Ravage

Rate this book
When paramedic Cam is called to a remote mansion on the outskirts of Brisbane, he expects a routine emergency—not an invitation into a world of shadowed corridors, whispered secrets, and decadent temptations. Behind the doors of Dark Desires, an exclusive club where pleasure is their business and nothing is off-limits, he’s drawn into something far more intoxicating than he’s ready for. And at the heart of it all is Imogen—the club’s striking, self-possessed Director of Operations, whose charismatic presence unravels him from the moment they meet. Cam came to save a life. He didn’t expect to lose himself in the process.

Imogen has everything she wants—on her terms. Her arrangement with Sebastian, the enigmatic and dangerously charming owner of the club, satisfies in every way that matters. Her bond with Annika—equal parts loyalty, intimacy, and desire—grounds her. Love? That’s a risk she buried long ago. But when Cam crashes into her world during a members-only night, something shifts. He’s raw. Real. Unapologetically drawn to her in a way that threatens the carefully curated balance of her life.

Imogen never planned to choose. And she’s not sure she wants to. But desire doesn’t play by the rules—and the deeper she falls into Cam, the more she risks breaking apart everything she's built... and maybe, finally, herself.

Unholy in the most sexiest way. If you want amazing spice and fantastic plot around character development, you need this. You absolutely need an open mind while reading, it may even make you question your own desires. Cam exploring his sexuality throughout the book is done so well, especially that certain office scene... and a certain blindfold scene hehe. Imogen discovering that she can have a healthy relationship while maintaining her current way of life is such a deserved ending for her.
Super Spicy, Super Sexy, Super Sinful in all the best ways

After reading Reckless, I was already captivated by the world Antoinette W. May created. But Ravage? It took everything to a whole new level. The emotional depth, the intricate character development, and the sizzling chemistry between Cam and Imogen had me hooked from the first page.

Set in a luxurious club on the outskirts of Brisbane, the story felt incredibly close to home, adding an extra layer of excitement for me as a fellow Aussie. The way the characters navigated their past traumas and found solace in each other was both heart-wrenching and heartwarming. And let's talk about the spice—intense, passionate, and beautifully written.

Ravage isn't just a steamy romance; it's a deep dive into healing, trust, and the complexities of human connection. Antoinette W. May has outdone herself, and I can't wait to see where the Dark Desires series goes next.

Whew 😅 🌶️ what a spicy spicy read that was.

I absolutely adored the romance in this. Yes, it was spicy. But it was also deeply romantic and adorable. Which is really a talent to be able to balance those 2 things.

And Cam. Omg Cam. What an absolute gem of a man he is!! I love him so much.

If you’re wanting a really spicy read that also has great plot, this is for you.

I thoroughly enjoy this 💕

Thank you so much Antoinette W. May 💗 I can’t wait for the next books!

Okay, wow. I just finished Ravage, and I need a cold shower, a stiff drink, and maybe five business days to recover. Should you read this book? It’s the kind of read that slinks into your brain, sets up camp, and refuses to leave.

What Hooked Me:

🔥 The "Oh, So That’s What I’m Into" Factor – You know when a book makes you question your own boundaries? Yeah, this one does that. The way it explores desire, without shame, without apology—is everything. Cam, our sweet, out-of-his-depth paramedic, stumbling into this world of high-class hedonism? Iconic. His slow unravelling as he gives in to temptation? Perfection.

💬 Open Relationships Done Right – No weird jealousy tropes, no cheap drama, just honest, messy, real connections. Imogen’s relationship with Sebastian and Annika is complicated in the best way, and when Cam crashes into the picture? The tension is palpable. You’ll be screaming at the pages, "JUST KISS ALREADY, or, you know, do more."

🌶️ The Spice. Oh God, the Spice. – Listen, if you’re here for slow-burn, chaste romance… maybe grab a different book. This one? Zero chill. The chemistry between Cam and Imogen is off-the-charts electric, and the scenes are filthy in the most delicious way. Think "fanning yourself on public transit" levels of hot.

If you’re into romance that’s equal parts steamy and emotional, with characters who feel like they could walk right off the page, Ravage is your next obsession.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 "I’ll-never-look-at-a-paramedic-the-same-way-again" stars)

Now excuse me while I go reread certain scenes for… research purposes. 😏

The Dark Desires series is not for the faint of heart, in the best possible way. As the title suggests, it dives deep into the rawest and most complex layers of human desire. It explores a wide spectrum of relationships, dynamics, and experiences, embracing the beauty and diversity of all kinds of connections.

Ravage brings us into Cam and Imogen's story, a passionate, intense, and emotionally layered journey. Cam leans into his deepest desires, while Imogen finds herself navigating matters of the heart and identity, caught between two vastly different worlds. Their story pulses with tension, vulnerability, and growth.

