working relationship may turn into a more personal relationship. Tucker and Lauren try to fight the desire they have for each other but Tucker refuses to let his brothers or any man in Texas near her. Lauren is just as jealous of any woman who shows Tucker any attention. This is becoming a thing for them although they refuse to say they are in a relationship.

I love reading novels that have cowboys because most of the time you know and hope your going to be getting two things. One is a sexy hot looking cowboy of course; and the other is a pure romantic melt your kindle at the end especially if the author is passionate about what she does. Well let me tell you while reading Counting Cowboys I definitely got my two wants fulfilled. I was able to tell through the plot and character that the author is passionate about her writing. Tucker Carved and his family has always loved the ranch life, and lives through it. While he lives and breathes ranch, he is not ready to settle down. Women are fun in his current state of mind, they have a mutual agreement, but he does treat them with respect. Lauren, moved away from everything she knew to get away and possibly to start fresh. She is smart, career minded, and did believe in love at one time. You can see the sparks fly between these two but with their mindframe, they may need an extra push. So when a blast from the past comes and stirs up trouble one can only hope that it will help these two instead of hurting them. Can you just see what kind of heart racing novel this is, everything that you want from a mending heart to a possibly second chance! Who will be picked is the question? The flow of the plot is smooth and flawless. If your looking for a romance novel that has cowboys with sizzling encounter then this is one for you to grab! I am looking forward to the other siblings to get their own novels to.

In Counting Cowboys, we meet Tucker Carver who is the ultimate playboy who loves to have fun and has forever to settle down , so why not enjoy life to the fullest attitude. He also helps manage his family's ranch and it's that time of year again where the ranch have a looksie at the books and decide whether they have made a profit or are losing in the financial side of the business. Enter Lauren Ford who after an awful breakup with her now ex-fiance after he cheated on her with that age old cliche of best friend , she has now come back home to help her father with his accounting business as her dad is deciding it's time for retirement. When these two meet, there is a sudden urge of passion and sparks flying, but can Lauren be the girl to settle down the Cowboy in his wild ways ? Lauren has moved to Texas to live with her father after she discovered her fiancé was having an affair with her best friend. After breaking up with, she is not on the look out for a new relationship or any sort of relationship at all.
Together they combustible and it sets them both to questioning their desire for a no strings relationship and to start thinking about a future together. Tucker is certainly more sure of things than Lauren. She does not yet have the complete closure on her past and her past sends her a reminder of this. Every girl should have a man like Tucker, who puts their needs first and foremost above his own. He shows patience with Lauren's uncertainty.
The spiciness combusts right off the page and it balances perfectly with the sweetness of the romance. It is a quick, light read that quenched my thirst for hot cowboys. And we will get plenty more chances for cowboy hotness with Tucker's brothers.

Tucker Carver is just trying to run the ranch and maybe have a little fun with a girl or two. Lauren Ford is new to town and taking over her father's business; defiantly not looking for a relationship after her latest breakup. However, one look at each other and both want to have a little fun. What starts out as a flirtation quickly turns into something serious. Tucker has never been one to want to settle down, but Lauren brings it out in him. Lauren is trying to get over her last breakup, but when she start to have feeling for Tucker, she bolts. Upset that Lauren left, Tucker tries to pull his life back together, but fate steps in and bring these two back together.
I loved this book; the Carver boys are great Southern boys that do Texas proud! Tucker is all that and a bag a chips! The electricity between Tucker and Lauren radiate off the pages. Lacey Wolfe is an amazing writer that I adore and Counting Cowboys is fantastic.
I can't wait see what happens next in the Carver Ranch Series!

I'm in love! That's right you heard me. I'm in love with one Tucker Carver!
Counting Cowboys is a easy read that is really hard to put down. I finished this book in one sitting and only regret that I ran out of story!
Tucker and Lauren meet when Lauren comes out to do accounting for the Carver family ranch. These two have a fast paced romance that has lots of sweet moments and some laugh out loud moments. Tucker is as sweet as can be and falls so hard for Lauren but, Lauren having just come off a bad relationship just wants fun. Poor Tucker- Talk about karma coming back to bite the playboy cowboy in the booty!
The chemistry is off the charts right from the get go and I was surprised it took the couple so long to do the sheet samba. But when the did- holy smokes batman! It was HOT!
In the end they do get their happily ever after! If you want a sweet, fast paced romance with some panty melting scenes, one-click this book!

