Gretel And Hansel: A novel about the effect of parental conflict during a divorce on a child

Rate this book
Gretel's parents are divorcing. Their constant ongoing conflict is tearing Gretel apart. What most parents do not understand is that every child blames themselves for their parent's divorce. Studies show that children believe this even if told this is not the case. And the problem does not end with the divorce. In this very true to life tale Gretel begins to sleepwalk while having nightmares about her favorite fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel. The sleepwalking becomes more and more of a problem at her stepmother's house. Gretel sets fire to the house during one sleepwalking dream and wakes to find herself alone in the woods after another. It isn't until Gretel actually becomes lost in the wilderness that her natural parents really take notice. But is it too late?
