My name is Lottie Lemon, and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owner’s impending doom. This time, Las Vegas has me seeing stars—and not just on the Strip. When the prestigious Flavor Frenzy cooking competition invites me to compete in the Sin City Sugar Showdown, I’m packing up my whisks, my twins, and my two-year-old for the sweetest opportunity of my career. With the chance to be crowned America’s Premier Baker and score a national distribution deal for my signature treats, and the publication of my cookbook how could I say no?
Of course, when half of Honey Hollow decides to tag along—including Everett, Noah, and unfortunately Carlotta—what should be a professional trip quickly turns into a glittering family vacation under the neon lights.
But when an Elvis impersonator takes his final bow face-down in one my award-winning treats, I realize a killer just upped the ante. With my spatula in one hand and my sleuthing skills in the other, I’ll need to figure out who’s dealing from the bottom of the deck before I become the next victim cashing in their chips. Visiting in Vegas could be just as deadly as living in Honey Hollow.

Where Lottie Lemon goes, chaos usually follows. This is especially true when she travels with her family and half of Honey Hollow to Las Vegas for the Flavor Frenzy competition. Lottie is entering the Sin City Sugar Showdown, while biological sister, Charlie, will be showcasing her savory skills. Adopted sister, Meg, is bringing out her Mad Madge the Badge wrestling persona for a triumphant return to the ring. Then there’s the assorted husbands and best friends to cheer them all on. And of course, the grandparents to watch the Honey Hollow three and under bunch, including Lyla Nell and Lottie’s month old twins. When a ghostly Elvis impersonator shows up, Lottie knows a body won’t be far behind. But this time, she’s not the only one tripping over them. Noah gets in on the act when he finds a man he was seen arguing with earlier. He doesn’t help his case when he won’t come clean to Lottie and Everett about his ties to the dead man. Lottie wants to keep Lyla Nell’s daddy out of jail, so she’s got to solve two murders with post-partum sleep deprivation while baking award winning treats.
Addison Moore is a master at combining chaos and clues in her cozy mysteries. The sights and sounds of Sin City are described so well that you feel like you’re there. And the food descriptions always make my mouth water. Lyla Nell shines as she takes control of the Lemon day care and is adorable as she pretends to nurse “her” twins. The spa scene is epic ridiculousness with each character’s different reactions highlighting their personalities. Carlotta’s shenanigans are over the top as always as she pursues a lounge lizard and burns through her winnings. Everett’s surprise brings the trip to a heartfelt and hilarious end.

Lottie and what seems like all of the gang (family and friends) from Honey Hollow invade Las Vegas for the Flavor Frenzy cooking competition. I love that everyone is there to support Lottie and Charlie as they compete in different divisions. But we all know what happens when Lottie is around ….. a dead body appears, but in this case she has rubbed off on Noah, and not only does she discover the dead body of one of the bakers, Noah finds the dead body of an Elvis impersonator – one he had been seen fighting with. Ray Ray, an Elvis impersonator knows both of the victims and has come back to help Lottie investigate especially because Noah has ended up as a prime suspect. Ray Ray is such a fun ghost. I really enjoyed him helping Lottie. Also Noah seems to be keeping a big secret from Lottie and Everett. Can Lottie help figure out who murdered the victims and clear Noah’s name and convince him to share his secret? Let me just say, I had no doubt in Lottie’s abilities, but the ride the author takes you on throughout the book is just so much fun and you can’t help but laugh especially when it comes to Carlotta and her shenanigans! I want to go to Las Vegas with Lottie and the gang – it seems like they had so much fun even with the two murders!
This book can be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend starting from the beginning and read all of them. I think by doing so, you will enjoy this book even more because you have the back story of all the characters and you will appreciate the story even more.

Murder and Marzipan in Las Vegas is book 54 of the Murder in the Mix series. Although this is part of a series it is also able to be read as a stand alone if you just found this series. Each book builds on the storyline and the characters but has a new adventures each book. This series takes place in Honey Hollow and focuses around Lottie Lemon a small town bakery owner that has a little quirk. She can see the dead and a history of stumbling on dead bodies then solving the murder’s mystery. Although this series focuses on Honey Holly, this time we are getting a Las Vegas treat. Lottie and Charlie have entered a cookie competition and Meg is in a wrestling competition. So the entire gang has packed up and flown to Vegas to have a blast. Little did they know that they wouldn’t be leaving the stumbling over dead bodies behind. Lottie finds the first body then Noah stumbles on the next. Which not only leave Lottie competing for the best baker but against time to find the killer. This book is full of laughs and Carlotta’s shenanigans as well as several potential killers. Will Lottie be able to solve the murder in time or will the competition throw a monkey wrench into her plan?.
Lottie Lemon in a fix with murder in the mix. Well she’s competing in the Sin City Sugar Showdown so it could get sticky and a kind of icky that’s understood when faced with blood…Flavor Frenzy invited her see. It’s America’s most prestigious and delicious to find yourself Miss America, well ok American Premier Baker tag is not such a drag now it it but what is the requisite because this one got killed in the mix . That’s not how Lottie and her children are fixed to deal to get the national distribution deal for doling out her signature sugary treats. But how could she say no indeed. She must solve this case whiskly …I mean quickly indeed . She can communicate with the dead can our intrepid sleuth ..well not quite that’s an untruth but their deceased pets ? That’s a yes..It’s Honey Hollow but not as we know it because it’s taking us to Las Vegas to show it. Brilliant as ever by Addison Moore who deserves an encore or three as this immersive fun story made me so happy indeed to read.
What happens in Vegas... - Another madcap murder caper with Lottie smack dab in the center. This time she does see dead people, the victim's father appearing to help solve his offspring's case. Between wrangling her three children and her out-of-control parents (Carlotta is triply extra), taking care of her men (Everett is so understanding) and baking her tastiest treats, Lottie investigates two untimely deaths. Just another Tuesday in the life of Lottie Lemon, premiere baker and amateur sleuth. Vegas won't be the same after the Honey Hollow crew leaves. A whirlwind of a tale that was such a pleasure to experience.

