This is the second in the Creation Adventure Series that I have read. I’m not really that impressed by either book. The stories have great potential for interest and excitement. I also appreciate the strong stand for the authority and inerrancy of the Bible. It’s just that I’m not really sure what the audience they are aiming to reach. The scientific details are fairly advanced, but the writing is for a younger audience. While I appreciate the faith of the men they have chosen to include in their stories, they choose the oddest moments to insert soliloquies about Creation principles. They are just not that well written. I guess they might hold young teens attention, but I don't think they would for long.
Again I was surprised by the inclusion of a few words. While they were not profanity, they were more flippant with the Lord’s name than I would have expected from a Christian children's book.

This true story of a great American Hero Colonel Jim Erwin, begins with him at 1000 feet from the summit of Mr. Ararat. While stopping to rest so very high up, he sees a falcon soaring way below him, and it reminds him of his days as the top Air Force test pilot, "Top Gun." He reminisces about one particular dangerous flight, which will leave the reader breathless in the adventure. Immediately after that, the story continues back on Mt. Ararat, where an avalanche pushes him down, down, somersaulting down the mountain until he comes to a painful stop. Too battered to continue, he must camp on the side of the mountain, alone except for the howl of the wild dogs nearby. He sees the moon and begins reminiscing about his landing and walking on the moon - another dangerous and exciting event. Finally rescued off the mountain the next morning, he lives to become a famous astronaut and a bold witness of his Christian faith. So much more adventure than I can write! I would recommend the book to everyone 8 years to 100 - it's that good.
