One of them is spiraling after uncovering his wife's affair. The other is on a mission to party until he dies. Together, they find hope, heartbreak, friendship, and traces of a whirlwind romance that came far too late to save either of them.
---“She came along and snatched you up and suddenly she was your world. And I was nothing.”

“You were never nothing.”

“I’d dare you to turn back time and insist on that. But if we could do that we probably wouldn't be here at all. We'd be back then, fixing what's already too late to fix,” there was a whine in his voice as he said it, a shy sliver of immense grief leaking out from a shaky whimper.

I gave him a moment to breathe, and gave myself the time to collect my thoughts.

“I'm sorry. You know I'd change it if I could.”

“It's too late to even say you would. What's it mean to me now? What's it gonna help?” he looked at me, and shook his head, “You rejected me. You all did. My father. You. Julie. Brett. My entire family. Every man I ever thought I could love after you. At least with you, when I'm gone, you might be the one person who will care.”

great read!

Pretty good book. If you’re into LGBTQ+ material I would give it a recommendation. Best enjoyed with a beer :)

This is the first of the 2 books This then Jade Eagle. The books are made for the LGBT community and erotic plot. It has friendship, depressed and relationships related to the life of the mid adult community. I enjoyed Jade Eagle but wish I read this one first. Read Ruby Bird first for sure.
