Phil's plane plunges into the Irish Sea but instead of drowning, a portal propels him and a bunch of survivors to a new world, where they become the hunted.
Fortunately, Phil never backs out of a fight. Perhaps that’s why Fate chooses him and converts him into a Druid. He worries about rescuing his fellow survivors and taking the fight to the monsters, goblins and orcs who keep coming for them. When he finds out who’s behind the attacks, he vows a merciless revenge.
But Fate isn’t finished with him yet, because there's a unique mystery to this fantasy world.
First off, fantastic books, plots, and characters. All the that was fantastic. But i felt personally the book read weird, the flow with very jumpy and jittery. I found myself having to reread stuff a lot because we just jumped from one thing to the next with no indication. It's a minor thing and probably not something most readers even realize or care about, but I know some are like me, and it really prevents you from getting into the book properly. Still overall even with that, it was a great book, and I will read the next one.
Very different mechanics than tradition RPG's, that's a plus. Yet overly detailed explanation take away from the flow of the story. Also to much repetition of the entire stat sheet. Also takes away the flow of the story. The complete stat sheet is 1/2 or less of the size most frequently found yet still page size which is why it interferes with a smooth read. It's also done often enough that it pad's the book length by 3-5 %.
I like the MC. He is not the “perfect guy”. He messes up. Sticks his foot in his mouth. But that makes him easier to like. Really like the setting and the other characters. Kinda sad he didn’t find Lexi in the first book. But overall, I thought it was a great book. Good job!
First off, this is harem. So if that's not your cup of tea, then this might not be the book for you. Yes, there is spice, but it is not shoehorned in there.
An entertaining mixture of fighting and ducking. A lot of introspection and doubt on the heroes part. Pure stubbornness pulls him through, with a little help from his friends.
