A Collection of Fairy Tales: Volume I

Rate this book
Six girls in New Jersey have been living the lives of fairy tales. The first is Red Rose, whose stepmother tries to kill her with a poison apple. Then there’s Ashley-Bella, whose stepmother abuses her and forces her to clean up after herself and her two daughters. Then there’s Laura, who falls under a sleeping curse. Then Aryanna, who was born as a mermaid but longs to see the human world. Then Megan, a girl whose boyfriend is apparently a god and his stepmother forces her to do twelve seemingly impossible tasks. Then Alice, who falls down a rabbit hole as a little girl and gets sucked into a looking glass in the present. But as these girls live out six different stories, an ancient evil is stirring.

About the author

Erynn Butler

3 books1 follower
Erynn Butler has always been a storyteller, even before she could properly talk. Writing gave her a way to express herself. It gave her the time to think about her words, the time to go back and rewrite something, and the ability to reflect on what she was feeling or how she was processing the world.

Erynn Butler self-published her debut book, The Queen of Myleria, in December of 2023. This book, a coming-of-age story with a princess's prophecy, was originally her senior thesis while attending University of the Arts. Her second book, A Collection of Fairy Tales: Volume I, shows modern retellings of six fairy tales and came out in May 2025.
