Mr. Mean Bean teaches young children a lesson about sharing and taking care of other people's property. Mr. Mean Bean does not play well with others or treat others very nicely. He learns by example when his friends decide to have a surprise party for him.
Mr. Mean Bean learns that kindness is the best policy and treating others with respect will make it more likely that others will want to spend time with you.
I do wish the author would have hired an illustrator.
Mister Mean Bean teaches a great lesson for the bully and the everyone else, too. Both sides win, and understand why. I highly recommend this story for children. Thanks to Goodreads First Reads for a copy of Diane's book.
The story is cute with a good moral and the artwork was adorable. My son loved every page and when Mean Bean turned into (spoiler) just Bean the look on my son's face was pure excitement. I know we will have many other readings of Mister Mean Bean to come.
This is a great book about teaching children to share and value other people's property. Just right length for younger children. Great book! I received this book free from Goodreads Giveaways.
