Stone Ridge #1.5

Love You A Latte

Rate this book
*Do you ever wonder why the universe hates you? Addison Moore sure does.*

Tired of her toxic exes and ready for a break from city life, Addison leaps into a week-long escape in her hometown of Stone Ridge, Arizona. It just so happens that’s also where Frankie lives.

Frankie, the tattooed coffee shop owner Addison tried to kiss a few months ago. Frankie, objectively the hottest person alive, who rejected Addison, and who she hasn’t seen or spoken to since.

It only makes sense then, that Frankie is Addison’s last–and only–hope of rescue when her travel plans go awry. Next thing she knows, Frankie is treating her to orgasmic lattes and sweeping her off her feet to the dulcet tones of Ella Fitzgerald.

A few days of dog-sitting turn into a week of swoon-worthy dates and steamy nights, despite the universe seemingly working against them. Between Addison's exes wreaking emotional havoc and a competitive business owner threatening Frankie's livelihood, the freshly-brewed pair must move past their hang-ups to give love a second chance.

Things are finally looking up–just as Addison’s week of freedom ends. This week wasn’t meant to be forever, right?

~~~
Escape to the queer-friendly small town of Stone Ridge in this sapphic novella featuring a confident, nonbinary coffee shop owner and a bubbly, bisexual city girl as they get swept into a whirlwind second-chance romance.
So so so so cute! Exactly the right read for my summer holiday, with everything a good romance needs!
The characters are so awesome, they fit together so well and them ending up together makes so much sense. If I had to choose my three favorite things about this book, they would be: The femme mc being taller (us tall girlies win again), no miscommunication, and no third-act break-up! Just overall a really cute read.
Thanks so much for the ARC I received from the author in exchange for an honest review :)
Let’s see how many alterations I can come up with about this book!
This novella is short, sweat, and spicy!
It’s a story with lots of heart, heat, and (ex’s to) hate.
Coffee, cream, and caring seem to be a theme.
The characters are happy, hurt, and healing.
Frankie is a fantastic, fearsome, flatterer.
Addison is adorable, amazing, attentive, and affable.
Okay, but in all seriousness, this book is adorable. I will be the first to admit, I didn’t read the first book in the series, but this easily was picked up and understood. Now, I want to know more, and I can see myself going back and reading the first book. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, and the author makes it clear that the setting is a very different world than the one we are currently in. People are accepted for their gender and sexualities, where as people in our world are being threatened, harassed and rights taken away. So, if you’re looking for a book that shows you a better world, where people aren’t judged for their genders or sexual identities, this has that, even though there are still people that still suck.
(I received an advance review copy from the author.)
Short and sweet: This novella is a great quick summer read for anyone looking to hear more about the characters from Poinsettia Lane (although it can stand alone, too). A delightful queer love story.
Cozy vibes: Love You a Latte set in a world where being queer is normal, so that even when the characters face adversity, it isn't rooted in homophobia or transphobia. The nonbinary main character is always gendered correctly. and nothing bad happens to them there.
Spicy! The sex scenes are well-written and fit the tone of the rest of the book.
CW: The main couple do face some adversity, in the form of manipulative exes and a stalker. Addison's past is dealt with seriously and resolved early in the book. I would have liked for there to have been more closure about Frankie's beef with the rival business owner--perhaps that was made clearer in Poinsettia Lane?--but because this is a cozy no-hate world,
This book is the perfect summer read! It's short, sweet and has a lot of heart.
The chemistry between Frankie and Addison is *chef's kiss*.
I love a will they won't they type of vibe and it's definitely there with Frankie and Addison.
Frankie is bad ass, super fine and owns a coffee shop!! Like, where do I sign up???
They are extremely charismatic, charming and can bake / make coffee? What a dream.
Addison is fierce and extremely lovable and I can't forget about the most important character, Moose!
Reading this really makes me want to read book number 1, Poinsettia Lane!
I definitely recommend this book if you're looking for a LGBTQ+ small town romance that will leave you wanting more!
Absolutely adored this book! I was hooked from the very start and couldn’t put it down; I honestly didn’t expect to love it as much as I did! The dynamic between the characters was beautiful and not to mention completely adorable. You could quite literally feel the chemistry through the screen from the outset;not to mention the spice was spicing🔥
