Forrester Square #4

Ring of Deception

July 19, 1983...

The Kinards, the Richardses and the Webbers - Seattle's Kennedys. Their 'compound' - elegant Forrester Square...until the fateful night that tore these families apart.

Twenty years later...

Detective Luke Sloan was hard-edged, intimidating and completely out of his element working undercover in Forrester Square Day Care. But posing as a carpenter gave him a perfect view of the jewellery exchange across the street, where stolen jewellery was being fenced. And where Abby Douglas worked.

Abby had completely overreacted when Luke first encountered her and her daughter at the day care, and the police officer in him had immediately put her on his list of suspects. But when Luke began to realize that her fear was over something - or someone - far more dangerous, the man in him needed to protect her.

I've been a writer, one way or another, all my life. Before I could read, I made up poems and my mom wrote them down for me. In elementary school, my teachers almost always let me write poems or stories instead of requiring me to do art projects. Always, I dreamed of becoming a published writer...and that dream came true! I write novels about sexy, powerful men and independent-minded women, and what happens when they find each other and fall in love. My books are sexy and romantic, and they've very often full of romantic suspense. I write the kinds of books I love to read, and I hope that makes my readers happy.

Ring Of Deception by Sandra Marton is a good read. Ms Marton has penned a well written book. Luke and Abby's story is loaded with great characters, suspense, humor and drama. I enjoyed Ring Of Deception and look forward to reading more from Sandra Marton in the future. Ring Of Deception is part of the Forrester Square Series, but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I purchased a copy of this book at a library sale.
