I found this book followed the same themes as ‘Beyond the Fence’. A wonderful tale of how a black and white cat living in the dull and quiet streets of a town discovers the wonderful world beyond the blue-grey hills it gazes upon everyday and finds itself a new, safe and beautiful home where it feels it belongs!

Again I love how this book made me reflect on the question, where do we all belong? Do we all deserve freedom and to choose for ourselves?

Another amazing feature was how the illustrations cleverly captured the nature of each location the cat found itself in. The dull and dark colours in the small and cramped pictures of where the cat started gives a feeling of uneasiness and a desire to leave! On the other hand, the new home is full of bold and bright images that fill the page, filling my heart with warmth as I stare in awe at its beauty, creating a sense of comfort and belonging!

Loved it!
