Henry Allen "Harry" Ironside (October 14, 1876-January 15, 1951) was a Canadian-American Bible teacher, preacher, theologian, pastor, and author.
Ironside was one of the most prolific Christian writers of the 20th Century and published more than eighty books and pamphlets, many of which are still in print. As an editorial reviewer wrote of a 2005 republication, "Ironside's commentaries are a standard and have stood the test of time."
I so enjoyed Ironside's thoughts as he explains the letters of John and Jude in simple and profound application terms. Ironsides shows us how God loves us and wants us to stay faithful and obedient to our calling in teaching the gospel. Ironside also gives us such encouragement as he always keeps the Lord Jesus Christ as the Center of his teachings.

I have enjoyed other books by this author and this one was no exception. My only qualms with this one was Ironside's choice of the J.N. Darby translation as the text for the epistle of Jude, his correction of the King James Version on p. 178, and his doubt regarding the genuineness of 1st John 5:7. But these not withstanding, I would certainly read more of his works in the future.