Lottie, Everett, and Noah, along with what seems like all their relatives are in Las Vegas. Lottie was invited to participate in a Baking Competition. There are lots of very talented bakers from all over the country. Lottie is making her famous Honey Hollow Cinnamon Rolls and really wants to win the competition. Unfortunately, there's a glitch. One of the bakers was murdered! Lottie is determined to solve the crime while also trying to win the competition. There are some twists and turns and it seems that Noah is possibly involved. Can Lottie solve the crime in time to clear Noah's name?? I think you'll enjoy this trip to Las Vegas as much as I did!
Las Vegas may never be the same again after Lottie Lemon and her quirky family descends on the town for a cooking competition. Murder seems to follow Lottie everywhere and the competition is no different. When a fellow competitor is found dead the first day, the investigation is on! Then there's a second Murder and Noah becomes the prime suspect! Add to all that, there's Elvis impersonators, spa adventures and, of course, Carlotta! The whole time I'm trying to figure out who the killer is, I can't stop laughing! Lottie certainly has her hands full! Yep, Las Vegas will never be the same!

This is book 54 of the Murder in the Mix series. Addison Moore has done it again with another hilarious and entertaining cozy mystery. This one is set in Las Vegas for a baking competition. Lottie investigates two untimely deaths and is determined to solve the crime to clear Noah's name while also trying to win the competition. When it comes to Carlotta and her shenanigans I can't stop laughing, she's such a hoot. I definitely recommend reading this book. As usual I look forward to reading more from Addison Moore.

Lottie heads to Las Vegas to enter a baking contest. She travels with the whole crew, kids , nanna and all. Nanna is a pip adding humor to the story. An Elvis impersonator dies and Lottie has to figure out who the murderer is. It is Vegas after all. Nanna wins big, her husband looses all he came with. I love the characters and the situations they all fall into. I actually laughed out loud and my family just shook their heads. Addison Moore always bring laughter my way thru her books.
The gang from Honey Hollow, young and old alike, is in Las Vegas, where Lottie is competing in the Sin City Sugar Showdown. Of course, Lottie can’t do anything without a ghost or a corpse making an appearance, Everett and Noah will always protect her, and Carlotta will always be outrageous.
It’s another story filled with ghostly adventure, humor, and mystery. I received a free copy, but my review is honest and voluntary.
Murder and Marzipan in Las Vegas Book 54 of MURDER IN THE MIX by Addison Moore is a hilariously quirky cozy. Lottie, the townspeople of Honey Hollow and Las Vegas make for a very interesting story that I couldn't put down! It amazes me after so many books in this series how Ms. Moore keeps it fresh and funny, love it!

Lottie is in Vegas for a baking contest with her family. The ghost is the most unusual one in the series There are plenty of motives and suspects. Noah acts suspiciously and avoids Lottie's questions. I like the humor. I give this 4 stars because I'm not a big Elvis fan , and there are a lot of Elvis impersonators in the story. Also , I find Noah irritating by calling Lottie his wife when she's not. I like this series.
This series combines some of my favorite story elements. It has danger, romance, baking, and fun. The stories in this series are always intriguing, the characters are always entertaining, and the writing is flawless. This book was no different than the others in the series. It left me craving more from Lottie and the gang. I look forward to reading many more adventures that involve Lottie and her band of 'misfits'.
I read all of Addison Moore's delightful series. But I have to say I was disappointed in this book. It seemed incoherent and jumped about with wild abandon. Even the surprise ending didn't fix it. While all the normal e!ements were there, they seemed to come from 3 different narratives. And I must say that Carlotta has not only "jumped the shark" but has crushed it with much "sound and fury" and outrageous behavior that adds nothing beneficial.
Lottie and the crazy crew (plus babies!) are in Vegas for a baking competition and get embroiled in another murder mystery when one of the competitors is killed. A load of laughs, a few suspects (with Noah as no 1) - a really good read, keeping you entertained from page one to the end. Loved it.
What a hilarious story! Noah is in the hot seat in this book. Lottie is investigating amidst baking for a competition, dealing with a precocious two year old and newborn twins. I will say that the Spa incident had me rolling on the floor trying to breathe! Oh, but that was FUNNY! I can’t wait to find out what Lottie gets up to next!
Murder and Marzipan in Las Vegas: Murder in the mix book 54
Historical is one word for this double murder mystery. The characters are fantastic and I can picture the caps of a roomful of under the age of 3 with two adults. Never a dual moment.
Another captivating narrative that brilliantly continues the exceptional storytelling within this remarkable series, leaving readers thoroughly enchanted and eagerly anticipating the next installment.
Another murder or two. Everett is a saint. I would kill Noah. Noah needs to back off and get a girlfriend. Lottery needs to let Noah go. It us not fair to Everett or the kids. Great story.
