Code Name: Grit is the third book in the K19 Sentinel Cyber series by HEATHER SLADE, and the books in this series keep getting better and better.
Drake "GRIT" Harrison is a seasoned Agent, intelligent, fearless, strong and protective of his heart.
He protects those he loves with everything he is!
Chiara "Luminous" AKA Lumi Bianchi has had an incredible childhood, different from the average child. But she has learned many skills that come in handy for this story! Other characters from the previous books in this series make an appearance as well. This book is soooo good. But I can't choose a favorite because I do love them all!!
HEATHER SLADE knows how to write a story with mystery, drama, military style. She creates a world of like minded people (makes the reader wanna live in that world)!
Her descriptions of all things: people, locations, planes, helicopters, munitions, etc. I appreciate those little details because it creates a picture in my mind of the whole scenario. Makes my reading that much more intense. And Ive spent many vacations in the Adirondack Mountains and grew up in Central NY so I can picture it all while reading.

Unique premise, amazing story!
Chiara has been in hiding with her mother for her entire life, and is just now starting to come out of the shadows. She's learned a lot about how mafia families work while hiding from them, and she's ready to apply her vast insider knowledge and brilliant capacity for analysis to the task of taking down the criminal empires moving in and around her hometown.
Grit is the handsome and capable federal agent assigned as her partner, and he's determined to not only help her build the case against the Belcastros but also to keep her safe from their leader, who might have too much of a personal interest in her.
Their romance builds as they work together, learning to trust each other as they face one dangerous situation after another. I really enjoyed getting to know these two and watching their love develop. I also enjoyed the exquisite attention to detail as we follow the investigation.
There's plenty of action and suspense that kept me captivated by the story, and throughout it all Grit and Lumi's love grows sweeter and steamier. I adored the way the author delivered two HEAs at the end, and am looking forward to reading more about this exciting special forces team.

What You Know or Don’t Know
Grit/Drake and Chiara/Lumi. Both work for K19 but Lumi is new as we just found her in Dante’s book as the hidden sister. She comes in loud though with knowledge of the crime families habits and is undercover with Grit to get closer. Danger happens quickly as one of the families is too interested in her and we also see the team suffer betrayal in a corrupt agent. A kidnapping and major action scene ensues and the aftermath is full of major finds regarding law enforcement plans, romances, family relationships, and of course romantic relationships. The ending is sweet either way Lumi meetings her dad and growing a relationship, her mom getting that chance for love, Dante getting his family with his love and sister and moms, the wedding was sweet and the something blue from Cassio had me smiling/choking up.
The story did drag a little in the middle with how often both Lumi and Grit talked about stuff not adding up, Keller not making sense, etc., which was frustrating. However, when all the odd facts and thibags that didn’t line up came together at the end, it was worth it!

Another winner from Heather Slade. The 3rd book in this current K19 series. I love that Ms. Slade is always dreaming up new characters. This is the 3rd book of this series. Most of the time the books can be read as a standalone, which technically this one can be as well however having read book 2 you have a better understanding of Lumi's (Chiara) personality. She spent her life hiding from her mafia father with the help of her mother, and her new sister-in-law's mother. She's done living in the shadows and wants to help bring down the various New York Mafia families.
Grit (Drake) has been a fixture since the first book of the series; part of that book you were questioning his loyalty. Clearly, he's one of the good guys. His protective instincts are very strong, and he wants to protect Lumi from all of the dangers, plus there's that conventional threat from the older brother of not hurting her in any way. :)
These personality quirks create a lot of sparks as they navigate this assignment as a married couple. But with each day they realize that nothing is what it seems, and they are questioning everything that the Mafia families are up to, as they are having trouble putting all the pieces together.
I'm looking forward to the sizzle of the fourth book

He already lost his love when a job went south. She just gets under his skin and is so irresistible. She’s beautiful and he feels that he needs to take care of her if her. She’s so strong but his fear becomes reality. He starts falling for her.

Action Packed
This is book 3 in Heather Slades new K19 Sentinel Cyber unit. Each story continues to build the K19 world and brings characters we will hold onto for a long time.
Drake and Chiara’s story is full of action, steamy fun, betrayal, and unexpected turns. Sometimes the past isn’t all we think it is and new revelations will change how we view the world forever. Drake and Chiara not only work for find their HEA through this but navigate the truth’s that keep coming up. I love all of Heather’s books. They bring amazing characters and storylines that aren’t cliff hangers but carry over through out the series. Grit and Chiara just clicked for me. I couldn’t put this down until I knew all the turns their story would take.