The writing itself was gorgeous and so easy to read, really allowing me to become immersed in the story. And let’s not forget the ending which reminds you exactly what it means to be part of the queer community and how beautiful it can be!
Frankie and Addison will be on my mind for the foreseeable and I’m not complaining!
Thankyou author for this ARC, it was incredible!
This was such a cute little story! I loved Frankie in Poinsettia Lane, so seeing them get their own fluff and such made my heart happy.
The pacing was good, the spice was hot, and I really feel like Addison and Frankie were meant for each other. We saw them flirt in Poinsettia Lane, so getting to see that deepen and develop was comforting.
This is such a cute novella. I was hooked early on especially with Addison and Frankie’s backgrounds. I wanted to know more about what previously happened between them. I also loved how Addison was absolute goo for Frankie and how Frankie was pretty much constantly drooling over Addison. Their dynamic was super fun and adorable.
That being said this novella also manages to pack in some more serious topics. Frankie and Addison both have some serious issues they are dealing with separate from their relationship, which helps make the story feel more complete (rather than just pure fluff… not that I don’t love the fluff).
And there is spice, for those spice lovers! Overall, a heartfelt, enjoyable read for those who are in the mood for something that doesn’t take long to get into or finish.
I am a person that loves angsty books that are taking many hours to read and many more to recuperate from. This book was the total opposite, a short story that almost only is rainbows and sunshine. I enjoyed reading the book though as an antidote to my normal angsty reads.
Addison is house and dog sitting for her sister in small Stone Ridge, she needs a break from her toxic ex-girlfriend and ex-boyfriend. There is a rental car mishap, and she is told by her sister to call Frankie and ask for a ride. Hot Frankie that she is crushing on but when flirted with them a few months earlier was rejected. Frankie shows up and they are of course crushing on Addison as well, they rejected her when they met the last time out of respect, they were drunk, not because no interest.
Addison want to pay back for the ride by helping at Frankie's coffee shop and of course that leads to so much more. They start dating at once, kind of insta love. Both have some shitty things in their lives they help each other to block out and then it is just heads on to plan a life together after a few days together.
Yes, so no real depth in the story but a fast fun and hot read.
4.5 stars! Love You A Latte is a delightful, lighthearted read that I thoroughly enjoyed. The sapphic romance at the heart of the story is beautifully developed, and the representation of a non-binary character felt refreshing. I particularly appreciated the way Corina Bair crafted such relatable and likable characters ; their connection felt genuine and compelling, and I found myself completely invested in their journey. The effortless chemistry between the characters is captivating.
The narrative's easygoing style made it a truly engaging read. I was completely drawn into their world and found myself wanting more. The novel subtly explores themes of vulnerability and connection, leaving the reader with a warm and satisfying feeling. I highly recommend this novella to anyone looking for a heartwarming and enjoyable story with well-developed characters and a compelling romance.
This was the perfect book to read during pride month!
I rated this a four stars simply because I am not normally a novella girl. I crave a story with depth and length. I am also a sucker for a big buildup in romance between two characters. I wish we could have seen more of their stories before and after they were together!
That being said, I ate this up. I DIE for queer characters who are simply in love and celebrate that, out loud. I don’t think you see that enough in books written today and it always warms my heart. I love a bubbly character with a slightly less extroverted character. This book had everything that I love and I devoured it. ♥️🏳️‍🌈
So happy & lucky to have been an arc reader for Corina. She helped me realize that novellas CAN be really good when written correctly. I’ll just be looking forward to more of this story in the future. Hopefully. 🤞🏼
💕Best friends sister
💞Sapphic Second chance
💕Small town
💞Dog named moose 🫎
Thank you to the author for this ARC! The release date is 6/17/25 ☺️
This book was such a sweet book! Addison takes week long vacation to her home town of Stone Ridge to dog sit her sister’s dog Moose. There’s a mishap with her rental at the airport and Frankie goes to pick her up. Addison tried to kiss Frankie months prior during a drinking game and was rejected. This second chance romance was short and so sweet. The chemistry between the two MC’s was perfect and the build up between their relationship felt real. There is some ex drama mentioned but it does not take over the story. I recommend to anyone looking for a heartwarming sweet story with low angst and spice.
Loved it a latte
