The Beast
So, I'm giving this one a 3.65* It was okay. The general premise was good and I liked the character of Steven - who's suddenly curious about what his friend is packing. I was a little surprised that both MC'S just jumped right in, but the guess that's part of the idea. Lucas seems to jump from straight to "something more" pretty quickly and I would have liked a little more introspection on his part, but, again, it was part of the plot. I definitely liked the epilogue and seeing that they got their HEA. My only real complaint is that I wish there was more because just as I'm getting into the story and characters, it's over! Lol Lucas Blaze is great at short erotica and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

The sex in this was hot. Dirty talking, bodies slapping, scream into a pillow hot. Unrealistic in the way erotica can be, but scorching to imagine.
But that's not all! Steven, our main character and POV for the story, and Luke, his "gifted" friend, are written to be more than sex. The premise is far-fetched and Amelia, the mutual friend who couldn’t handle Luke and sets everything in motion, is a bit heavyhanded, but I don't care. It's friends to lovers with a heat and sweetness I love to find in quick lil stories like this.

Na de woorden van een vriendin kan Steven het niet laten om zelf te ontdekken hoe groot Luke is. Daarna kan hij hem niet meer uit zijn hoofd krijgen.
Voor een kort verhaal een fijne built up naar het steamy moment tussen de twee. Wat ik ook fijn vind is de epilogue die een blik jn de toekomst geeft.

I loved that he was doing his own research just to end up being the guy that was being crushed on the whole time. Like Amelia said “it’s fated”. I guess you never know who really likes you if you don’t open up to the possibilities. Her saying no when it wouldn’t have worked out for them anyways. I guess you just never know.

intriguing
Steven and Luke story was an intriguing read from beginning to end. I thought it flowed well. I can’t wait to see what happens next in the collection.