Another well written book in this series that combines not only one of my favourite authors but also one of my favourite worlds This is Lumi and Grit's story He is protecting his heart determined to never feel again after losing his wife Lumi has joined K19 Sentinel Cyber Book determined to stop running from her past. What neither expected when they where teamed together was that there would be a spark between them As they dig deeper into the criminal empires trying to take over the town Lumi finds it has far more to do with her past than she realise This is a relatively slow burn story more of a fade to black than Heather usually writes but that doesn't take away from the connection between these two While it could be read as a sand alone I feel it is a far better read if read in the series

O my this book is full of everything, secrets exposed, relationships both new and old have some closure, while others will continue on. Our main characters are Lumi (Chiara) and Grit (Drake), who met in a previous book when it was determined that she and Dante were siblings and she and her mother had been living in hiding from Mafia crime families. The connection between them has to do with two Mafia families vying to take over each other’s territories. Lumi has joined K19 to help take down the two. While she works with Grit as her partner feelings grow. Heather has given us a book that until you read it you will be sitting on the edge of your seat. It all comes to an exciting conclusion but you will be drawn in to looking forward to the next K19 Sentinel Cyber book.

Code Name:Grit picks right up where Code Name: Dante ended. The K9 Sentinel Cyber team scrambles to identify the players in the grab for turf and power void left by the takedown of the Castellano family hierarchy. There's so much going on in this book you almost need a scorecard. Heather Slade ramps up the intrigue, suspense and action to breath holding/gasping levels. She thens throws a couple curveballs just to keep you on your toes. I promise that you're going to love Drake Harrison AKA Grit and Chiara Bianchi AKA Luminous or Lumi. If ever two people were meant to be together, it's these two. He's fiercely protective and wants to shield her from everything but she's spent her life hiding. She's adamant, no more!!

Wow. A suspenseful page-turner that included twists and turns, and mixed signals between the mob families being investigated. The K19 Sentinel Cyber Team was watching the movements of the Belecastros family. Grit and Lumi had an unexpected attraction from the moment they first met. A man defined by loss, he was convinced that the way to survive was to keep people at arm's length. A woman who has been in hiding her whole life because of who her father was. This case put her in danger from the mob families, and her newfound freedom was being taken away from her. When danger found her, Grit became alpha protective to save her. This story was a fantastic read featuring wonderful and complex characters.

Code Name Grit is the 3rd book in the K19 Sentinel Cyber series and I highly recommend reading the books in order since the underlying suspense plot continues throughout the series and while every couple's romance stands on its own, they're all very much part of a team! Grit and Lumi are both very likeable characters and I enjoyed their journey to love. They clicked from the beginning as partners on the job, but the building chemistry was not so evident for me - maybe because this is a closed-door romance with a few kisses being the most we get to see of their passion. There's plenty of action though, some intriguing surprise developments and a very sweet HEA. Looking forward to meeting the team again in the next story!

What a Sensational Suspense Romance . Drake Harrison (Grit ) never expected to ever fall in love again it just wasn't in the cards for him until he finds himself working undercover with Chiara Bianchi (code name Luminous ) . They both work for K19 Sentinel Cyber . Grit tries to fight the attraction . Chiara Lumi for short knows everything there is to know of the mafias inner workings and has been hiding from them since she was born . The assignment has the two working closely together and soon the danger intensifies as does their feelings for each other . This story is intense and suspenseful action packed and full of romance . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

What a great story! This is the third installment in the K19 Sentinel Cyber series and they just keep getting better. Drake "Grit" is a dedicated agent who swears off love, romance and protects his heart. Chiara "Luminous aka Lumi" has had the most unconventional upbringing while on the run from the Mafia. These two are thrown undercover as married couple and boy do the sparks start to fly.
Throw in multiple Mafia families vying for territories, corrupt cops, federal agents, some of our favorite past characters and you have a book that you will not want to stop reading.
Heather Slade has done it again with a wonderful story that will pull you in until the last page!