Being a Brit reading Lacey Wolfe's sexy cowboy story was a wonderful treat. Tucker Carver loves his cowboy life. He works hard and he plays hard. He's all set for more play when sexy accountant Lauren Ford starts to dig deep into the finances at Carver Ranch.
Lauren is set to take over her father's accounting firm, but more from circumstance than personal choice. She's left a cheating fiance behind and the charm and undeniable sex appeal of cowboy Tucker is tempting her to loosen up and have some fun for a change. Trust issues and a clash of relationship goals stir the pair up, but not as much as the sizzling chemistry between them. And honestly, if Tucker called me Darlin' I'd be melting like butter on hot toast for him too!
I enjoyed the developing relationship between Tucker and Lauren and I warmed to the secondary characters too. I hope several of them get their own story. I can't wait for more of this series!

This story was wonderful. Read it in one sitting, falling absolutely in love with Tucker and Lauren, as well as the entire cast of characters.
It's a quick read. Funny, sweet and lots of yummy cowboys.

This story was wonderful. Read it in one sitting, falling absolutely in love with Tucker and Lauren, as well as the entire cast of characters.

Oh my gosh! I want to read this story again and I just finished it! I absolutely LOVE Tucker! I have begged Lacey Wolfe to write a cowboy book for quite some time now and I am SOOOO happy that she finally did. Boy did she make me LOVE Tucker!
Lauren is learning the ropes and is going to take over her dads business. When she goes out to Tucker's ranch to look over the books, she gets way more than she bargained for. Tucker really not looking for anything serious quickly finds out that Lauren is not like any other girl and he finds himself falling for her fast. Lauren tries to keep things all business but is so drawn to the sexy cowboy and thinking she is just in town for a little while lets herself let loose and have a little fun. When her "ex" shows up in town to try and take her back home with him, its every man for himself.

Great short read. Lauren Ford lived in Georgia but came to Texas to take over her father's accounting business. He wanted to retire. Lauren wanted to get away from her ex fiance, Phillip. He cheated on her with her best friend and she broke their engagement. Her first day working for her father she went to the Carver ranch to do an accounting of their ranch. She was met by Tucker Carver. She couldn't believe how handsome he was and he couldn't take his eyes off her. he thought she was beautiful. After doing the books Tucker asks her to come to the bar where everyone in town hangs out. She shows up but he doesn't say anything to her so she approaches him to find out its his twin, Nathan. This starts a sweet getting to know each other romance. This book does contain sexual scenes but the story is really good

Lacey Wolfe is one of my favorite authors. She always provides me with a well-written romance, that allows me to escape the real world, for a couple hours. Counting Cowboys was a great read, which kept me entertained throughout the whole story. Usually the word cowboy, will pretty much seal the deal that I will love the story, and this cowboy story is no different. I loved Lacey Wolfe's characters. Tucker and Lauren had great chemistry and really know how to heat up the pages. The one thing I really love about this author, is that the drama never lasts long. Yeah couples fight, but with Lauren and Tucker, as soon as one of them got hurt, the fighting didn't matter. I love that! I definitely recommend this book and this author!

This is a sweet romantic book, where as we all love our leading characters clash a little bit and lust after each other as well. It is a short sweet read, that will be perfect to settle down with these cold winter evenings and you will be whisked away to where cowboys have charm and are all man. I love how Lauren is running away from what she thinks is what she needs to something that makes her assess what she really wants. I am beginning to read more cowboy books and liking them even more than i thought i would there is just something about that rugged manly cowboy i am beginning to like a lot. If you like a sweet short read, that has a story with a good flow this book is for you. I will be tempted to read the other books in the series at some later point as well

I was easy got attached to the story and the characters.
I love the concept and the flow of the story.
It's easy to understand and to relate with.
The characters, Tucker and Lauren are good.
I love the characters personalities.
Both are easy to like.
Tucker, a man who doesn't have an intention to get settled yet
but when he met Lauren, things changed for him.
He's sweet and I love his attitude.
Lauren, an amazing woman and a good daughter.
I love her determination to move on and have a new life again.

Oh My! Lacey Wolfe sure does know how to write the perfect book boyfriend! I so want to get my hands on Tucker and keep him all to myself!
Lauren moves out to Texas to help her dad and to run from a really messed-up relationship. Tucker is known for not being the settling down type of guy. For Lauren, this is the perfect situation to have some hot lovin' with no strings. This book has fast horses, fast cowboys, lots of honkey tonkin' both in the bar and in the bedroom!
Counting Cowboys was such a great read, I just couldn't put it down! Just think...there will be more from the rest of the Carver clan in the future...and I can't wait!

Hello Tucker the cowboy! Sexy, fun and oh so charming as Tucker infiltrates Lauren's world. Where can I get a cowboy? Oh boy this was a great read. Hot and steamy and just the perfect amount of romance. I can't wait to read more about these Carver boys! Highly recommend this one, especially if you love to read about sexy Cowboys!
