Alright now! First read by this author, and I enjoyed the ride. Learning about Emmanuel’s parents helped set the stage for his story. It helped the reader understand Joelle a lot better. Now, Miss Joelle was something else! She is fierce and runs her business with an iron fist, while also smothering her son to death. But, why? I understand that she may be holding on to some grief, but why the hiding and moving? Is something else afoot? Hmmm….

Emmanuel meeting Nahla seemed innocent enough, however, her sweet presence pulled at him making him feel things he never has before. She knew she should probably stay away from him, but she felt the pull as well. As soon as they got into an easy groove, enemies are discovered, ghosts of the past emerge, and secrets began to tumble out of closets. I knew it, Kilo!! 🤯 Damn, what happens now? That ending left Emmaneul about to lose his mind! Whew…. Looking forward to the next installment. 👍🏾👍🏾

Candy Moore is always a fun read. Just for pure fun the song Love. × Kendrick was all up in my ear while reading. It's a song that brings up chill vibes and the rush of first digging someone; that edged idea of the unfurling beginning of love.

Here we have Emmanuel, a little rude, a little disrespectful with his mouth, but family dude falling into good vibes, chill, getting to know the sexy glasses wearing librarian. Nahla is a little shy with a smidgen of mouthy.

We get to watch their falling into like progress through vibe remote control panties, KittyCatLicking in parking lots, fingering in movie theaters & bondage kink tease which made this one hell of a way to kick off my personal ReadCaribbean challenge 😊

Joelle fell for Brick and her parents didn’t like it they were very strict so she was forbidden to be involved with him. After she gave birth to his son and they got married he was murdered. She then stepped into the role of Queen-pin. She moved every few years to not drawn any attention to them. Emmanuel was 18 years old and had fallen in love with a librarian. Their world starts to crumble when someone lied and had another drug crew beefing with them. People getting shot and they were still trying to find out who did this. Then all the people of her Joelle’s past resurface.

I read this book previously under a different title, which I had in my library for a while. I couldn't find the title on Goodreads to add to my read books. It also has a second part: *A Dangerous Thug Captured My Heart*. I really enjoyed this book. I read parts one and two. I just wanted to leave this comment in case someone else was confused, like myself.
