Kitty, Mouse, Monkey, Giraffe, Rabbit, and Dog are six very best friends. They each live in their own little home and do lots of things together. Animal Square is a place full of friendship, happiness, and caring. Come join in the fun! Rabbit is hungry. She goes looking for her friends at the animal square, surely they must have something sweet for her. Dog is eating a yummy apple, but he’d rather not share it with Rabbit. A lesson in sharing. None of her friends will share their food with Rabbit. Then they feel bad and make her a carrot cake. She does share with them. Readers will enjoy returning to Animal Square to see these characters interact. A starting point for discussion on sharing for toddlers and preschoolers.

A cute book about not sharing but then making it up to the person you did not share with in order to say sorry. This book is fairly simple but I think displays an important message, that sometimes we may be selfish towards our friends but we can apologize and make things right. Also important, the friend we were selfish to can forgive us.