As their lives begin to intertwine, and as side characters come into focus, I found myself deeply invested in their emotional arcs. The chemistry between Cam and Imogen is magnetic, but it’s their willingness to be seen by each other that made the connection feel meaningful. I especially appreciated the presence of Imogen’s friends, whose loyalty and care added warmth and grounding to the narrative.

One of the standout elements of this book, and the series as a whole, is the author's consistent and respectful handling of consent. In a story rich with sensuality and emotional depth, it’s affirming to see clear, enthusiastic consent prioritised throughout. Despite the intensity of the spice, it always feels integrated into the emotional and narrative fabric of the story, rather than overshadowing it.

This series doesn’t shy away from the messy, complex, and powerful nature of desire, and Ravage is a standout example of that. I’m eager to see where the story leads next.

I received this book as an ARC, but this review is completely voluntary and reflects my own experience with the book.

Character development mixed with several different versions of a love story has the next book in the Dark Desires Series a pleasure to read. Add in the spice and it’s just 😘 **chefs kiss

We return to Dark Desires where Imogen has been working for 2 years. This time due to a medical emergency with one patron we meet paramedic Cam.

From the second they see each other Imogen and Cam are both intrigued by each other. An attraction is clear. Nothing can happen though. The attraction can’t go any further than that… attraction. Can it?

Imogen certainly couldn’t let it go any further. She’s happy with her life. She has a great job, she is secure and finally is living her life her way.

Not to mention she has her bond with Sebastian and Annika that both keeps her satisfied sexually and grounds her all in one, she has no time nor need for love and feelings.

Cam is intrigued with the beautiful brunette who works in the exclusive club. He has to find a way to see her again. Then an opportunity presents itself for him to do exactly that. And he takes it.

What happens next is Imogen letting down her walls and letting Cam in. But she’s scared. She’s scared her life as it is will be done as she’s not sure Cam will accept hers, Sebastian’s and Annika’s unorthodox “relationship” and that’s not something she’s willing to give up.

As she lets down those walls and starts to fall for Cam and vice versa they both dive into experiences they both never thought they’d be in… but will their love survive???

Add into that in the final chapter a little sneak peek into the premise for the next book. Hooked.

Things are heating up!

Whew…it may be winter here, but this book certainly heats things right up! This super spicy story is about a private club that focuses on pleasure. Most of the main characters were introduced in the prequel novella Reckless but it isn’t essential reading.

The focus of this story is a budding relationship between a club employee and a paramedic who attends a call-out at the club. For all that this book is, it gives a surprisingly deep dive into the logistics of the relationship and navigating the challenges they face.

If you read this book, you do so with the understanding that the cover is the door. Once you open the book, there’s nothing to prevent the inevitable steam burns. *Eveything* is out in the open.

There’s more to come in this series and future stories have been set up nicely in this book. If you want a lot of spice and some plot on the side, grab this spicy read and enjoy the heat.

Just Finished Ravage by Antoinette May!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I don’t even know where to start because… this book made me melt in the best possible way.🔥 I went in expecting spice, and believe me, there was. But what I didn’t expect was to be so emotionally entwined in the world of Dark Desires.I had to put the book down for a second and just breathe.

The Characters are filled with raw, unfiltered emotion, and you can definitely feel the tension and chemistry between Cam and Imogen. There were so many good spicy moments you could just melt right into the scene.

Ravage is erotic, yes. But it has many layers unraveling in vulnerability and emotion. The book showed me what it means to want more even when you already thought you already figured what you want out. If you want a book that is both emotionally vulnerable and spicy this book is for you!

Ravage is an erotic romance with lots of letter combinations. MF FF MM MMFF
After reading the novella introducing Dark Desires I was excited for this book and it did not disappoint. The characters are fun and I really enjoyed the premise. The spice scenes are well written and very hot. The use of consent and safety are nicely intertwined as the standard and not an afterthought. My rating came down a little as the pacing got a bit slow in the middle of the story. The miscommunication trope brought the vibe of the female MC down for me which took me out of the story but once that was resolved it picked back up and I cleaned up the rest of the book quickly.

I would recommend as an easy read as there is no heavy plot but lots of hot people doing spicy things.

When the spice is the plot and the plot is REAL.

I am speechless, and for me that's a big fucking deal.

I LOVED Reckless, and I am over the moon for Ravage. I can tell right now that this series is going to ruin me (see what I did there?).

First off, Im just going to cut to the chase. The heat. You will be burned. Nuclear HOT. The MC chemistry? OFF THE CHARTS, wholesome AF and REAL. I can't express enough the beauty of the humanity that Antoinette has given these characters.

Oh, and don't even get me started on the obviously simmering greater plot that has me on edge.

