The fae are different and don’t think the same way we do. Many are utterly alien to us and escape our definitions and ideals. More than just the tricksters of legend, they are nothing if not complicated. They are everywhere and in wide variety. Call them fairies, spirits, yokai, peri—you will never forget them. And we are insignificant in the face of their uncaring, alien intelligence. Until we catch their eye.

And now, we’re unleashing that overwhelming, amoral tide of fae on you! Nine dark, intense fantasy tales of the fae, filled with equal measures of fright and fancy. To be clear, these are not "fairy tales." We aren't trying to teach you anything—we just want to play with your head for a bit.

Like the first volume, this book is an anthology of stories of the fae. Some big authors, and some not so big. The traditions and settings vary, so the reader is not stuck in any ruts. Some of the stories are quite short, but get the story told. Some variance in quality for me, but all are worth reading.

Has Potential

Many of these stories were great for YA and I don't mean that unkindly. Even sexuality was addressed as normal and healthy (and heartbreaking). But some of the authors are still struggling to find their own narrative voices, and would have benefited from kind editing.