Grit and Lumi’s story is an original one for sure.
Grit and Lumi (Chiara Bianchi) are both working for the K19 Sentinal Cyber team and are paired together for a mission. Grit is the point for this mission, although the team is involved also. Lumi has spent her whole life hiding from the Belcastro Crime Family. Now it is time to take them down. But there is an instant connection between these two that can never take place. Grit has lost one person he loved while working together and he swears to never do that again. How long can the two of them keep denying the intensity between them? This book is full of action, mystery, suspense and love. It’s so worth the read.

This book continues the story of K19’s efforts to take down multiple organized crime families to keep them from filling the gap in the aftermath of Dante’s family being shut down. Lumi is now working with the team, bringing her lifetime of experience monitoring the organized crime world just to keep herself safe. She goes undercover with Grit and is recognized, which leads to efforts to keep her safe, a job Grit takes personally. Another fantastic story with lots of action and intrigue as only Heather Slade can bring!

Wow fantastic story! Grit is scarred mentally about his past but he is very protective and cares about Lumi.
Going undercover Grit has to team up with Lumi as a couple but it seems Lumi's past is as much as past of her as her present.
Lumi and Grit are very well matched. Similar personalities but that connection is fraught with friction, filled with romance that brings them together.
This book was brilliant. Action fast paced and danger at every turn. Lumi and Grit carry the story and that conclusion so good.
Such a great book and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Grit and Chiara/Lumi met at the end of Dante, she's his half sister, she's been hiding her whole life from her mafia boss father, with her mother and Summer.
Now she's joining K19 to help stop the families recovering from the attacks in the previous book.
Lumi is working with Grit to find out as much as they can. He's trying really hard to not act on his attraction for her. He cant forget what happened last time he fell in love, but she's very stubborn and determined to carry on investigating even if there's danger.
As usual a great romantic suspense from Heather.
Now she's joining K19 to help stop the families recovering from the attacks in the previous book.

Wow! Another fantastic story by Heather! This story is about Drake (Grit) and Chiara (Lumi). This couple was unexpected since they met when Dante got a lead on his mother being alive. Their relationship progressed as they try to figure out what was going with the crime families. Lumi discovered who her father was. Towards the end we find out who the bad guys are and who some of the good guys are. It was intense towards the end but now this couple found their happy ending. FANTASTIC job Heather! I would recommend this book!

Lumi is one character that I truly love. She's protective, smart, funny and fierce. Grit is the epitome of a gentleman. He won't cross that line of professional to personal. Great story of all the interconnecting pieces that they were trying to put together. What a family it ended up being. This K19 Sentinel series is fabulous, just like all its predecessors. You always get a great story with Ms. Slade.

Grits is a fantastic book!! If you are looking for something that is going to be a suspenseful, real keep you on your toes, mission impossible meets romance! I felt this kept me locked in, I needed to see who these characters Grit and Lumi were. Why they were so important to their mission. The main story line kept you guessing you had to keep reading to find out who was behind what was going on. You need to read this! I loved it so much!!!

Another great story from Heather Slade.
Lumi & Grit's story is filled with suspense, that some other authors don't seem to come close to.
Lumi has been on the run for as long as she can remember, but now is her time to help in dealing with what needs to be dealt with. she is paired up with Grit, and they now find themselves dealing with chemistry and feelings.
This is a book that you don't want to put down.

"Code Name: Grit" (Special Forces: Operation Alpha / K19 Sentinel Cyber Book 3) by Heather Slade was a great read. I loved 'Lumi' Chiara and "Grit' Drake's story. This story had romance, passion, action, suspense, family, friends, and more. This was a fantastic addition to this series. I am looking forward to reading what happens next. I highly recommend it to all fans of romance, suspense, and series.

What an amazing read. Grit and Lumi’s story grabs you from the first chapter and doesn’t let go till the very end. There are twist and turns to keep you guessing how their relationship will finally come to a happily ever after, plus you still get the dynamic of the team putting in their thoughts. These two are just adorable together. It’s a wonderful page turning read!

Loved Grit and Lumi. Lumi needs help being protected from the Mafia. There are lots of twists and turns and this 3rd book in the series doesn’t disappoint. I was on my toes reading this one. Especially when something happens to Grit, You must read because i won’t say it in the review. Enjoy a great read with a HEA.

I really enjoyed Grit and Lumi's story. Set against a background of the Adirondack Mountains, this story pairs romance with danger and intrigue, them tosses in a surprise twist I didn't see coming!
Grit never expected to find love again, then he found himself partnered up with Lumi as they work to take down dangerous criminals.
