Why Must I Have A Why?: The Struggle For Individual Meaning In A Nation That Worships The Collective

Rate this book
What if the search for meaning is itself the root of suffering? What if the relentless pursuit of a grand purpose is nothing more than a mirage—an illusion designed to keep us running in circles?

In Why Must I Have a Why?, the narrator embarks on a deeply personal, often unsettling journey through existential doubt, societal expectations, and the absurdity of human ambition. This is not a book that offers easy answers or comforting affirmations. Instead, it rips through the facades of success, happiness, and purpose, exposing the raw contradictions that define modern existence.

Blending dark humor with piercing introspection, the narrative unfolds like a diary of disillusionment, questioning everything—from the corporate rat race to the suffocating weight of family, love, and identity. It is a book for those who have ever felt trapped in a life scripted by others, for those who have dared to What if there is no greater why?

Brutally honest and profoundly thought-provoking, Why Must I Have a Why? is a literary revolt against the tyranny of meaning, an unflinching exploration of what it means to exist without apology.

A strong commentry on the society we live in. Makes one look deeper within themselves and understand what is freedom for them, and what it to live in today's day and time, particularly in India.