20/10. If this series isn't on your radar, it needs to be.

"For the ones brave enough to turn the page, curious eough to crave more and bold enough to let your fantasies run wild. This book is your permission to blush, to ache, to give up control... and come back for more... over and over again."

Ravage is sexy as sin, and I'm all for it! It has a bit of everything from self discovery, a story line that keeps you intrigued, and spice that keeps spicing! I'm still trying to work out if I'm Team Sebastian or Team Cam, or both....
The ending..... I need more... I need answers....

Ravage by Antoinette W. May

I was sooo excited for the release of this book, and let me tell you… it did NOT disappoint!! I already loved the characters from the first book, but then in comes Cam—the sweet and smoking hot paramedic with a dark and dirty side?! Ummm yes please 🥵🔥

That scene in the office?? 😮‍💨 IYKYK. Whew.

This book brought the heat but also had me literally laughing out loud. I am OBSESSED with Annika—she’s hilarious and such a scene-stealer! I’m already counting down the days until we get her story… I just know it’s going to be wild and emotional and totally binge-worthy 🙊

And don’t even get me started on the mystery woman reveal… I need answers IMMEDIATELY 😭

If you’re into steamy romance with great banter, unforgettable characters, and just the right amount of drama—Ravage is a MUST-READ. Antoinette W. May has me hooked, and I’m not going anywhere.

I didn’t know that cosy smüṯ was a sub-genre and I also didn’t know how much I would LOVE ITTTTTT!!!

The relationships and intimacy are the plot - and it’s so delightful!! Nothing is gratuitous or over the top, and everyone is just so gorgeous and safe and attractive and generous *wink*

Strongly endorse this contemp series that explores free love, but all the different kinds of love in a super cosy and safe way!!

Thank you to the author for an advanced reader’s copy of Ravage! All views are entirely my own.

FIVE STAR VIBES. I WAS HOOKED IN.

This book is based around our FMC who works at a sex club and has 2 casual play mates 😏 She then meets our MMC and has to navigate the life she loves and her growing feelings for him.

Because of the setting of this book there is a very heavy theme of sex and spice in this book but it doesn't feel repetitive or cringey. It's hot, confident and a great representation of how the typical monogamous relationship doesn't work for everyone! I flew through this book & am already excited for book 2!

2025:

Dedication: For the ones brave enough to turn the page, curious enough to crave more, and bold enough to let your fantasies run wild.

This book was not at all what I was expecting and I loved every minute of it.
The balance of spice and character/relationship development was perfect.
I really loved how the MMC's sexual awakening was handled - sensitive and natural.
I cannot wait to continue reading this series and hopefully finding out more info about our oh so loveable side characters.

This book is amazing and gives you a look into a messy and complex desire. I couldn’t put it down since I picked it up! Antoinette has done a beautiful job ensuring that consent is provided along the way, especially given to immense amount of spice!

This book is full of a beautiful story mixed with a lot of spice, growth, vulnerability, and tension especially as they navigate having come from two different backgrounds. I definitely don’t recommend reading this in public. It’s an open door romance involving a sexy paramedic. Definitely cannot wait to read more!

Well, this was spicy as can be! If you're a fan of erotic romance, this is for you. This is a story of finding yourself, sexually for one of them, and emotionally for the other!

Cam and Imogen and their developing relationship are the core of the story but many other characters make the story interesting and it is very well set up for the next book (which I'm really looking forward to!)

I received this e-ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review and all thoughts are my own!

This is fun, this is sweet, but overall? This is HOT!

Ravage is based in a Brisbane shmex club and the concept is delightfully steamy. I loved the queer rep, and the mix of heart, plot, and spice that AWM was able to balance so well.

These characters have my heart in the best way, they’re all so well thought out, and the author does a fabulous jb of showing and not telling- which is always a good thing!

The hints to the next book already have me DYING for more!

Dark Desiers club is where it all start for Cam and Imogen, they just didn't know it yet. Set in Brisbane’s most exclusive pleasure club you can expect delicious scenes with MF FF MM MMFF MFM. This isn't your typical romance either. It’s raw, seductive, and emotionally intense.

With Cam’s soulful vulnerability and Imogen's conflicted heart, I was hooked.

Ravage begins two years after the prequel novella, Reckless.

Imogen is at work and a medical emergency with a client brings Cam the paramedic into the story. Imogen and Cam are instantly drawn to each other. But are their lives too different to make it work?

This is one spicy read 🥵 with MF, FF, MM, MMF, and more, this book has a little of everything. And Cam and Sebastian are the hottest MMCs!

I love every single character, the story, the setting, all the things! This book isn’t even out yet and I’m already wanting more and dreaming of what the next books could be 🤭

I can’t wait to see what Antoinette May will give us next!
