For over a century the members of two families - the Dumbrill and Spencer families - graced the Wyoming prairie, and left behind stories of courage, love, music, laughter and tears. Music was a gift Mary Spencer and Harold Dumbrill gave to their families. In 1910, Mary's rosewood piano traveled from Michigan to Wyoming, and stayed in its crate with the keyboard exposed, while the family worked to establish a homestead. (Dr. Christine Gillette's book, A Story Nearly Histories of a Wyoming Homestead tells much more about the Spencer and Dumbrill families and their homesteading experience.) Sadly, five out of the six family authors featured here are now gone, yet their words live on to bless and encourage us. The six family authors represented in this volume Fern Spencer Dumbrill, Harold Ray Dumbrill, Lucille Clarke Dumbrill, Charles Floyd Spencer, Mary Dumbrill Pringle, and Richard Spencer Dumbrill. This book is published in a color print version under the " Volume One".
