You would think that after you had saved the world that you could be confident that your hardships and adventure type shenanigans would be put to bed, but no! He! Him! And other singular pronouns that sound sinister are hunting Nigal, Mikey, not so much Sandra and Malik but for the sake of argument and drama we will say that he is, that’s like a generic he by the way not a gender affirming one.
Add into the mix a pirate squid-type person that’s also an alien, and an Ai robot that’s like a normal robot but in a time when we know what AI really is, so it’s a bit more real than it used to be and not really as futuristic, which sucks a bit, but here we are.
Simon carr is, well he is me, hello. I write comedy Sci-fi and horror books. I started writing in 2018. I am severely dyslexic, on the very high end of the scale. So, writing a book was just me being defiant really, doing something I ought never to have been capable of doing.
I really enjoyed writing my first book, Space And Stuff, so I carried on writing. That makes it sound a lot simpler than it was, but after a lot of learning and editing; so much editing! And going through proofreaders at a rate of knotts, I got my books to a standard that only made a few grammar Nazis heads explode; so it will have to do.
I am from Blackburn in the UK, born in the summer of 1976. I have actually won three awards for my books, I know! I was as surprised as you are. If perfect grammar is your thing then you might want to give them a miss, but if you like satire and goofy scenarios I might be what you have been looking for.
I really like this book. But, it is a drastic change from early Simon Carr works and, this seems strange to write considering the book, it isn't quite as much fun as some of his more recent works. Nigel and Mickey are the Control Spark in human form. The Control Spark is what unites all the atoms of the Universe into their various objects. The Entity is hunting for them. If he finds them it is like matter and antimatter coming together, it will result in the mutual destruction of the universe and maybe all the multiverses. I cannot describe much but suffice it to say, most of the story follows Sandra and Malik and, eventually, a squid-like alien that is a space pirate and ends all his dialog with "Aye!". Maybe the fact that Nigel and Mickey are missing through most of the book and the way this affects Sandra and Malik is why it isn't as fun a story. It is very well put together and is still a goofy Simon Carr story but maybe this is a sophomore slump for this particular series. It is a solid 4.5 stars for me.
Audiobook: I was very entertained by this story. I liked the characters and the unusual creatures which populated the tale. I was amused by the clever quips and some of the events which occurred. It seemed to me that this story had a little more serious aura than some of the other books by this author. I thought Joseph P. Ergle Sr's narration was good, and I appreciated the various voices he performed; however, there were times where he repeated or restarted a line in the text. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
That pretty much fits this book. From its incomprehensible dialogue to its strange beings and the whole matter, anti-matter thing going on, it definitely not the normal type of book I would read, but I have to admit, it is definitely entertaining and I can’t wait to read more of Simon Carr’s works!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Worried about robotic clones? Set aside two days for this hilarious, fast-paced, action-packed, interdimensional, paranormal, abduction space opera adventure featuring aliens, dragons, laugh-out-loud humor, mystery, portals, rescue, satire, science fiction, and the supernatural. Safe for young adults, it is the second in a series but can stand alone.

I really enjoyed this book. It isn’t a genre I usually read, however, this was beyond what I had expected. It was entertaining as well as scary. It was fun and fast paced at times. It is a literary work of art given the material and the creativity that this author showed in its creation. I look forward to possibly reading more from this author.
This is not what I read but I read the first one I had to see what weird and mess up situation. Nigel was gonna get into this time. I will say I’m glad to see moppy still doing his thing.
A space adventure awaits Nigel and his friends in another weird and funny and strange book full of Giant seagull, alien squid things and Space pirates and frog bots… I want me a frog bot
Another installment of Simon Carr's irreverent humour. A sci-fi tale with plenty of laugh out loud moments and crazy plot elements. Narration is better than average on the audiobook
