"The completely partially scientifically accurate alphabet book for the children of science and cartoon dinosaur enthusiasts everywhere." Let's face it, it's probably more for the adults than the kids, but this cute and quirky science themed ABC book is great for a laugh and as a awesome gift for science buffs with, or expecting, mini buffs. Disclaimer: No dinosaurs or alpacas were harmed in the making of this book. May contain traces of nuts.

"For as long as I can remember I have loved writing stories and poems. Throughout my school life I filled all my margins with sketches and doodles, I did cute drawings and wrote silly stories and poems for my friends, always handed in three stories when the teacher asked for one, and in my final year I was awarded a scholarship for creative writing.
For some reason it took me a long time to come back to my roots as it were, to take the things I had learned and use them to do the things I love... putting them together with writing stories and creating images to make children's picture books. But I'm here now, and loving it."
This is a fun book. Whether the kids will get the jokes is almost irrelevant. Parents reading it will, and if they have to explain some things then that's adding to the value of the book. Though whether any parent will manage to 'explain' Schrodinger's cat is another question, and managing to tell a child why a chicken appears under D for Dinosaur will keep them both debating for some time, I'd think. (I had to look up the response of seated dinosaur when he was asked if he wanted to hear a joke about Sodium Hypobromite. So I learned something too!) The drawings are simple with a quirky sense of humour. All in all this is a great book for parents (I mean, kids, of course!)
This is a picture book for those children who love science and are smart enough to know words like: helium, neuron, trilobite. This is a must read for those students who are advanced for their age. The pictures are adorable and the words had my grandson running for the dictionary at least one. I would love it as a class book for my 2nd grade class and it would go well in any classroom or for any elementary student.
I thought it was really cute and that they chose good words for each letter. I was disappointed because "S" was not science. I received this book from GoodReads First Reads giveaways.
