WOW ... I Had No Idea ... I Am Going To Start Deleting Connections Tomorrow

Ton of security information. I am a cynic and when it comes to online access, I expect bad stuff to happen. But this book showed that I’m more gullible than I imagined.

So many actions to take

We do well to remember that at its core LinkedIn and all the other social media pkatforms are just applications, so they're not perfect. But because of their millions of users, and the expansive sharing of personal information they encourage, they're thecstuff of hackers' dreams. Patrick's e-manual is a handy guide to dozens (since each of the 10 issues has several hints) of things you can do to prevent handing over your identity to someone who will cause you thousands of dollars of damage for less than $10 to them. In truth you're not going to take every one of these steps; if you did nobody would bd able to find you or follow up with you, which defeats the purpose of having a social media account in the first place. But any one of these 40+ tips will save you a boatload of headaches down the road, and it will be worth a great deal more than the price of the Kindle.