An opposites attract small town sapphic romance released during Pride month?? Pass the coffee and the novella please!
Set in a queer-normative world, this is a sister’s best friend romance with f/nb leads. While it is mostly light-hearted and flirty, both characters are on the receiving end of harassment and support each other through their struggles.
There’s also lots of delicious coffee, a dog called Moose, dancing to Stevie Nicks under the stars, garlic on the first date and Sandra Diego Pride. It’s an open door book but really doesn’t go heavy on the steam (they save it for making the lattes). It is part of a series but can easily be read as a stand alone. It’s a sweet tale that can be easily enjoyed in an evening.
Torn between whether I can't stop thinking about all of the lattes or Addison and Frankie more. I mean, clearly, it's Addison and Frankie, but despite only ever drinking hot coffee, I am really invested in these iced latte flavors. I will state this book changed my brain chemistry. I could relate so much to Addison trying to escape some toxicity, not being fully able to move past, anxious, emotional. And seeing what a confident Frankie could do for her, and how the right love can help a person - so, so good.
Delightfully fast read, the best banter, two characters you will just love immensely.
2.5 ✨
Hmm, I think novellas are not for me, things were going way too fast (says I, a lesbian). Addison and Frankie knew hardly anything about each other, but they wanted to say I love you after what, 2 days of knowing each other? I felt like the only thing connecting these two characters was their sexual desire for each other, and as someone on the ace spectrum, that didn't really do it for me unfortunately.
The intimate scenes were cute, sexy and well written, but because I didn't really feel the spark between the characters, it didn't do anything for me. Or maybe I'm more ace than I thought 🤷
Appreciated the bisexual and non-binary rep tho.
This low angst story hits the ground running and keeps that pace throughout. It’s a cute and feel-good sapphic romance that made me smile so many times. The spice was also done well and an enjoyable read overall. The lack of angst threw me for a bit and I would have liked Frankie and Addison to face just one or two real challenges or for the challenges they did face to feature just a bit more prominently and emotionally. However, regardless of this I still really enjoyed reading this one. If you’re looking for a low angst sapphic romance with some spice you will probably enjoy this one
I really enjoyed this read, I received Love you a latte as an ARC from the author, and read it as a standalone, but it makes me want to go back and read book 1.
It’s short, its sweet, and the spicy is spicy. Frankie is such a beautiful soul who should be protected at all costs, we all need a Frankie (& Moose) in our lives.
I thought the plot was cute, and the pace was great. It was a fun and lighthearted read. It’s a small town romance, set in a pretty queer friendly universe, I’d be excited to possibly see more queer characters stories for Stone Ridge in the future.
I loved this book! It is short and sweet! Frankie had the badass vibe and owns her own coffee shop. Addison gives off the sunshine vibe! Addison goes back to Stone Ridge to dog sit her sister’s dog,Moose. She needs a ride from the airport and Frankie helps out! I loved their story and real and raw it is! I didn’t read the first book in the Stone Ridge series and still didn’t disappoint or even matter!
Addison and Frankie are total relationship goals. The reps in this book are amazing. You have a Sapphic romance that involves a Female (Bi+) and an NB. This is their second chance and neither of them is willing to give it up. The spice hits just right and fits both characters amazingly. Also, get the bonus chapter! It's on Corina's website and it totally worth it and is on brand for Addison and Frankie.
Love You A Latte is a short, lovely, soft and light read. The plot was as if it was not completely based on real life, but the author had announced it in advance and I was not disappointed as she tries to give us the story and the happy ending that we often miss in real life. The story does not delve into personal dramas, but they are not absent in the background. Flirting, eroticism and funny moments are presented believably giving the read a chilled vibe. Frankie and Addison have instant chemistry and their relationship develops stormily in the style of the humorous myth of Sapphic relationships with few bumps on the road to happiness.
My personal preferences are for more depth in building the characters. In this case, I had the slight feeling that the main storyline was the attraction, sex and love relationship, not the growth of the MCs. Of course, they undergo their metamorphosis and butterfly's rebirth, but I needed a little more... drama and redemption before the end. I give it 4.5 and recommend the book to those who need a positive glittery break from reality.
I would like to express my gratitude to the author for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
